(I have an Alienware R7 that's on its last legs) I built this PC for my Dad. He saw how much fun I was having in my games, so he wanted to get into gaming without breaking the bank. We played Apex Legends, Call of Duty Warzone, and Fortnite, and he's been having a blast on his time off from work. I'm glad that everything turned out ok, and for the price to performance, I'm really glad about how everything turned out. Along with that, I wanted this to be an upgrade to our family's main workstation PC which was an ancient HP desktop that we got back in 2008. For what he does, it will last him for another 5-10 years. Thanks to Micro Center for stocking all of these parts at great prices!$561.76 -

I have a PC for gaming, but I do not have a dedicated PC for streaming and video capture. My gaming PC had to handle both the game and streaming. It wasn't ideal because when the game crashes my PC, I had to restart my stream. So I decided to build another PC just for streaming. Since this is for streaming, I don't need "state of art" parts. I got all parts needed for this build for only around ~900 buck. I was able to pick up a used GTX 1660 for 80 bucks on ebay. I also picked up elgato 4k capture card. It's probably the most expensive part in this build, but it's worth it. Although I built this for streaming, it can handle light/casual gaming as well thanks to the 1660 GTX GPU.$1,057.96 -

This PC was a build with a case and GPU I purchased from a previous owner for cheaper than retail. I decided to spend extra on the CPU and Motherboard for upgradeability, but used the stock cooler because I haven't encountered any issues with overheating (I don't overclock). I've mainly used this PC for my general needs and some light gaming on Valorant, Apex, and Siege. I haven't really tested any games with heavier requirements, and I probably won't be playing anything super intensive until I eventually get a better graphics card. I built this PC because I found case at Micro Center that caught my attention, the Maingear Vybe mid tower case that is in red. The purpose of this rig is basically for general computing, desktop computing, gaming. The games I play are usually FPS games from Roblox. I do plan on getting other fps games and BeamNG Drive also. I also used this to upload my gameplay videos, (channel: ix.cryorig_games) I upgraded my stock cooler to a vetroo V5, and added 2 more sticks of crucial ballistix 16gb kit at 3200mhz. Also, this build of mine was inspired after the SRT Hellcat, so the red and black theme will be perfect. I also added in some sleeved extensions from inland, and it really matches my build. My case fans are Arctic bioniX and Arctic P12 PWM PST's. Bitwit's videos also inspired me to make a build this nice!$1,131.90 -

My gaming rig, used mostly for Destiny 2, Escape From Tarkov, Battlefield 4, Far Cry, BioShock, Batman, and CS:GO. I also use this setup for Hi-Res music, it’s connected to my receiver and speakers as well as my headphone amps, and headphones. I also used this to record and digitize my entire record catalog in 192 kHz WAV. This build was designed to have very minimal RGB, and for the little it does have stand out inside a case with dark tinted tempered glass. Only a small line on the motherboard VRM heat sync, the ram sticks, and the GPU have RGB, and I went with a soft orange color to match the glow of the tubes on one of my amplifiers. For future upgrades, I would really like to get a matching RAM kit and have 32GB of RAM. However the more pressing upgrade is the GPU, I already had the 1660ti that is in it now, which is pretty serviceable. But I am trying to get a 3080 for a reasonable price so that my 1440p ultra wide can actually go to it’s full 144hz. I would also like to get some custom sleeved black cables at some point to really neaten up the cable situation, but I think it looks great for now with the stock cables. The biggest focus for me was performance and understated style and also minimal size for an ATX chassis, with essentially all black components, and a dark tint on the case glass. I went for a cooler that was going to more than handle my 5900x with a slight OC, and thankfully the 280mm rad fits perfectly in the front of my case. I also made sure to take advantage of my PCIe 4.0 compatible m.2 slot by putting in a 1TB NVMe PCIe 4.0 drive for games, and a 500gb PCIe 3.0 NVMe for my boot drive. My brother and I put a massive focus on correctly managing the cables, and making sure it was all as clean as possible. At the end of the day this is essentially my dream PC, and I cannot wait to finish getting the rest of the parts I need to be at the maximum potential for this build. So I saved up and built this. I do everything on this now, everywhere from watching lectures to working on large CAD files and playing games. I've been playing games that I can play with my friends, like Valorant, Phasmophobia, GTA, Rainbow 6 Siege and such. For these games, the 1660 Super can handle 1440 pretty well, so for my first build, I'm very satisfied. In hindsight, I think getting a 20 series card would've been nice, especially for 1440p gaming, but a lot of the budget went to the monitor (which I like very much and I can't even look at the laptop display now) and getting a worse monitor for a better graphics card wouldn't make much sense. Also, getting a semi-modular/modular PSU would've been a good idea. I think I cable-managed pretty well, but it wasn't exactly the easiest. The single RGB fan came with the case, and that is the only RGB part outside the little strip that comes on the Aorus mobo. I put it on the back as it's the only place I can see the lights from$1,441.99 -

I built this rig with the intention to play mostly FPS games like Apex and do some light 3D modeling on the side. After Covid hit I realized how lucky I was to get an upgrade from my previous laptop as it made online school much easier when running programs like Revit, building the rig also gave me a basic understanding of computers which helped me to take a tech support class. I think if I built this rig in the future I would have saved a bit more and opted for a larger hard drive but I managed to salvage a HDD from a laptop for extra storage even though it isn't the fastest thing in the world. In the near future I would like to upgrade to a monitor with a higher refresh rate.$723.90 -

Anywho my future upgrades will include a custom red and black RTX 3070 with a newer and quieter power supply that will fit my needs for ultra gaming and for my schoolwork (ill get to see texts in Google doc in beauty form lol :D).
