I wanted to do a racing-themed build and have always been a big fan of the Ford GT40, so I painted the case in Gulf Racing colors and added custom vinyl graphics.

I used to be a big gamer back in the 90's when Counterstrike, Quake III Arena and lan parties were a thing. I used to work for the old Comp USA in FL in the upgrades dept. and I was a big NFS fan also back in the days. As I got older I faded away from PC's and technology. A few years back I ended getting my dream PC (Alienware Area-51 R5) and after a few years I ended getting a MSI 6900XT gaming Z trio and my R5 was having some issues with it and Alienware was not doing anymore bios updates for the Area-51. I was frustrated as I spent so much money on this video card and was not able really see what its full potential was. Little by little I had build my dream gaming room setup and I was lacking a PC to showcase. I started to reaserch PC components and also started watching youtube videos on CPU's, GPU's, benchmarks, memory, motherboards and started to get back into things and catch up with PC technology. I said to myself " I used to build PC's back in the days and I used to help people build PC's" . I took my time and decided I wanted something different so I decided to build a AMD system as I already had the 6900XT video card and I based my build around that. One day I went to Microcenter and met Andy Robertson and I told him what I was planninng and what I had in mind and after almost 2 hours of asking questions and showing me the differences and educating me he gave me his insights on some components and helped me pick up everything down to the case and I could not be happier. I recycled some componets I had aready bought to upgrade my Alienware Area-51 R5 and combined everything with the new build. A few more trips to Microcenter and the amazing help that Andy provided and also the patience he had with me while I was showing him pictures of my gaming room and what I had already had setup he gave me more suggestions and the build was finally complete. I cannot thank Andy enough for his patiance and time and for helping me build such an amazing PC.

I play GTA V Roleplay, RDR2, iRacing and other racing sims. I run 3 high refresh 1440p monitors, and the 6900XT was a huge step up from my Vega 56. Also upgraded from air cooling (Scythe Ninja 4) to an AIO (Arctic Liquid Freezer II).

This PC was built with no specific purpose other than do anything my busy mind decides to focus on at any moment. I do business, photography, gaming, video editing, streaming and race sim / vr all from this bad boy. Slowly upgrading parts over time allows me to stay on top of the trends but I think I found a point where an upgrade isn't necessary (unless 3080s become easily in stock) I'll try to get better pictures later lol

I built this pc to get into video editing, music creation, heavy gaming and streaming. I dont have any channels yet but im working on it. I got the idea to make a pc after watching bitwit and austin evans make custom pcs inside microcenter and when i found out i live only 1 hour away from microcenter i started planning my build, obssessively checking if motherboards were in stock (the board i was looking for kept getting reserved and sold out). Then one day i see they got a shipment and so i put the items in the cart and reserve them. I only reserved the motherboard and cpu because i was afraid they would sell out. So i planned a small trip with my gf to this store an hour away. At first i was just going to leave with the parts i reserved but walking into the store i saw an opportunity to grab almost everything (excluding graphics card more on that later) for a lot cheaper than i would get in other places and instantly instead of waiting on shipping. Luckily my brother upgraded his computer a couple years back so we had an extra graphics card laying around collecting dust so i decided to wait on the gc, insert the old asus r9 380 and keep looking at microcenter for a good time to upgrade. And thats what i would use this money for. I was looking at getting a rtx 2070 super but with the money i would be saving i can shoot for a 2080 ti! Thanks for reading -Billy Juarez Proud owner of a new pc :) -edit added powersupply to complete build isnt exact model but specs are the same added graphics card i would like to buy (to see full price of build)

I sold my last system (Mad Hatter) the week the Ryzen 3000 series came out. But I didn't have a case to put the new cpu and mobo into. So I made my own makeshift 'test bench-esque' case with random things I happened to have. A few months later, a buddy of mine was finishing up some home projects and I asked him to make me a T frame with any left over wood he had. Fast forward 9 months later, and I finally got the chance to start this project. CPU/MOBO/RAM - Purchased from Microcenter 7/7/19. SSD/HDD - My previous configuration had too many drives. So I got the NVME ssd for the essentials and two 2tb hdds, one for games the other for recordings. GPU - A reason to give my old GTX 1080 to my g/f. CPU Cooler - I knew I wanted to go back to air with this build. I didn't realize this cooler was... this big. CASE - Extra wood a buddy had left over after making a shelf. Extras - Acrylics and Acrylic bender from Performance-PCS. I originally planned this to also have a handle. I purchased the MNPC Tech cnc handles. But as I was building, I realized how heavy this would be. So I'll save those for the next/smaller build. **June Update** Replaced the acrylic panel below the gpu with a wider version. The gpu now looks sad at night.
