With this build, I went with a plant and Ghibli theming. I did a case mod of putting a smaller monitor in the front of the case in order to use wallpaper engine to add to the aesthetic of the build. This build was challenging not only because of the monitor mod but also because I top-mounted the AIO which required another mod to be able to attach it.$2,513.90 -

I used to be a competitive gamer but then shifted more towards casual light gaming while adding an emphasis on using the space for school. The build emphasizes form over function as I chose to make it look better instead of using the money for better parts. While I do regret not getting a better graphics card, I'm very happy with my build as it fits my everyday needs.$1,164.91 -

This project is essentially a rebuild of a gaming pc I had previously assembled. This previous build had problems, though. Specifically, I had temps on my 5800x that were quite frankly unacceptable, often spiking over 90 degrees C while under heavy load from a video editing application. The Arctic Liquid Freezer II is one of the best reviewed cpu coolers and has made a significant positive impact on the cooling for this build. One thing I learned through this process is that there is more than one revision of the Ryzen 7 5800x cpu. Many online review sites demonstrate newer revisions of the 5800x run a cooler temperatures and at a lower power draw. So looking back on my purchases, I wish I had specifically bought only the newer revision of the 5800x.$2,044.92 -
