I got into sim racing last summer playing ACC very casually on my GF's pc. As I got more into the hobby I wanted to upgrade to a triple monitor setup. This meant upgrading the PC as well and getting a monitor stand. I decided to go all in and spring for a 4090 and 7800X3D, and took advantage of microcenters bundle deal with the cpu/ram/mobo. Shortly after getting the monitor stand. I end up getting a cockpit as well. I regret purchasing the monitor stand and cockpit separately. I should have just gotten the TK P1 Pro bundle, i would have gotten an upgraded cockpit along with the keyboard tray and mouse pad for the same price . Im still very happy with my current setup. Gonna hold off on any more upgrades for the time being, even though I am a bit tempted to upgrade my wheelbase/wheel lol. Thanks to my local Microcenter for providing great customer service and having a wide selection of sim racing gear.$3,591.93 -

I built this PC in the midst of the GPU Shortage, with parts salvaged from a prebuilt gaming machine. There are no original parts left in the case at this point, but it all started with migrating the build from the original case to the Lian Li Lancool II for improved airflow. I'll also say that case-swapping a prebuilt is more work than building from scratch. From there, over the next two years, I would go on to upgrade the power supply, RAM, GPU, AIO cooler, and added Lian Li RGB Strimer cables for extra FPS! Just two days ago, I swapped the original motherboard and CPU for one of microcenters AMD bundles and now this thing is in its penultimate form. I plan to get rid of all of the RGB and put this born-again-and-again beast into a Fractal North XL case, as much like this PC has matured over the last few years, so have my tastes...even if it means I'll lose some FPS due to lack of RGB.$3,192.90 -

I play FPS games like CSGO and Warzone alongside RPG games like Far Cry, Witcher, and others. In the future, I plan to upgrade my GPU to a 3070 or even 3080 if the opportunity presents itself. That's probably the thing I would've done differently in hindsight. I had an opportunity to buy a 3070 at Microcenter and I passed it up because I thought I didn't need the upgrade but now I wish I hadn't. The PC handles everything I throw at it but just the idea of higher framerate without any worries about the video settings is appealing. I also realize that its about time I cleaned this PC out cause it's looking mighty dusty while taking these pictures.$1,725.93 -

When i was designing the build, primarily i was focused on getting the 7800x3d bundle deal since the 7800x3d is universally the king of gaming since it draws lower power and is SUPER efficent. Primarily i use it for gaming for lower end titles like minecraft and raft but i also play more demanding titles like 7 days to die, rust, bf 2042, etc. Currently i have the ak500 in the build but due to the build height, im opting to go for a 360mm rad simply because i was going to get more case fans but i also dont want to cause long term damage to the cpu or the glass.$1,589.92 -

After having bought a 1440p monitor, I was still using a laptop with a 1660ti GPU that was unable to fully utilize this monitor's gaming capability. I wanted a PC that was powerful and in line with the current generation of hardware because I wanted it to last me a long time, and to be capable of working with me no matter what my next ambition is. While initially building this PC, I had an EVGA AIO cooler ready to use for the CPU, however, the case I was using couldn't fit the radiator anywhere. So I ended up trading in that cooler for a DeepCool AK620 at microcenter, and since then it works perfectly. However, just several weeks later I replaced the case as well since the old one did not provide enough airflow and temps were still relatively high. If I had known beforehand that I would get a case that would better fit an AIO cooler, I wish I would've kept it.$1,510.78
