The original goal was to play Counter-Strike, and now I play all kinds of games ranging from Valorant, Overwatch, Witcher, Red Dead, R6, etc. Something I would have done different in hindsight is getting a stronger processor, as even though I game at 1440p, a stronger processer with more cores would have been better for streaming and school work.$1,147.94 -

Found someone local selling computer components for $250 for CPU+MB+RAM+CPUCooler+GPU and ended up picking up a Cooler Master TD500 Mesh and the power supply seperately in order to get everything together. This will be setup for someone who has been looking to start using a computer and of course having the GPU will be able to play some games that is age appropriate for them. Their parents were looking to buy a cheap computer and this build came out to be a lot less than their set budget (was 700).$480.00 -

I built this specifically to handle all video editing and gaming, as well as to have a PC that measured up to my mechanical keyboard and peripherals obsession. I play primarily single player RPGs, and also have to create a good amount of video content for work. I needed something that could handle relatively serious gaming applications as well as the most demanding scenarios Adobe has to offer, and this has been up to the task in absolutely every area. I've also recently discovered the joy that is Moonlight streaming on a hacked Switch, so now I'm able to play PC games on the go without having to purchase a Steam Deck. Next up is modifying my 3D Printer so that I'm able to stop/start/pause/monitor prints both from my PC and on the go. I continue to find new use cases for every hobby I take up, and generally the common thread is needing an adequately powerful PC to run everything. This thing overperforms every single time.$1,399.92 -

I had a intel i5 10500 + GTX1080 TI build 3 years ago. I gave the old PC to my younger brother, so he won't bother me no more for computer access. I am going to college soon, so I wanted a smaller PC to be able to move easily and won't take much space as I will be living in shared dorm my first year, so I went with this Mini-ITX case. I had concern about the air flow and temperature of the components when under load because this is a such small case, but it was all good. The CPU runs at ~40C idle and ~70C under load, GPU runs at ~30C idle and ~60C under load with 100% core voltage and maxed power and temp slider in msi afterburner.$2,129.95 -

This pc means a lot to me in 2020 I started building and built a computer with a i7 2600k and rx570 needless to say it was a very slow and bottlenecked system. In 2021 I got in Microsoft flight simulator 2020 and I realized I needed an upgrade to keep up after research I upgraded to a ryzen 5 5600x and gtx 1080 (this was the height of the gpu shortage). Now I run an rtx 3060ti and am on my way to my private pilots license this computer is what jump started my career into aviation.$1,445.88 -

I started conceptualizing my build about a year before I actually started buying the components. I worked on a budget, did hours of research, talked to experts and finally realized my plans during Covid when I turned 13 years old. Because stores were closed for Covid, I had to buy the parts over the internet - and even almost got scammed on my graphics card. Something was fishy to me so I cancelled the order and thankfully didn't lose anything. The ultimate dream was to have an RTX 3080, but it was way above my budget because it was the time when everyone was buying graphics cards to mine for crypto. I settled on a 2060 and honestly wasn't disappointed. It's been 2 years since my build and I have done a few upgrades - including picking up some PSU RGB extension cables from MicroCenter and a recent upgrade to a RTX4070TI which I am excited about. My next upgrade will probably be to convert to a water cooling system. I really like the RGB look of my computer and will always look to add more somehow. I built this computer for both gaming and school work. I play Minecraft, CSGO, GTA V, APEX Legends, Wolfenstein and a few other games.$1,059.93 -

From the age of like 11 I have been using a hand-me-down laptop with a 1050 and some intel i5 from back during the industrial revolution. That laptop got me through a lot, but the complaints from my neighbors about airplane engines going off wasn't necessarily optimal for gaming. This build was done as a final refresh of a workstation that is based on socket AM4 and using dd4 ram. At the time of writing, the prices of ddr4 ram, ssd storage, and even graphics cards have all dropped significantly. So it was time to hit up Micocenter and make this happen. I used to game on a prebuild and upgrade the GPU and SSD to make it run better. This time I went all out and put everything together myself. With previous experience with upgrading my prebuild and some YouTube videos, I didn't have much trouble putting everything together. I am very pleased with how everything turned out. I have been looking to build my first pc for some time now, once I found out about the upcoming release of AM5 I figured I would wait until there was enough info on this new platform. Fast forward to the last few weeks I found the AM5 build combos on MicroCenter's website, and couldn't believe the savings! So I finally decided to pull the trigger and drive out to St. Davids PA location to finally purchase everything I needed to finally build my first ever PC.. I wanted a platform that I could upgrade over time but get a good base to help future proof what I could. I plan to do a custom hard line liquid cooled setup in the near future but for now just went with an air cooler. I play alot of Destiny 2, day trade in the crypto space, play web3 games and collect NFT's, as well as interested in taking my pencil drawn art and try out the digital age programs with a pen tablet. I believe this build is solid and will offer a nice starting point, the only thing I wish I would have just went with the 4080 strix card like I planned but backed out last minute in an attempt to save a couple bucks and i would have needed a bigger psu. With that said I can always upgrade down the road. Really enjoyed the knowledgeable staff and the one employee Max went above and beyond for me, i planned to purchase Windows 11 on usb but they were out of stock only had the CD so instead of trying to figure out how to make my own media drive which I don't have a laptop or another computer so Max said he didn't want me leaving without everything I needed so he gave me the CD and then had me buy a small USB drive during my checkout of my entire build, then had the tech team download the windows 11 media creation onto the USB for me! By the time I took everything out to my truck and loaded all my parts in and walked back into the store Max had the USB ready and handed it to me. MicroCenter gained a forever customer from me, I will never shop anywhere else not to mention the savings with the build combo (CPU, MOBO, 32GB RAM.) Super Hype, purchased everything wednesday (3-15-2023) and spent the day building and up and running the very next day no issues whatsoever!! Only thing left is to get cable management taken care of lol.$2,085.86 -
