I'm a videographer with the State Department and have always used either an iMac or Mac Pro for editing in Premiere and AfterEffects. After experiencing a forced reboot to Mojave because of driver incompatibility with Catalina, I decided I needed more control and frankly power. So I converted to PC. Since my primary workflow is in Premiere I decided to go with the Ryzen 9 3950X paired with an RTX 2060 Super SC Ultra 8gb. Since I usually travel for work (pre-COVID) I also needed something portable. Hence choosing the Sliger SM580. At 15.8 liters it's pretty compact and easy to transport when I need my workstation mobile. MOBO is a Gigabyte B550 I AORUS PRO AX, with Team T-FORCE VULCAN Z 64GB (2 x 32GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3200, SAMSUNG 970 EVO M.2 2280 1TB, Sabrent 1TB Rocket NVMe 4.0 Gen4 PCIe M.2 on the back. PSU is a Seasonic FOCUS SGX-650, 650W 80+, and to keep things cool I'm using the NZXT Kraken X63. OC is 4.35 at 1.15v with XMP enabled (Mem & FCLK @1600) This is my first build and fortunately, it has been put to work as quickly as I could get it running! Looking forward to maybe trying to go smaller... ;)$2,294.91
