I got an older retro case from my boss and decided to finally make a sleeper build. It was missing a side panel, so I modeled one and had it laser cut from plexiglass. Used all Noctua fans to try and match the beige case and for great cooling. The case also had minimal cooling (as the previous PC did not need it), so I needed to cut a hole in the top for a fan and get creative with some other fan placements. I play mostly last-gen games, so performance was chosen to be pretty middle ground. I also tend to do a lot of system admin related tasks, so having strange drives like a hot-swap SATA bay helps immensely. I also like retro PC tasks, so I added an adapter to make the floppy disk drive function as a USB device. Overall wonderful build, the only thing I would do differently is try to add more USB ports, as this case does not have any front-panel ports and not enough rear ones. I would like to eventually paint the two drives in front, but have yet to find the time.$1,118.42 -

Had a budget of around $800, and got a SUPER SOLID rig. Micro center had great deals with their bundles and got a killer deal! This is a massive upgrade, and now can easily run games with my 144hz monitor. What a great experience, and I appreciate Kenny helping me chose these parts for my budget!$1,031.92 -

I really like how it turned out and it works amazingly. The hardest part was learning how to chain the fans but other than that it was pretty easy . I couldnt add the case fans in my parts list but they are cooler master mf120 halo. Also I have a western digital 2 tb m.2 ssd. In total i spent 1,300 plus tax which ends up being 1,500. If I could change anything I would get an AIO to reduce cpu temps for better performance.$1,122.94 -

I built this because my sister had a potato dell optiplex 9020 and her internet card gave out so i was like why not use this excuse to get the benefit of the bundle deals in microcenter plus i live like 10 mins away and i built it for much cheaper than i would've if it wasnt from microcenter. She mainly games, uses it for school, draws from time to time and I was also interested in grabbing a amd graphics card and the 6700xt was super popular and so good from the statistics i have seen it just demolished the 3060 that i was at first trying to get so I just grabbed the 6700xt for such a low price and I got the i7-12700k bundle !$1,531.81 -

I decided to pull the trigger to build my first PC for the first time because lay offs are coming soon, and I needed a machine to continue with work and gaming! I'm a graphic designer and work in esports so I dabble into both! I can't wait to get into PC games and continue playing with friends that are strictly only on PC. I purposely went with AM5 to make it easier for upgrades in the future. The gpu upgrade will definitely be awhile yet, but I plan to get some lian li sl120 infinity fans in there and if needed more ram and storage down the line! Hoping to also be better at cable management as the journey goes on!$1,182.93 -

Meant to be a gaming rig/workstation to serve as a replacement for my old college laptop as I go off into the world. So far, I'm catching up on older titles I've been missing out on (Tomb Raider, Dark Souls, Doom, etc.), but I'm hoping to be able to run newer games like HZD and GotG without much trouble. Should be a perfect size though as I'll be moving around the country quite a bit.$930.82 -

It started off as a low end computer because I didn't have much money to be able to afford what I desired. And the only reason I was able to afford those PC parts was because I decided to sell some of my electronics. Those electronics include, a Nintendo Switch with all of its games and a few other things I can't remember. And after I save up enough money and bought all my parts from Amazon, only because I didn't know about Micro Center at that time. I know it sucks, and I feel bad for myself for not knowing about it. And that was the worst time for me to start building a computer since it was 2021, when the prices were too high. So my first parts were a Ryzen 3 3200g CPU, an AsRock B450M Pro4 motherboard, Viper rgb 8 GB 3200 Mhz ram, Crucial P2 500GB ssd, Aresgame 450W power supply, and a cheap MSI case. I didn't buy a GPU until 5 months later when I was able to afford one. That was when I found out about Micro Center, so I bought an AMD Radeon RX 6600 MSI MECH 2X GPU for around $460. From there on I started to slowly upgrade my PC. I changed my ram sticks to Crucial RGB 2x8 16GB 3600Mhz. I bought an AIO from cooler master, which lasted me all those months until just recently I upgraded it because my new CPU needed better cooling. Next I upgraded almost everything with the money I saved up from one of the jobs I worked at. I bought a new case, Motherboard, CPU, and new fans. The case was a Fractal design Meshify C, the Motherboard was an MSI MPG B550 Gaming Plus, and the CPU was a Ryzen 5 5600g. I was finally able to play more demanding games, which is good because I love playing Campaign open world games like Far cry and Cyberpunk; and multiplayer games like Call Of Duty. And I was not done, I still wanted better gaming quality and performance. I then decided to go big or go home; Once again I saved up money from work and bought an EVGA RTX 3070 Ti, but I wasn't pleased. So I saved up a little more and bought a EVGA RTX 3080 FTW3 Ultra Gaming 10Gb GPU for the low price of $770 US. And i'm not even joking, that price at Micro Center beat every other retailer, so I was very happy. Also another reason why I was able to afford all the upgrades was because I sold all my old parts to friends or other people, and I would help them put the computer together if they needed it. Then I changed my Ram again to some G.Skill Trident Z Rgb 4x8 32Gb 3200Mhz CL16 because why not. And so this year I made my last PC upgrades until I feel the need to change it up. I received an email from Micro Center of a CPU & Motherboard combo deal for an Intel platform, and I've been wanting to upgrade my CPU so that was my chance to which I took. And that was what caused me to change my AIO to a 360 mm for much better cooling. I also forgot to mention a few other parts I added and changed, which were a new case and more SSD storage. I will have all my recent parts listed, so there is no need for me to list them here. Lastly, the name Rem comes from a female from one of my favorite anime, at first sight she isn't so great but over time she becomes a lovable person just like my PC. And her hair is blue which is my favorite color. Finally, all of this happened because I was bored of playing games on console and I wanted to become better since I wasn't making anymore progress on controller. And I was inspired by Linus Tech Tips to build my own rig. I learned almost everything from his YouTube channel. I want to thank you Micro Center for all the amazing deals and for reading my rant of my long journey that lead me here.$2,276.85 -
