This gaming PC was made after a few of the family's windows laptops were damaged. We have a mac at home, but wanted a dedicated Windows PC at home. I used one of the Micro Center Intel bundles as the basis for the gaming build (The $250 one with the Core i5), then picked out parts to build on top of it. A good thing for my current budget was that I had various storage devices at hand for this build. I did decide to get the case elsewhere as I found an open box deal for a case that normally costs $100. I am happy with how things have turned out for this build. For upgrades, I plan on buying more sticks of ram to double the memory capacity and I am in the middle of getting be quiet case fans for the desktop as the case only had two pre-installed and were quite loud and rumbled a lot. I know the motherboard supports the current 14th gen cpu's, so I may do that whenever those go down in price. And if necessary, I might change the CPU cooler if the current $20 one craps out in the future.$772.92 -

This case was perfect for my personal build, and I thought it'd look amazing on my desk. I mainly play fortnite and roblox, so I didn't spend too much money on specs. On the other hand, I tried to make it look as aesthetically pleasing as possible since I'd be staring at it longingly for most of the day. I even spray painted the GPU so it'd fit the white case. I'd consider this a mid-range PC in terms of performance, but I think it looks amazing visually. I plan on upgrading the GPU and CPU once I'm free from crippling debt LOL.$656.96 -

The main purpose of building this pc was to be able to play games and do work at the same time. The main game I play is Fortnite, and since the 6650xt is a decent card, I can get around 250 fps in game on performance mode. In the future, I plan on upgrading my gpu and my case. The gpu I got is not the best for my cpu(12700k), and a 6800xt would have been a better choice. I also decided to budget my case, which was a huge mistake, since the case I got used molex connectors and it was hard to take off the gpu brackets.$986.91 -

The main goal of this build was to move my clunky ATX mid tower into a smaller form factor. After searching around, I found that Microcenter had unbeatable deals on open box items. I named it BriansMind because that's the name of my socials so I named it that but I hope to have amazing memories with this computer and enjoy it to the fullest. Thanks Micro Center for being right next to my house because if they weren't I wouldn't have any of this stuff but honestly Micro Center is the best store to get your PC parts because they can help you with anything and they dont have just pc parts they have everything things for consoles, laptops, etc. I suggest micro center if your ever gonna buy anything for your pc.$855.91 -

I do programming during the day and then... also during the day... some gaming on the side. Right now I'm playing Persona 5 Royal through the Game Pass service. Games like that don't really require a gpu any fancier than my 6650 XT. The last time I built a desktop pc a few years ago, all the popular with cases were all about tembered glass + rgb. Now, it looks like the popular direction in which cases are going is to feature mesh intake. It makes sense that mesh would be better for airflow, so I decided to join onboard this bandwagon.$1,226.91 -

They have been asking for a gaming PC and I thought building it together from the ground up would be a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon together. For now we have no future upgrades in mind other that cable extensions for the it to look cooler and also to allow better cable management. I don't think there's anything I would have done differently other than to caution my kids that once built, the process of installing and bring the OS up to date would take som additional time. They just wanted to download games right after the BIOS screen came up!$715.43 -

I've been using the same laptop for both gaming and work for the past five years, but it was time to retire it and upgrade to a desktop PC. Since it was my first time building a PC, I wanted something I'd love! Spent a few weeks doing research and finally put this list together. The process went so smoothly and had no issues - super happy with how it turned out! Bought a light strip from AliExpress while looking at other Y60 builds, it's such a nice touch to the look! I borrowed a friend's ex-mining 6600xt GPU, will eventually upgrade later.$1,284.92
