Im currently selling this pc online and have hopes to upgrade to some newer tech. I also think that the gpu is limiting this computers potential and with a better graphics card this can be a gaming beast.$537.93 -

I've been piecing this build together a bit at a time for the last six months. I mainly kept an eye out for components that would be a significant upgrade over my 11900K / 3070 Ti desktop build. Shoutout to the employees at my local microcenter who take time to hunt down the random clearance items I order. Everything but the AIO cooler and the ssd storage devices were bought at microcenter. Currently on the 13700k, I have all P cores overclocked to 5.8 with all E cores at 4.4 with vcore set to 1.35 and medium LLC. My ddr5 is modestly overclocked from 6000 to 6400 for the time being. I need to re-learn how to overclock ram because a lot of bios settings have become more complex since ddr3-ddr4 days. From what I understand, Hynix A die modules should be able to overclock significantly higher frequencies - I just need to learn how to pull that off.$1,624.25 -

It is used daily for everything, including three monitors. Two of these are used for gaming: One 34" ultrawide monitor that runs 3440x1440 at 100hz, and then alternately a 55" TCL 55R646 tv than I use for a console like experience (wireless controller, steam big picture mode) at 4k,120hz. I primarily play RPG / JRPG, action, adventure games. Up next for me is to play the recently updated current-gen version of The Witcher III at 120fps. The name of this build was drawn from the predominantly graphite & silver scheme on many of the components. I just rolled with this color scheme after finding multiple clearance deals at Microcenter that I considered too good to pass up. The graphics card, motherboard, ddr5 ram, and most of the ssd storage were all taken from Microcenter clearance. The biggest problem I ran into was also directly related to this. Specifically, the clearance / open box RTX 3090 Ti ended up being a bare card only and was missing the required 3-pronged power adapter that plugs directly into the card. Thankfully, I was able to contact MSI and I can recommend their customer support. Since the card was still unregistered and under warranty, MSI sent me the power cable I needed at no further cost to me.$1,775.77 -

As the title implies, I dreamt of building a computer for a long time before I got to do it. I was newly hired at a jeweler's workshop and being taught how to work on a few 3D moduling programs. My supervisor noticed how comfortable I am around computers and how I quickly I learned shortcuts and tricks. He told that they're going to buy a new system and showed me the spec sheet some "expert" suggested they put together. He was in for a spin when he asked my opinion (and when he v watched me put everything thing together+cable manage the heck out of it.) On that list was a 3080, during the worst time of the chip shortage. I proceeded to explain that the programs we work on require a fast processor and a lot of RAM, but not so much graphical prowess. He was convinced and next day I had a couple Ks in my pocket shopping for parts and trying to snag the best price on every thing. Even though technically this isn't my computer, I enjoyed building it as it was mine.$804.93
