It's been working great so far. I have not encountered any games this PC couldn't run. This setup is absolutely perfect for 1440p gaming. The only thing I would not suggest in this build is the 1500-watt PSU. It's unnecessary. I got it during a sale and I didn't know what I was doing. A 800-watt PSU for this build is sufficient.$2,344.93 -

I built this to replace a 10+ year old gaming PC that was starting to show it's age. I mostly play older games like Unreal Tournament 2004, COD, etc., and wanted something reliable that would run smoothly on my 2K monitors. I also wanted to go RGB for the "coolness" factor (don't judge me) and provide some ambient lighting in the room while playing. In addition to the components listed below, I went with Corsair iCUE LINK QX120 RGB fans and a Corsair iCUE Link RGB LCD AIO because I liked the LCD screen showing system temps or pictures. I also purchased a custom 12VHPR cable with a right angle connection for the GPU and also plugs directly into the PSU (not an extender). The length on it is perfect so there are no sharp bends which is highly recommended with these HPR cables. These extra components added about $550 to the cost, so the total cost for the system was about $2,500.$1,938.94 -

New gaming rig ment to be able to handle high-ultra settings for games such as Elden Ring, Apex Legends, and Skull and Bones. This setup is ment to create fast boot and load times, currently taking 5-7 seconds to boot into the windows desktop from off state. i9 14 gen to stay last for a long period of time before needing to upgrade. This includes the cpu liquid cooler. DDR5 RAM 5600Mhz for the newest generation that will last a long period of time, and my last past the next cpu upgrade. RTX 4070 Super to handle the majority of games at max settings at 1440p resolution. Currently no stutter or lag experience. GPU using the new power pin connection with the power supply. Future plan consists of 1-2 year from now, which includes doubling up on same RAM capacity and moving from rtx 4070 Super to 5070 Super. This system cost less then a pre-built machine with less specs by $600. The Lian Li tower case is quite large and spacious with multiple fans that keep the system nice and cool during runtimes.$2,069.92 -

My last build was 7 years old and not compatible with the latest versions of Windows (not that I *really* wanted to make the switch). Upgrading the DDR-3 ram to DDR-4 or 5 would require upgrading the motherboard, upgrading the motherboard would require upgrading the processor, an upgraded processor would make my GPU a bottleneck... So I'd basically be building a whole new PC. So I built a whole new PC. It's about half the size, as well. I mostly plan to use it for gaming. I've been playing a lot of Darktide and Hogwarts Legacy, planning on playing some Cyberpunk as well. Also Guild Wars (1), but this PC doesn't change the way I play games from 2007 at all. I also homebrew tabletop rpgs and make character sheets for games I like with character sheets I don't like. In the future I may buy a monitor that supports more than 60hz, and maybe a mechanical keyboard without a num pad, since I really only use it to type in my pin these days, and it will save on desk space.$2,247.86 -
