I've been using a 10 year old PC that my friend gave me and it finally died. Instead of trying to figure out what parts needed to be replaced, I thought it was a good time to just build an entire new PC from scratch. I built this mainly for gaming as I use a Macbook Pro for work and other day to day tasks. Given that this was my first build and I wasn't too confident, I did not want to spend a whole lot and just opted for the best bang for the buck I could get. So far it's been a beast and I plan on adding some Noctua fans in the future to quiet it down a bit and improve airflow.

Ive been bit by bit upgrading it since I first built it in 2019. He started off with a R5 2600X and a 3060 super and has since been beefed up to a R7 3700X and a RX6800. This machine is used for gaming, school work, and light video creation in my free time.

The Red Rebel is my desktop computer, which I use for gaming (I play TABG, HALO MCC, R6, Subnautica, Splitgate, DBD, and DOOM), but during covid, I also used it to attend virtual school, I also use it to 3D print or just do work. I took the idea from Robey Tech's all AMD build, but I decided that I want my case to not show the specific specs for the device, rather I wanted it to just show the AMD architectures so that I can upgrade to different components in the future. I also added 2 acrylic bars to the side rather than the typical vinyl, which adds a bit of pop to the build. I used a 6800 instead of a 3070 because the 3070 I had in the past wasn't too powerful, plus I don't care too much about ray tracing, and the 6800 is better for pure FPS. I used the QL 120s for the best RGB ion fans I could find, and I used the H150i because I could add my own acrylic pannel to the cooler. Also, I would like to add that I don't keep my computer on the floor, this is just where the best lighting and background were. Hope you enjoy the Build

It was time to upgrade and I wanted a computer powerfully enough to easily handle triple-a games, then I found a really unique case. I let this case lay the ground work and located some excellent new hardware, using Cyberpunk 2077's requirements as a guideline for some minimums. During the build I encountered a design flaw in the case, making the graphics card installation very difficult. Had I known about that, I would have found a way to clear the path before mounting the motherboard. I also could have saved on the cable extensions that I bought with the case as they were completely unneeded. I really love unique case designs, I feel like they can make your set up stand out compared to all the standard RGB boxes.

My first build was i7-6700 (Gigabit Motherboard - don't remember which one) with 250GB SSD and 1TB Hard Drive (7200 RPM). Video Card was an ASUS Nvidia GT745 in a Corsair Medium Tower. Unfortunately, my 1TB hard drive was down to 30 GB when I got back from a trip to Germany and Windows 7 support was done. I bought a 4TB Hard drive and 500 GB SSD and was going to replace the drives in the Intel build when I decided to build a new computer instead to avoid losing the other data. Went to Microcenter in Fairfax VA, and he suggested a AMD Ryzen 7 instead of Intel i7. Price point - very good. Then he sold me the case- Lian Li LiCool II. REALLY good move I later learned. Brought home the gear and put it aside until I had time to build it. Well...COVID closed everything down and I decided to build it to get my mind being stuck in my house. Loved it. It was a great little build, and I was able to upload my photos and purge my old drives. I also updated the First build with the same 500GB SSD and 4TB Hard Drive so I got the old computer working well in Windows 10. My only "complaint": my ASUS Nvidia GT1030 was just underpowered. I was only able to use two monitors and I wanted a three-monitor option. I was not in a hurry to buy a new one, but I was looking for video cards that could handle three or four monitors. A few months later, I watched a video from JayzTwoCents ("Is NVIDIA even trying anymore" - April 25, 2019) when he was reviewing the GT1650. For some reason hecompared it to an PowerColor AMD RX570 Radeon Red Devil 4GDDR. Reason: it was CHEAPER than the GT1650. When I saw the RX570 price ($139.99 vs $80 for the GT1030), my jaw dropped to the ground. When I checked Microcenter, they had that very card on sale for $139.99. Bought it online on the spot and picked it up that day. I replaced the GT1030 and LOVE the new card. I don't even play games!
