Built this pc in 2022 after I bought the parts from Micro Center and some parts from other retailers. I had a crappy laptop that barely worked and I needed an upgrade. I wasn't willing to spend a lot on a pc and wanted to build something that could get the job done while still playing 1080p games smoothly. I play Valorant and FC24 on this pc :)$744.94 -

Not a professional builder, but I did a lot of research on reddit and pc building sites. I came to the conclusion that with $1.5k budget it's best to get AMD cpu and gpus for the best performance. The build took me the whole day but got done eventually. It lights up on the first try. And it's been working great since. After installing the drivers, I had several games tested in 1440p, and they run perfectly smooth.$1,347.92 -

This pc was built for the purpose of 1440p gaming, but mainly for competitive games like valorant. This is why I went with the 7800x3d to reach high framerates like 700fps in valorant. The purpose of the build was to first build a pc as I have never done that before and second to buy something that could be used to play any game. In hind sight I really don't know why, but I really dont have any games that can actually stress this PC. Normally I play older titles like MCC and some free to play games like CS.$1,249.94 -

This gaming PC was made after a few of the family's windows laptops were damaged. We have a mac at home, but wanted a dedicated Windows PC at home. I used one of the Micro Center Intel bundles as the basis for the gaming build (The $250 one with the Core i5), then picked out parts to build on top of it. A good thing for my current budget was that I had various storage devices at hand for this build. I did decide to get the case elsewhere as I found an open box deal for a case that normally costs $100. I am happy with how things have turned out for this build. For upgrades, I plan on buying more sticks of ram to double the memory capacity and I am in the middle of getting be quiet case fans for the desktop as the case only had two pre-installed and were quite loud and rumbled a lot. I know the motherboard supports the current 14th gen cpu's, so I may do that whenever those go down in price. And if necessary, I might change the CPU cooler if the current $20 one craps out in the future.$772.92 -
