I wanted to go current gen AMD, but was not sure about stability with 4 sticks DDR5 and Ryzen7000. I've heard it is doable but only at speeds below 4400 MT/s. I ended up with tried-and-true 5950x and DDR4 cranked up to 3200 MT/s. Went with matte black, no-RGB and no sleeved cables.$1,858.91 -

PSU is over 8 years old and still going. Currently upgrading CPU to Ryzen 7 5700 X3D from Ryzen 5 3600X to keep AM4 build going. For the future would like to upgrade all older Hard Disks and SSD's to M.2 drives but don't currently have enough slots. Might have to upgrade PSU at some point. Hopefully I can get 1 more GPU upgrade in here before having to get a new cpu. Hopefully good for another 5 years? Use my PC for light gaming and photoshop work. Also use for coding projects.$1,727.66 -

Purchased this for a relative who was looking for a budget PC to be able to play games on their 1080p monitor. Strictly on a budget of $600 and while building with all new parts would have went over their budget, I was able to help them find something used from a friend who was upgrading their setup and selling their old desktop PC. AMD Ryzen 5 5600x CPU- Purchased at Microcenter with a special sale price of $129.99 using their credit card for an additional 5% off. Probably the best price to performance deal I’ve ever seen on a 6 core 12 thread CPU. Asus B550-F - Quality budget B550 board purchased at Microcenter with $20 bundle saving with the CPU and 5% off using their credit card. Has 4 RAM slots and both 5v ARGB and 12V RGB headers. XPG RGB 16gb DDR4 3600mhz - Purchased at Amazon with 3% off using the Amazon credit card. Solid speed for Ryzen 5600x and has RGB! Gigabyte 1tb SSD - Purchased at Amazon as well with 3% off using credit card. Can’t go wrong with any NVME drive honestly. Asus Strix Radeon 570 4gb - Purchased used on eBay. In my opinion, the RX 570 is still the budget king for 1080p gaming. NZXT S340 White - Standard mid-sized ATX case purchased on a long time ago and was used in a previous build, reusing it in this build. This has become my favorite budget case for “clean” builds. For $50 (I originally picked it up years ago) it has tempered glass and looks great. PowerSpec 650w Bronze - Power supply I had from my previous build. It doesn’t have black cables, but since I had sleeved cable extensions it didn’t matter. I assumed a price since I already had it laying around. Gigabyte Aorus ATC800 CPU Cooler - This thing is massive! I really liked the RGB look on this CPU Cooler and filled out the space nicely in this case. Previously had a Corsair H100i which ended up failing, so I wanted to try something different with using a large air CPU cooler. This turned out to be one of my favorite builds so far. I like the theme and it looks super clean!$589.97 -

We rearranged out living room and now have all of our electronics in a minimalist tv stand. As a result, the odd man out was the bulky full tower desktop pc I had been using hooked up to the living room oled tv. But, to view the glass as half full, this rearrangement meant I got to do something I've always wanted to try. Namely, to build a complete pc in the same size as a gaming console. Performance wise, there were no real corners cut because I chose a case that accommodated a relatively large graphics card (EVGA RTX 3070). Temperatures aren't much of a problem because the kinds of games this system plays is pretty casual, such as my kid's current playthrough of the Spyro Reignited Trilogy.$1,096.90 -

My objective was to build a rig on the premise of cost efficiency vs. having the right hardware to get the job done. The problem was temptation. Man that 4090 comes to mind! I did choose to go the AM4 platform's route though. It is a solid choice in my view because it is AMD's best product vs. price to date. Performance turned out to be really good as well. Although it is an older platform I'm still playing games like God of War, Cyberpunk, Doom Eternal, Horizon, and Call of Duty III at more than satisfactory levels. The graphics are still eye-catching and that 6800 XT is a beast and was a great choice for this build! Temperatures are great when gaming as well. I did stress test it with Cinebench R23 and AIDA64 and those results did not even approach borderline.$2,028.62 -

I really don't do anything crazy when it comes to games anymore, I think the most intensive game I play is still Forza Horizon 5. So with that all in mind, I decided on all of these parts for a smooth 1440p experience. I still debate if I want to make an upgrade to a 5800x3d, but I'm not sure it will be worth it knowing I won't be upgrading anything else in this pc. I have moved a lot of PC parts and upgraded but this is the final upgrade. This gaming PC can tackle any 1440p game with no issues and can also compute anything for my work needs. The 5800x3d is the best CPU from AM4 to keep all my frames steady and the 3080 pushes those frames. I know I couldve gotten 'better' components but for the budget, these 2 were the best I can get comfortably without feeling guilty. The PC has no rgb but that's what I like. I wanted to keep it all black (GPU has a little bit of RGB but it's very subtle which is fine). Furthermore, routing the cables in the PC was a breeze due to the SF750's cables being sleeved so bending it was no issue at all.$1,689.95 -

I started this as my first ever build. i wanted something better than the Xbox. I really thought I was going to build something "cheap and simple" and I went a little overboard! I love it though. I bought everything through Micro Center and will upgrade my monitor and chair next. I am totally loving this "new to me" hobby.$2,656.85 -

This is meant to be a family oriented pc for mainly me and my brothers to do school work. But we also wanted to build a pc for gaming so that we would not have to buy a console and this pc has been amazing in games like Fortnite and Call of Duty with the performance.$1,025.92 -

I like playing FPS games like Valorant, but I also like to play strategy games like Civilization or RTS. This is a budget build, and I am hoping to upgrade my CPU and GPU at some point. Currently I play on a 1080p monitor so its FPS is still decent for most games.$977.95
