I appreciate gems like Starcraft and ROR2. Since I'm not moving around as much, I can use a PC consistently instead of gaming on my laptop. I was running on a 10 year old hp computer that could barely run games over 50 fps. I decided it was time for a upgrade without breaking the bank, and still could end up lasting for give or take 5-7 years. This computer is for those looking for price to performance and those who are used to the AMD environment. Some of these parts I have used in this setup are used components such as the motherboard which I got for around 80 dollars and the cpu which I got for $160 used. NOTE: as there is oddly no cpu water cooling kits option, here is the model (Cooler Master MasterLiquid ML360L) which is $120 dollars.$1,221.96 -

Built this PC to upgrade from my old laptop, mostly play competitive FPS games (Overwatch 2, VALORANT) and I will also use it for university work (majoring in computer science). I've done some video editing as well, so I might do that too. No plans for upgrades for now, but I could probably have saved on RAM and SSD and upgraded the GPU. Definitely happy with the 7900XTX though and it fits the theme very well.$2,809.90 -

I spec'ed out the rig, but made key changes at the store with the help of the MC staff to substitute some items. We substituted an MSI MB for a "better" Asus MB (bundled the MB, AMD Ryzen 9, and 16GB DDR5), separately bought a more capable DDR5 for 64GB RAM; save the cost of SSD and upgraded the graphics card; swapped the power supplies.$2,129.90 -

Needed a new desktop that could handle work and light gaming. Plus it was a fun project. I'm typically running google earth, adobe, large excel spreadsheets, etc as the same time.. and usually end up with tons of browser tabs going too. I do some light gaming as well.
