This build was done as a final refresh of a workstation that is based on socket AM4 and using dd4 ram. At the time of writing, the prices of ddr4 ram, ssd storage, and even graphics cards have all dropped significantly. So it was time to hit up Micocenter and make this happen. This build is about a true split between 50% photo editing (work) and 50% running games at 3440x1440 (ultrawide monitor) resolution.$1,769.91 -

My budget was tight ($800ish) but my exam schedule even tighter, thus I had to act quick. I watched all the possible video tutorials on “how to build a PC” and researched the best “bang for buck” hardware in the time span of one weekend¬. I was anxious yet zealous at the same time. I went ahead and purchased all the parts from Microcenter, drove home with the slowest speed I’ve ever driven in my life, rolled up my sleeves, and my journey began. The whole process took me 8 stressful hours, during which I was constantly re-watching videos and checking if everything fit as it should. I was so jittery I even dropped my CPU but thankfully the Internet taught me I could bend the pins back with a card. Phewww. I was also able to reuse my HDD and the m.2 NVMe SSD from my dead laptop which was a big victory considering my budget. I couldn’t stop admiring my build for weeks and I have slowly but surely been upgrading parts ever since. I created a custom logo for myself and purchased a custom GPU bracket to make my design pop. I am a mechanical engineering student currently and I use my PC for AutoCAD, SOLIDWORKS, and to learn programming languages on the side. So far, I’m proficient in HTML, CSS, Javascript and beginner in JAVA, C++ and Python. In my free time, I enjoy playing Rocket League, PUBG, Among Us, Fall Guys, and the classic- FIFA. I also love listening to music and that is why I recently purchased the Hifiman HE4xx. Looking to buy an AMP and a DAC soon (another rabbit hole I am entering). I’m a very visually oriented person and love being able to match my peripherals and pc with RGB. Since I am not a fan of rainbow effects, I have synced all my devices to be split in half - one side light blue and the other dark blue. With the $500 gift card I am planning to majorly upgrade my system. I want to go from a Ryzen 2600x to a 5700x and add 16gb more RAM, so that I can create more complex models in SOLIDWORKS without hiccups. At the same time, I want to upgrade my GPU to a RTX3060 or 2070Super, which will be more than enough for 144Hz 1080p (hopefully for the horribly optimized PUBG too).$1,696.90 -

Hello, i built this pc with parts all from Microcenter in Marieta Georgia. On this pc I play rainbow six siege, minecraft, world of warships, and Call Of Duty Modern Warfare. I know this build probably isn’t gonna win because there are gonna be builds way cooler than mine but i’m giving it a shot. In the future i plan on replacing my 2060 super with a 1080ti, i plan on adding a 500gb Nvme SSD, a x570 mother board, a ryzen 7 3700x, a modular psu, is cable mod extensions and a NZXT case.$1,674.82 -

Gaming Rig, Basically upgraded for Warzone since the Xbox was not sufficient. It was difficult finding parts in stock during the pandemic, I was planning to try my first AMD build but the mid-range Mobo's were non-existent and I thought my existing parts would be more compatible staying with Intel like my old water cooler, ended up having to upgrade everything anyways. The Wife was thrilled!!!
