I wanted a PC that could play FF14, Naraka bladepoint, overwatch 2, and black desert online on at least 60fps. I built this rig with a dual purpose in mind: high-performance gaming and efficient content creation. I wanted a system that could handle the latest AAA titles like Elden Ring, and Call of Duty: Warzone, and Black Myth Wukong without any issues. I’m also interested in making more content. Specifically, working with video editing in Adobe Premiere Pro and 3D rendering in Blender. So essentially a build that's versatile enough to handle both gaming and demanding creative workflows.$1,894.90 -

I built it to get back to gaming after more than 20 years (back in my college days). Its my first build ever as well. I bought 2 bundles from Microcenter - CPU+memory+motherboard and then ASUS Prime case + motherboard + psu bundle. I sold the motherboard from the CPU bundle (since it was regular size ATX board). The build posed some minor challenges which i loved. The Asus Prime case did not allow fitting the Arctic 280 cooler so i had to change one of the fans to a slim profile fan (as you can see in the pic). The HD drive was not easy to mount either. I am not much of a gamer though - but I play Far Cry 6, Metro: Last Light, Counter Strike, GTA V.$1,473.89 -

We researched parts for 2 months and built everything over Memorial day weekend. We took advantage of Microcenter's great prices (and price matching) for half of the items. The goal is that this will be a computer that will last him through high school. He's interested in gaming and programming. We made sure that there are options for him to expand in the future (dedicated GPU, more memory, etc). It was a great experience to learn how all the parts of a computer come together!$817.79 -

I've wanted to build a gaming PC since last August, and now I've done it. It's much better than I first planned. The primary reason for this PC is for gaming, so deciding which GPU to get is important. It's the first part I brought. I bought this as a prebuilt but then started gradually upgrading components. Never again will I buy a prebuilt, I have so many issues from the mobo not having screws to the microATX case looking awful in the case I got. I replaced the WD Blue 1tb that came stock with a WD Black SN770, I replaces the MSI case with the Lian LI 011 Dynamic Evo XL, and upgraded to 32 gb of ram. I plan to do more upgrades in the future, replacing the PSU first so I have plenty of headroom. Introducing my latest creation, a build that combines power, efficiency, and aesthetics to cater to both my professional and... Introducing my latest creation, a build that combines power, efficiency, and aesthetics to cater to both my professional and personal computing needs. At the heart of this machine is the mighty Ryzen 9 5900X 12-core CPU, coupled with NVIDIA RTX A4000 workstation GPU, 64GB of 3200MHz RAM, all nestled mostly* inside the sleek and compact Fractal Terra Mini case. Why I Built It: As a manufacturing engineer, I work extensively with software and require a system that can effortlessly manage complex modeling in SolidWorks and render Unreal Engine graphics. Simultaneously, as a lifelong gaming enthusiast, I wanted a rig capable of delivering unparalleled gaming experiences. From my daily work routines to unwinding with the latest AAA titles, this build fits the bill. This rig has transformed my workflow, enabling faster render times, smoother gaming experiences, and overall improved efficiency. Professional Work: In my profession, time and precision are of the essence. Whether it's modeling intricate designs in SolidWorks or handling software integral to manufacturing engineering, the synergy of Ryzen 9 and NVIDIA RTX A4000 makes my work more efficient and enjoyable. Gaming: As a gamer, I wanted a system that can conquer the latest AAA titles and provide immersive gameplay. With the powerful combination of Ryzen 9 and NVIDIA RTX A4000, I've been playing games like Cyberpunk 2077, Elden Ring, and NFS Heat at ultra-high settings without breaking a sweat. Modeling and Graphics: For my professional pursuits, this build shines in applications like SolidWorks, where precision and performance are paramount. Unreal Engine graphics projects come to life like never before, rendering in real-time and allowing me to explore my creativity in new dimensions. Future Upgrades & Hindsight: In the future, I might explore adding expanded storage capacity to accommodate larger projects. Overall, I am ecstatic with the result. Conclusion: This build is more than just a computer; it's a reflection of my professional life as a manufacturing engineer and my love for gaming and technology. It's a hub for creativity, relaxation, and connection, playing a central role in my daily life. I welcome fellow engineers, gamers, and enthusiasts to share their thoughts, insights, or simply join in the conversation. Let's connect and continue to innovate!$2,174.91 -

After building my first rig, I was headfirst into the world of PC building. I didn't know my next gaming computer was going to be a space heater though. This build I went for the all white with silver finish aesthetic, and it came out better than I expected. Although it was a bit nerve wracking to troubleshoot the overheating cpu, it was a really enjoyable experience. I use the computer mainly for gaming, I enjoy playing hyper realistic simulation games like Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020, Forza Horizon 5, and PC building simulator 2 (yes when I said I went headfirst into PC building I meant it), and some other games that this computer is too powerful for. One upgrade I definitely need to consider is getting more storage, because nowadays games somehow manage to take up half an ssd.$2,239.59 -

For Christmas this year I was given the task to build a pc for my cousin in a black theme. He only plays video games and won't need the pc for anything else and having a $1k budget I decided to go with the ryzen 5 3600 combo from micro center with the free gigabyte b450 motherboard. The cpu cooler is an Uphere cooler from Amazon. I paired it with 16gb of corsair vengance @3200mhz. 1tb Inland nvme m.2. For psu I initially bought the corsair 650 but had a fan sound so I return it and no more in stock so I picked up a powerspec 650w 80+ bronce semi moduler. The case is a Lian Li air mini in black. I added 6 uphere rgb fans from Amazon. For the gpu in order to get the most out of the budget I decided to buy used and get a gigabyte rtx 2070. I also added some black psu extension cables.$859.96 -

This is a really basic build that I did simply to get my "foot in the door" with a functioning pc that can quickly run applications common to students as well as occasional photo-editing. In the future I will want to buy a case with a dedicated metal shroud (or "basement") that contains the power supply. I don't feel like it's fully secure when I move the system around.$519.94 -

I built this computer to show others that you don't need the fanciest gear or hardware to play PC games or stream. It uses a modern CPU, a solid video card, and has a great upgrade path in the future. Elden Ring and Cyberpunk work great on it. It looks awesome and runs cool, too!$731.93 -
