I have built this PC for primary use, such as content creation and light gaming. It handles great programs like Photoshop and video editing. I added AMD RX 6600, the GPU still runs many titles in 1080p, including the latest modern. Plan to add a second SSD storage, likely Inland NVME for 512GB and upgrade the Graphics Card to RTX4060, so I can play games with Ray Tracing.$482.93 -

I mainly use this $600 budget pc build for gaming. i play Minecraft, Rocket League, Roblox and Fortnite. Everything runs really smooth and it has been very enjoyable to use this PC. One upgrade that I'm planning on doing is swapping the wraith stealth stock cooler that came with my Ryzen 5 5600 to an after market tower cooler for better temps and noise levels. On the flipside, one thing I would do is use a different cooler from the get go instead of having to upgrade. I would also like to add more storage, right now I only have 512gb of storage total.$557.94 -

This PC was put together around the Intel i5 12600kf and Intel Arc A770 Bundle from Microcenter. The total cost for this PC was super impressive given the performance it was putting out. I am able to play demanding games like Flight simulator with stable performance using DX12. I posted some synthetic benchmark scores in the images for reference if anyone is considering getting the A770. If most of the games you play are newer DX12 titles then the A770 is legit. The Powerspec PSU and Teamgroup RAM were also great deals that really completed this build. It will be used for gaming as well as a general purpose workstation PC with its 10 core i5.$890.94 -

This gaming PC was made after a few of the family's windows laptops were damaged. We have a mac at home, but wanted a dedicated Windows PC at home. I used one of the Micro Center Intel bundles as the basis for the gaming build (The $250 one with the Core i5), then picked out parts to build on top of it. A good thing for my current budget was that I had various storage devices at hand for this build. I did decide to get the case elsewhere as I found an open box deal for a case that normally costs $100. I am happy with how things have turned out for this build. For upgrades, I plan on buying more sticks of ram to double the memory capacity and I am in the middle of getting be quiet case fans for the desktop as the case only had two pre-installed and were quite loud and rumbled a lot. I know the motherboard supports the current 14th gen cpu's, so I may do that whenever those go down in price. And if necessary, I might change the CPU cooler if the current $20 one craps out in the future.$772.92 -

Instead of spending around $1000 on a new laptop, I thought I would build a PC for around the same price instead. Right now, I only have a couple games installed, which are Prey and Need for Speed Unbound. Prey is a well optimized game, but it runs on dx11, and arc was known for having issues with non dx12 titles when it came out. I know Intel has gone back and improved drivers for certain dx11 games, but when playing Prey at max settings at 2560x1440p, there would be times where my framerate would drop from 144 fps to around 70 fps. The GPU usage would drop to around 30% To solve this, I ended up using dxvk to make the game run on vulkan. Now it stays at 144 fps all the time, with some shader compilation stutters. Using dxvk in dx11 and dx9 titles to make the game run in vulkan has a good chance of boosting performance with arc cards. To use dxvk, you just need to paste at most two folders into the game's exe directory. There are videos on YouTube that show how to do this. The only downside is that you can't do this in online games that use anti cheat. With need for speed, the game ran well out of the box. Playing at 1440p, I get around 70-85fps at max settings with xess quality. If I disable upscaling, I can reach the same framerate with textures at ultra and the rest of the settings set to a mix of mostly high and some medium. After setting a gpu fan curve, the hottest I've seen the GPU get is 64 Celsius, with vram hovering around 62 Celsius in a superposition benchmark. In terms of the ryzen 7700x, I was able to set a pbo curve of -35 on all cores, and I didn't crash after running prime95 for 20 minutes. I'll have to run core cycler and see if it is truly stable, although I haven't crashed in any games yet. Because of this, it runs extremely cool. At most, I've seen it hit 55 Celsius and pull 75w when gaming. In the prime95 benchmark, it pulled somewhere around 120ish watts and hit a max temp of somewhere around 86 Celsius. According to hwmonitor, the hotspot was also around that same temperature.$964.99 -

I'm thrilled to share my very first gaming PC setup with you all. After years of living in the Mac world, I've finally made the leap into PC gaming, and let me tell you, it's been an incredible journey! Why I Built It: Switching from Mac to PC was a big decision for me, but I wanted to explore the world of gaming in a whole new way. I built this PC because I wanted something powerful enough to run all the latest games smoothly while still fitting within my budget. It's amazing how customizable and versatile PC gaming can be, and I couldn't wait to dive in. Purpose: This PC may be my first, but it's already exceeded my expectations. It's more than enough for me to enjoy gaming to the fullest, whether I'm exploring the vastness of space in "Elite Dangerous" or battling it out in matches of "Overwatch." Games I Play: As someone new to PC gaming, I'm still exploring all the amazing titles out there, but I've already found a couple of favorites. "Elite Dangerous" is perfect for satisfying my craving for space exploration and adventure, while "Overwatch" scratches that competitive itch with its intense multiplayer action. I'm constantly discovering new games to play and loving every minute of it. Future Upgrades and Reflections: While this PC may be perfect for me right now, I'm excited to see where my gaming journey takes me in the future. As I become more experienced with PC gaming, I might consider upgrading certain components to further enhance my gaming experience. But for now, I'm just enjoying every moment of gaming on my new setup and embracing this exciting new chapter in my gaming journey.$874.94 -

As a kid, I always wanted to have a gaming pc of my own, where I could crush any game I wanted and push the limits of performance. My build started in 2017, and I saved every penny I could find to afford it. It's carried me throughout the years to today, with some upgrades of course. Originally, the build consisted of an Intel Core i5-7600K, MSI Z270 Gaming M7, ASUS GTX 1070 STRIX OC, Samsung 850 PRO, and a Seagate Barracuda 2TB. I play indie games like Lethal Company and Undertale, and big games like Battlefield 2042, Mortal Kombat 1, Five Nights at Freddy's, and VRChat. Throughout the time I spent building my pc, I wish I had purchased the parts at once instead of incrementally buying a part when it was possible. I could've gotten newer hardware had I done the former. In the future, I definitely would like to get a 2TB NVME SSD to replace my Seagate hard drive, and upgrade to 32GB of DDR4 ram. I also foresee a switch to the AMD Ryzen 7000 processor line.$2,646.49 -

This case was perfect for my personal build, and I thought it'd look amazing on my desk. I mainly play fortnite and roblox, so I didn't spend too much money on specs. On the other hand, I tried to make it look as aesthetically pleasing as possible since I'd be staring at it longingly for most of the day. I even spray painted the GPU so it'd fit the white case. I'd consider this a mid-range PC in terms of performance, but I think it looks amazing visually. I plan on upgrading the GPU and CPU once I'm free from crippling debt LOL.$656.96 -

This was a budget build I did for a friend, keeping cost in mind, but also a clean look and decent performance. The combination of Ryzen 5600 with RX 6600 is amazing, giving me over 200fps on fortnite (performance mode) on a 1080p, for the budget, this is an amazing build, still looking cool and modern. Sadly, all prices went up in microcenter a month later and I'm not able to replicate this build, the cheapest I could find was a Ryzen 5500 with GTX 1660 Super and a B450 board, paying over $50 on tob of this build, too sad.$664.91 -
