What games? All of em, champ. We dabble in everything around these parts, and the 4090 rips and tears them all to pieces. Also, the Fiji water is absolutely crucial for maintaining peak performance during the build process. Stay hydrated bros. P.S. The builder didn't include all of my SSD's, so I'll list them. 980 Pro 1 TB, 970 Pro 1TB, 870 Evo 2TB, and 870 QVO 2TB.$3,327.44 -

I built this machine for doing large-scale simulations and mathematical optimization. The focus is on CPU-intensive tasks, and so the budget went to getting a Threadripper machine and not GPU. In hindsight, I would have selected lower-profile RAM, since clearances ended up being really tight for the CPU cooler.$3,314.98 -

After graduating from school and getting a real job, I knew I needed to get the best gaming setup I could buy to reward myself. I haven't paid too much attention to the PC market since my senior year in high school. The last time I built a PC, I went with a Ryzen 5 3600 and GTX 1080 setup, so you know how out of touch I am now. But I know 4090 GPU is a must for my build. As for the CPU, the i9 seemed too excessive for gaming purposes, so I went with the i7 13700k. I am glad both worked well together in my build.$3,298.93 -

Gpu shortage gaming pc, mainly built for competitive games like apex or warzone but also for turn based strategy games. And I didn’t want to deal with water so I decided to go full air cooling. It was originally mid to high end pc. Planning to use a 3070 ti or 3080 with a 12th gen i5. However due to the chip shortage I was only able to get a 6900xt, and so I switched to a 1000W power supply and Then the i5 felt inadequate so switched to an i7 (i9 runs too hot and it’s just smidge faster for gaming and I don’t do a lot of multithreaded workload). Added 4tb of m.2 pcie4 storage (2tb sabrent rocket and 2tb samsung 980pro) After the upgrade I had a high end pc so I got a Samsung odyssey g7 240Hz 1440p.$3,276.92 -

I play pretty much anything but mostly like simulators (ATS, Train sim world, MSFS 2020 ,etc). it started as a Ryzen 5 2600, 16gb of ram, an EVGA RTX 2060, a corsair h60, on a gigabyte x470 ultra with a random WD ssd that i've since retired. powered by an EVGA SuperNova G2 750w inside of a Fractal design Meshify C (the only part that is the same). the parts list will contain my current setup. my planned upgrade is going to happen within the next couple of weeks, the plan is to upgrade to a Ryzen 7 5800x, stay at 32gb of ram but up the speed to 3600mhz and go from there. since i have all of my own parts i'm gonna throw my 3700x in my old board and make an Unraid Server. ill post some pictures from when i built it and then what it looks like now.$3,175.58 -
