Originally, wanted to build my dream PC, an ITX build that can fit in my backpack but could run Minecraft with shaders at a high framerate. After completing the build, I found myself gaming less and focusing more on College. Funnily enough, I decided to take a class on Geospatial Informational Systems. This requires us to run a program called ArcGIS. ArcGIS doesn't look like much, but its recommended requirements are: 8-Core CPU, 32GB of ram, a GPU with 6-8GB of Vram. You'd think a program that just draws maps wouldn't need a beefy GPU, but that was wrong lol.$1,874.94 -

After having bought a 1440p monitor, I was still using a laptop with a 1660ti GPU that was unable to fully utilize this monitor's gaming capability. I wanted a PC that was powerful and in line with the current generation of hardware because I wanted it to last me a long time, and to be capable of working with me no matter what my next ambition is. While initially building this PC, I had an EVGA AIO cooler ready to use for the CPU, however, the case I was using couldn't fit the radiator anywhere. So I ended up trading in that cooler for a DeepCool AK620 at microcenter, and since then it works perfectly. However, just several weeks later I replaced the case as well since the old one did not provide enough airflow and temps were still relatively high. If I had known beforehand that I would get a case that would better fit an AIO cooler, I wish I would've kept it.$1,510.78 -

Using OBS and Nvenc to record gameplay and share clips with friends. Mainly play FPS titles like Doom Eternal, Back 4 Blood, and Halo. The RAM and SSDs really come in handy for video editing with large files. The GPU is great for gaming and recording. The CPU is still holding up great too.$2,599.92 -

This was built primarily with the intention of gaming, as well as to get the full desktop PC experience I've been sorely missing. Of late, it's been far too much scrunching over the laptop that a high- performing 'entertainment' PC was in order. In addition to solo campaign RPGs, mmoRPGs, first-person shooters and battle royales both new and old (GW2, LoL, I'm looking at you), I've been particularly into exploration and survival games like the Flame in the Flood, Don't Starve, It Takes Two and the like. In addition to the gaming function, this PC was also meant to serve as a sort of versatile, multi-talented HTPC power workstation.$3,165.90 -

I built this because I was stuck with a pretty bad prebuilt PC that was supposed to be just a general-purpose/desktop PC but I added a GTX 1050ti into it in order to play games at decent performance. But games still ran pretty slow and my computer would stutter with too many chrome tabs or chrome and a game open. I finally built this with money saved up in order to have a computer that wouldn't lag, freeze, or give me a hard time in general. It runs practically every shooter (TF2, Fortnite, Valorant, etc.), Ark, GTA V, and other games very well. Newer games like Elden Ring and some other titles require the graphics settings to be lower, but this is because I'm bottlenecked by my 1050ti, as I was unable to get a new graphics card because of the sky-high prices.$1,050.14 -
