Meant to be a gaming rig/workstation to serve as a replacement for my old college laptop as I go off into the world. So far, I'm catching up on older titles I've been missing out on (Tomb Raider, Dark Souls, Doom, etc.), but I'm hoping to be able to run newer games like HZD and GotG without much trouble. Should be a perfect size though as I'll be moving around the country quite a bit.$930.82 -

Had to pick up the new processor bundle as I've been a fan of Microcenter for years. And had a old Elite 310 case laying around from cougarmaster and had to modify it a little bit to get the 3080 in there but pretty good I do not miss having no spot to hide wiring LOL$1,362.63 -

An aesthetic-focused mid range gaming rig with room to grow and upgrade, designed for my wife. Definitely not winning any awards for the price-to-performance ratio, but I intentionally specced around some components (like the white, way more wattage than needed power supply and 32 GB of RGB RAM) based around looks and not needing to be upgraded later, with other components (like the RX 6600) being obvious targets for future upgrades. If anyone wanted to emulate this build while still going somewhat aesthetically pleasing, I'd go with the black version of the case, no RGB RAM (and also only 16 GB), get a single normal fan for rear exhaust instead of the RGB 3 pack, different power supply, no wifi card (if you don't need it, we did), and just use the stock heat sink for the 5600. With those changes, this would be a killer bang-for-buck build. As it is, I fully accept the higher cost in exchange for better looks and great accessories.$1,223.86 -

I play a wide variety of single player games and like games with nice graphics so they are often demanding. Recent games I played include Horizon Zero Dawn, Plague Tale Requiem, and Witcher 3. I play on a 1440p high refresh rate monitor and the 6900 XT has had no trouble delivering 100+ for basically every game I played. It was a nice upgrade over my RTX 3070 although I do miss some of the Nvidia features like DLSS. The 6900 XT is a lot faster though and has 16 GB of VRAM. It even does pretty well in ray traced games. The 13700k is a really powerful CPU probably even overkill for gaming. However it wasn't much more than the 13600k and is helpful on the rare occasions I do rendering or certain data analytics that can utilize a lot of cores/threads. I also really like the Lian LI 205 mesh case I was able to get open box at Micro Center. The RGB fans are nice and it has great airflow. I also like that its not too large, but still able to fit most GPUs. Most of the other parts are standard although I do wish I waited before getting a 4 TB SSD. Prices are much lower now than they were last year.$1,627.96 -

Main reason I decided to get this PC was because I really wanted to play Escape from Tarkov and stream it as well. Recently I've gotten away from Tarkov and have mostly been learning Squad, which I also stream here and there. So far those are the main games I've played so far but in the future I plan on getting some sim racing gear so I can get into IRacing and Assetto Corsa. Finally, I make music as a hobby and this build handles all my plugins like a champ and can record vocals with virtually no latency (2-3ms) while running autotune. Love this machine!$1,404.92 -

I was skeptical I could get the 6950XT in the 205m without it overheating - however, utilizing the Quiet mode on board bios setting, with max of 284w to GPU… my temps are insanely stable and even cool (for this card). 98% stress test on 3D Mark & max juncture temp of 93 Celsius during this test (80c high cur). During gaming it doesn’t touch this temp. It stays around 60c while gaming on ultra/maxed settings. Idle is 33c. Just a build I wanted to see if I could do & feel great that it’s complete without issues. Have been building Pc's for 20 years - first one I've built for myself in 10.$1,469.92 -

Wanted to try going for desktop-route and built the pc, I usually use it for gaming, including games such as Rainbow Six Siege, Destiny 2, Assetto Corsa, and Minecraft Modpacks. The main purpose of building this pc was to be able to play games and do work at the same time. The main game I play is Fortnite, and since the 6650xt is a decent card, I can get around 250 fps in game on performance mode. In the future, I plan on upgrading my gpu and my case. The gpu I got is not the best for my cpu(12700k), and a 6800xt would have been a better choice. I also decided to budget my case, which was a huge mistake, since the case I got used molex connectors and it was hard to take off the gpu brackets.$986.91 -

Since then, I've upgraded the CPU to a 3600 and the GPU to an RTX 3060 Ti. Much of the reason why I call this the "Overkill" is because I really don't play very demanding games, usually only esports titles with an occasional demanding title like PUBG.$1,021.90 -

Back in 2014, I purchased what would be the underlying bones of my currently updated gaming rig. It started as an i5-4670k 3.4Ghz/ASRock Z87 Extreme3/GeForce GTX 770 system. All those parts have been replaced three times over now, but the case, drives, and PSU have all stayed. In 2017 I swapped out the GTX 770 for a Gigabyte GTX 1080 which I've kept up until now. In 2020, I moved from Intel to AMD, removing the i5 and installing a Ryzen 5 3600X/Gigabyte X570 Aorus Elite, while maintaining the 1080 GPU. With prices falling and new GPUs coming out I waited until this past week when both the Ryzen 7 and the 6950XT were discounted 30% and 36% respectively on Amazon. I was going to go with an AIO cooling solution but wasn't sure my case would accommodate it, so researched and wound up with the Deepcool which just fit inside the 3000. Just fired it up and it's running smoothly so far, even the transition from Nvidia to AMD went without a hitch using DDU software. Since the case is rather plain and offers no view of the interior, I've never gone in for any RGB stuff. The only thing that lights up is the GPU and I didn't select it for that.$1,456.91 -

I put it together to be a gaming PC and maybe use it for CAD work in the future. Everything in the build went very well. And I can't believe how much better my games are now. The temperatures are good and everything seems to run fine. My only hiccup was that the USB-C on the front I/O requires an adapter to connect to this motherboard. Not a huge deal but if I had known, I probably would have spent a bit more money on a fully compatible motherboard. Overall I'm super happy with how everything turned out. I did add a few extra parts not listed. Including the Corsair Commander Core XT, Corsair Lighting Node Pro, Asiahorse Power Cords, a QIVNSRY M.2 heatsink, and the internal header adapter for the USB-C.$1,547.91 -

My 11 year old son has a passion for computers and always asked if he could build his own PC. He went on YouTube and did all the research on AMD/Intel, which Motherboard and graphics card he should get. Also he had a budget for his birthday money from parents and grandparents, so he was very cautious to not go over that. We finally got all the parts and since he had already done his research he was able to assemble with very little help from me to get all setup.$747.87
