The main purpose of this rig is gaming and coding, occasionally running multiple VM's, and run the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite. For games it can range from the newest AAA game, or it can be moba's. For coding it can range from taking gigabyte graph files and finding the shortest path, or recommendations (and example of heavy CPU usage). It was important to have a fast CPU with multiple threads. At the time of building Ryzen was an okay option but wasn't the powerhouse that it is currently. If I were to rebuild I would do a Ryzen chip just for the productivity of it. There are a few things I would like to change about the rig: - New 4k Gaming Ultrawide with high refresh rate. - New Graphics Card, currently waiting for the new Nvidia Ampere Cards - Double the RAM from 16GB to 32GB, and changing it out for Corsair Vengeance for RGB control.$2,990.84 -

I originally built this PC because I needed a big upgrade from my old system (i7-4790k CPU w/ a gtx 960 GPU). With gaming in mind I wanted to make sure I wouldn't struggle with playing any big titles that caught my eye or streaming said titles. I began the build with eventually wanting to do a custom water loop in the future. Ever since I started building PC's and saw that was an option I knew I had to have a system with it. I watched countless videos of how to bend hard tubing, how fittings work, and just the overall process of how to build a water loop start to finish! I then made a part list, purchased all my cooling parts slowly until I had everything I needed and then some! (Bought extra fittings and extra hard tubing because I knew I was going to mess up some of the bends) Mostly I use my system for gaming/streaming (twitch.tv/ScrapppFPS) and I play games like CS:GO, Valorant, Apex Legends, and Call Of Duty.$2,984.65 -

My son, Chuy, was an avid PS4 fortnite player until I proved him wrong that PC's are way better at gaming. We made a bet that if I built a "Gaming PC Rig" it would beat his PS4 loading times and have a higher resolution (1440p of course). Sure enough he's addicted to his new PC while the PS4 is now collecting dust. This was our first computer build together and could not find a better excuse than to drive to our closest Micro Center (2 hours away) to buy part by part. We have put a lot of work into it and cannot wait to upgrade to a 3080. PS5 my a**.$2,981.79 -

I wanted to do a full dual custom water-cooled loop for a long time, and when I saw the Tower 900 from Thermaltake, I knew it just had to happen. Is it completely overkill for gaming, streaming, and light YouTube video editing? Absolutely. Do I regret doing it? HELL NO! The only thing I would have done differently from the start would be to not try to use the Corsair iCUE for this complex of a project. I ended up switching over to Aquacomputer Octo, Quadro, and splitty4's, and it's amazing how much easier and more powerful the accompanying software is to use.$2,893.93 -

Coming from a 10+ year old PC that was bought from Fry's, I figured it was time for an upgrade. Mainly using my PC for general purposes and a little bit of gaming. Since this was my first time building a PC, I went to YouTube to get some ideas. I was only looking to spend about $1000 but things sure added up quickly. went to PCPartPicker and started putting my list together. After a long wait on some items to finally be back in stock, Im pretty happy with the way it turned out. Next upgrade would be a new GPU to have it match better with the rest of the build.$2,839.86 -

Computers and gaming are my passion. This year I finally got my wife into PC gaming. This setup is a His/Her setup to reflect each of our personalities, favorite colors, and design language. It celebrates our individuality while also bringing us together. I will do a separate submission highlighting HER rig. Our Main Game Currently: Call of Duty Modern Warfare. I am working on getting her into RPG games like Diablo III, & The Witcher, as well as strategy games like the Total War Series. The goal of my rig was to get everything to match and sync. Everything in my setup is Razer themed, and ALL my lighting syncs through Synapse. I went with AMD for the first time in 15 years because the Ryzen chips are trouncing anything Intel has for most tasks. I just got my Philips Hue Hub and plan on either getting play bars, or their light strip for my desk lighting as that will also sync with Synapse.$2,832.37 -

I work for my father at a manufacturing company where we are the only IT employees. We needed new desktops so we decided to personally build one that fit our unique tastes. I had wanted to dive into full custom water loops, so I went all out with this build. This being my first ever water cooled PC, I wish I'd have taken my time in modifying the case to accept an additional radiator. Lots of custom work had to be done to this computer for cable management and water tube paths. It's used as a work computer but also served the purpose of occasional fun after hours. We call it, "The Server."$2,830.96 -
