Bought and built this to primarily play games and to finally have a machine that can handle all current gen title games at 1080p. Games like Apex Legends and Halo Infinite all hold a framerate well above 144hz at the highest graphic settings with no problems as well as keeping cool. This computer also allowed me to be able to record my gameplay in high quality using OBS thanks to NVIDIA'S nvenc encoder in part to the 3060 RTX. Video editing programs such as adobe premiere also run well to edit footage together to create youtube compilations of the many games I play. Eventually upgraded the storage on the computer with SSD drives which was easy due to the microATX motherboard being in a ATX size case for ease of building as well as the case having drivebays on the back panel of the computer.$1,137.92 -

I began with the stock Intel 12th gen cooler but decided I needed something better looking so I upgraded to the ID-Cooling AIO because it matched my aesthetic. Runs all of the games I have at 1080p high settings. I play Seige, Ark, Rocket League and some smaller games like Phasmophobia and War Thunder as of right now. I also used the Tecware Phantom 87 keyboard chassis to make a completely custom keyboard. I tape modded, bought Akko Radiant Red switches, lubed them with Gliging 205 GO, and bought YMDK PBT Keycaps to match the grey theme I had going. Mic is an old Turtle Beach Stealth 400 I got when the PS4 first came out and has worked like a dream since then. Also using a Logitech g502 as my mouse.$943.94 -

The original idea for this pc was to keep at school with me in a smaller form factor than my first pc. With this I would then have a pc at home I could use for much lighter use for the rare occurrences I was home for a weekend. However, this pc went through many, many iterations. It took me building it about 5 times to finally be settled with the parts and the look of the pc. It started with the Lian Li LANCOOL 205M because of its small form - until I saw the 011D Mini in store. From there I wasn't gonna be happy until that was my case. Because of this the build ended up getting much more expensive than I anticipated, but with falling component prices, I believe it was worth it. This PC handles my day-to-day college workload, which primarily consists of software development and some networking. When I have free time I'm an enthusiast gamer and sometimes streamer. I insist on being able to play the newest titles at beautiful graphics settings which is what drove the choice to go for the 3080 - as I believe it's the best high-end bang for the buck card. Right now I've been playing a lot of Battlefront II and I've also been revisiting Cyberpunk 2077 with my new card. I'm extremely happy with this PC however I do have a few upgrades planned for the future. The first being swapping the AIO out for a White NZXT Kraken x63 because I like how the 280mm rad fills out the side intake. Lower priority things include more case fans and MAYBE swapping out the mobo at some point in the future.$2,189.94 -

A complete beast of a PC that I have spent 1.3k on- The Pros: - Runs fast and has DLSS 2.0 Compatibility - Quiet, barely makes a sound - Has easily swapable parts that help with upgrades and the like. The Cons: - Silicon is Expensive :D - No Heatsink on I/O for MoBo, and only one heatsink for 2nd NVME Slot (No surprise there) - Will have to upgrade in 5 years or so What is it used for? - Content Creation, more specifically 1080p Video Editing and the like - Gaming, and lots of it thanks to the graphics it can pull off - Just messing around and whatever I need it to do. The Core i5 pulls it's weight by the ton, I've never used something this fast before. Advice- I actually got my Monitor from Costco, it's only 199.99 and runs like a dream. Also, be careful with the case screws, if you don't get them right the first time putting in your GPU will be a nightmare. Also, for GPUs, if you intend on getting an EVGA brand one look for their B-stock, it often eliminates anywhere from 30-100 dollars off their cards ;) Overall, happy with my first build and would 10/10 Recommend$1,041.91 -
