With AMD's announcement of Zen 4 with incredibly fast single core, insane IPC increases, and clockspeeds through the roof, I knew I had to have it. My wife and I drove 10 hours to our closest Micro Center (Denver) so we could be there for the Zen 4 launch, and it was so worth it! . I built this PC for gaming, software development, video editing, HiFi audio playback, overclocking, and benchmarking. I mostly play heavily modded Skyrim, No Man's Sky, Forza Horizon 5, and Minecraft, though I also plan on getting back into Fallout 4 in the near future. I'm a software engineer, but I also enjoy writing code in my free time. I also build and sell PCs locally as a hobby/side hustle, which helps to fund my personal systems. Here's the linktree for my PC business: https://linktr.ee/km.pcs . I'll wait until both Nvidia and AMD have released their next-gen GPUs before deciding whether I should upgrade. I want to see reviews with real numbers, especially after Nvidia's laughable 40-series announcement which didn't show raw rasterization (non-DLSS) numbers. AMD's next gen of graphics also looks very promising, so I'll want to see how they'll compare against Nvidia's 40-series before making a decision.$3,869.96 -

I Bit the bullet and bought a prebuilt on a whim. At the time the RTX 3070 it came with was almost worth what I paid for the whole system. After having every generation of console I'd never go back after PC gaming. I mostly built it for Warzone and FPS games although it's a general purpose rig.$4,758.96 -

I want to play more visually pleasing games like God of War and such. My old pc could barely run Apex without it crashing! So it was time for an upgrade. I love the theme and the colors of my new pc. I do not plan on upgrading anytime soon until i can run games anymore haha. This is my first time messing with so many rgb fans and there were a lot of wires, but I did it. This was also my first time water cooling my cpu so that was an experience as well. Overall, I am so happy of how my computer turned out and I hope you guys do too!$1,866.92 -

I had been using my old PC for the previous five years when I realized it was time to replace. I couldn't wait and chose to go with this build; first, I hesitated to use water cooling but decided against it since I didn't want to deal with the maintenance procedure over the long run. I've installed over 9 fans, and it runs without a hitch (I'm partially deaf, lol). Although the 3080 ti was overkill for the price, it has been performing fantastically and can pretty much handle any game without breaking a sweat. Storage-wise, this build's weakest area, I'm hoping to make additional room for 2TB because I was incredibly pressed for time. Overall, this gaming setup was obviously overkill, but I don't regret it. After using my five-year-old budget-built computer, I've been doing research on what parts I feel are worthwhile acquiring and what's good for my long-term use, assuming that I do everything on a daily basis. I multitask while gaming, streaming, and editing videos on my computer. If I had to sum up this entire construct in one sentence, I would say that it was worthwhile and I have no regrets at all.$1,982.94 -

This build has an AMD Ryzen 9 5950X processor, cooled by a Corsair 360mm AIO. With 64 GB of DDR4-3600 RAM, and an NVIDIA RTX 3080 Ti, all housed in a Fractal Design Meshify 2 XL. This build can do everything you throw at it with ease. Gaming - How does Cyberpunk 2077 with settings maxed out and still keeping at least 60 fps sound? Editing - exports 4K video in merely minutes. Now, I don't stream that often, but with 16 cores and 32 threads, when I do, I do it in style.$2,339.94 -
