Playing shooter games like Valorant and Fortnite it's important to have high frames. This build does just that! Averaging around 100 FPS in Fortnite using a 2140X1440 display monitor. Future upgrades would be the unannounced AMD zen 3 CPU coming out in November.$2,064.94 -

I have been playing World of Warcraft for over a decade now and after years of research and saving for a desktop, I finally decided to build my first ever pc from scratch. It all started when i was able to snatch the very evasive Asus ROG Strix B450-I from Micro Center's Web Store last may, thank yous Micro Center for putting one there. I also play CS:Go, Valorant with it with no problems at high settings. Only upgrade i have in mind right now is the Nvidia 3000 series RTX 3070.$1,535.08 -

I wanted to build a PC for a long time and finally had the money and time to do so. I wanted it to be colorful and open to show off the good stuff inside. My plan for this PC is gaming, video editing, and general use. I don't have any plans for upgrades as of right now.$2,032.36 -

I needed to find alternative means to do so. This then began my build, which I have not done in over 15 years. The figurine Shenlong in this case, was an homage to my favorite Gundam. As much as a Gundam is a tool for its pilot, this computer build is a tool that has allowed me to stay connected with the world. In general, I have used this for work designs, staying in touch with friends from all over the world and occasionally play Call of Duty: Warzone. I had to be very conscious in the build, as I had to find alternative means to fund this project during this difficult time. This was a great way to keep my hands busy, and allow for more productivity in general. As soon as I am able to afford more, I want to upgrade the limited used graphics card to the new 3080.$1,174.94 -

My last computer was getting a little long in the tooth and, since we can't travel anywhere, our vacation plans were put on hold. Most of that money went into savings, but SOME of it I earmarked to upgrade from an fx-6300 and gtx 1060 to what you see before you. I am notoriously difficult to shop for and I thought a few PC parts would be a great gift idea for my significant other. While not much of a surprise, the parts were exactly what I wanted. While I am still fine tuning the fans and noise levels, this machine satisfies all my needs. So far, I've been using it to play Control (because hey, new rig, new game) and Need for Speed: Most Wanted. It hasn't made me any better at gaming, but I'm having fun and I'd say that's what it's all about at the end of the day. Had I had it to do over again, I might have held out a little longer for the newer graphics cards, but just like anywhere else, better tech is ALWAYS just around the corner.$2,141.88 -

And truthfully, I've never ever built one completely from scratch. I've tinkered and upgraded, but never a full on build. I built this computer to play RTX games like Control, other third person action games, FPS games of all kinds, and those "walking simulators" like Firewatch and What Remains of Edith Finch. I LOVE a great game story. I mostly play PC games like Destiny 2 and Deliver us the Moon... as well as fun VR games like Half-Life: Alyx & Beat Saber. I also love to stream with my family with games like Davigo VR, Fall Guys, Minecraft, Overwatch, Fortnite, Splitgate, Among Us, and others! Our Twitch channel is BurtonFamGaming. This rig is a gaming, VR, streaming PC... mostly for me (Dad), but also for the whole family (only... with Dad's permission of course. Only I have the password) :-D If I could go back, I might have waited a few months so I could purchase a 3080... but oh well. :-) I researched this for most of quarantine before finally building it about 4 weeks ago... so frankly, there's not much I would change about how I built it. The ONLY thing I wish I had done was perhaps get an X570 board or the ROG Strix B550-E so I'd get that Gen 2 Type C front header. I also plan to upgrade to 32 gigs of ram before long... but besides that, I'm really happy with it!$1,494.91 -

I built this gaming computer to switch over from console gaming to PC gaming with the focus in high frame rates. I have had a passion for computer building for a few years now thanks to Youtubers like Jayztwocents, Bitwit, Paul's Hardware, Linus Sebastian from LTT. With this build I focused on price per performance at the start and over a year switched out parts and upgraded where I felt like a needed improvement to get where I am now with my rig. I also did the best I could with cable management to make it look as clean as I possibly can. the last and only upgrades I want for my build is two 140mm fans for my front intakes to even out the air flow within my case. I will always work and continue to perfect this build as long as I own it.$1,703.92 -

My friend PJ had committed to his first serious PC gaming experience, so I helped him out by recommending the best parts for his budget and (mostly) building it for him. He likes playing Action Adventures like Risk Of Rain 2, Darksiders II, and the Tomb Raider games, so I think he has plenty of power to max out these games now. Really, he can run anything he wants and I am jealous! In the future, we want this machine to pair with the Steam Index and be a serviceable VR gaming rig to play Half Life Alyx.$1,919.91 -

My old laptop was dying so decided to build a PC to kill time in the middle of this Covid. I first built a budget system under $800 for some light CAD, youtube, 4K playback, coding and web browsing. But after 2 weeks. I felt this strong urge to "upgrade" because who doesn't want to be a PC master race, right, right (please say yes so I don't feel bad about my decision)? Anyways, my brain said "no" but my hands took out the credit card and now I am here posting this. I am starting to think that this rig might be too big, and looking at some ITX builds now. I should let my wife keep the credit card because that "urge to upgrade" is hitting me again.$1,613.94 -

It was a great learning experience. I mainly play multiplayer FPS games like RB6 Seige and Warzone. At 1080p high settings system performed very well. Cooling was the only thing I was concerned about. However beefy air coolers these days get the job done. First case I picked up had few broken components including case. So, replaced it with a new case. If you are first time builder please make sure that the Power Supply and Air Cooler are compatible with the case that your are choosing and if you are skeptical and have more space; you can always pick up larger case just to be on the safe side. I built Iceburg to be an all-rounded pc, but for the most part I just play games. I've been hooked on WoW, AC Odyssey, and Horizon: Zero Dawn for the top three. It started out with an AMD 2600x paired with a ROG Strix RX 480. I didn't cable manage that well back then thinking I would upgrade it as I got the money. The AIO cooler I found wasn't sold here in the states from what I've seen and actually found it on the UK's Amazon. I have no idea how I got on there but I did. Turns out I was able to upgrade not too long later. I took the CPU to a 3800x and the GPU to a Red Devil 5700 XT. Added some fans to fill out the case last month and its never looked better. Temps are low 40's across the system and even under a two day run of Aida64, the CPU temps never got above 70 C°. I'm also running the 3800x at 4.4GHz all core 1.37 vcore. I plan on upgrading the motherboard to a Gigabyte X570 Aorus Xtreme in the near future. Thats only because my mom is still using a 6 year old AIO HP. I'm building one for her to give at Christmas. She loves the lights in my system so I am going to transfer over this Asus motherboard and the old tried and true 2600x. The wraith prizim that came with the 3800x is going to her for the looks. The Xtreme will also let me utilize the PCIe gen 4 for my 5700 XT and fill out the case a bit better. Way later down the road I plan on putting in 3 radiators and a distroplate to do a custom loop. I did have to dremel out the GPU support bracket where it contacts the fan shroud because the middle fan would catch on the slider no matter how I angled it.$2,453.40 -

In the past, I have purchased prebuilt laptops and desktops from well known companies. I wanted to get more "bang for my buck" and decided to build my first computer. I have never built a computer before but I thought it would be fun. I spent so much time watching different YouTube videos and I thought I could do it. My previous computers were not powerful enough to play games such as Valorant or Warzone. I didnt want to spend a ton but I wanted a PC that will be useful for gaming for the next several years with upgrade-ability down the line. It took time picking the parts for the build as I tried to do as much research as I could but once I decided on the parts, I chose Micro Center for the parts as they have absolutely everything. I was excited once I purchased everything but once I bought all the boxes home, I was somewhat worried I would break something and mess up it up royally. But I took my time and went slowly - I mean very slowly. I read each manual and watched more videos. The build took almost an entire day! When I pressed the power button, it worked! I was so excited when I got to the BIOS screen. There were no problems posting and its been running great so far. Im really happy with it and its been running games smoothly!$1,414.91 -

Ever since then i have played every single console that has come out to this date. But one in particular that i wasn't able to obtain was a PC powerful enough to handle major games. This year was finally the year. I decide go hard, or go home and bought only quality pieces. I wanted a Pc that could handle games that are to come out for the next 10 years. I don't want to have to spend another dollar on a console that is not at peek performance, because they want to be able to up sale me in the future. Well no thank you, I just up sold myself And now I am in love.$2,060.63
