Ended up winning a reddit giveaway for a 4090 that I wouldn't be able to fit in my current build. After struggling to sell the 4090 on eBay, I decided to just build a whole new rig to accomodate it. Don't worry, my 5600G build went to my dad so he'd have a proper office PC, and I'm hanging onto my 6700XT in case the 4090 ever decides to off itself (*knock on wood*). I didn't choose the Evangelion theme... the Evangelion theme chose me.$1,492.92 -

This is my gaming battle station and my happiness when I come home also I have a AIO in my setup I love the aesthetic of that.it’s weird and dirty and it makes the build stand out because it’s not often you see a cpu and gpu AIO combo I spent hours setting up this bad boy down to the last screw.also I find myself getting very lost and distracted in my pc beauty and the amazing RGB effects and my 2 screens that keep me entertained with cool gifs and System information.hope I can share my experience with you amazing pc builders out there.$4,459.91 -

This is a high end 4090 gaming build that is technically a "Budget 4090 Build" where I use some open box items and used components to save money. I am upgrading from a PC that is 9 years old and wanted to build a new one that will last me another 9 years. This is a gaming rig that can handle almost anything even though I mostly use it for productivity. Still in the process, but I will get back into streaming content online soon playing random games and drawing while hoping to do some game production. My goal is to fully utilize this PC with my 4K monitors. Besides that, it looks cool to look at! What a wonderful journey and it all started from buying the Microcenter Bundle!$4,090.69 -

I built this PC in the midst of the GPU Shortage, with parts salvaged from a prebuilt gaming machine. There are no original parts left in the case at this point, but it all started with migrating the build from the original case to the Lian Li Lancool II for improved airflow. I'll also say that case-swapping a prebuilt is more work than building from scratch. From there, over the next two years, I would go on to upgrade the power supply, RAM, GPU, AIO cooler, and added Lian Li RGB Strimer cables for extra FPS! Just two days ago, I swapped the original motherboard and CPU for one of microcenters AMD bundles and now this thing is in its penultimate form. I plan to get rid of all of the RGB and put this born-again-and-again beast into a Fractal North XL case, as much like this PC has matured over the last few years, so have my tastes...even if it means I'll lose some FPS due to lack of RGB.$3,192.90 -

First build ever using it for gaming and some SolidWorks when I need to work from home. Going to change case to something a little more tasteful and get cablemod stealth wire and extensions and just extra frill to make it look way better. The case is GREAT at keeping the components bathed in cool air, but it's just not the greatest looking case. Thinking about hardline water-cooling for the CPU and GPU that way I can keep the 7900X and 4090 cool and make the build look way cooler (If I do it right that is...) I didn't leave the NVME in that slot. I did test with it in that Gen5 slot vs the other M2 slot with the 4 lanes direct to the CPU (so not making the GPU run in 8x PCIE lanes). There was zero performance difference (actually it gets slightly faster 3dmark scores with the PCIE gen 5 M2 slot occupied (within margin of error though). Also.. not sure where the AsRock Nova Wifi went on their website (it's still there if you search, but not on the list of MBs). It is an awesome board so far, both in performance and looks.$5,825.81 -

The only parts reused from my last build are the Sabrent Rocket 2TB PCIe 4.0 M.2 SSD and the Thermaltake Core P5 case. My previous build was water-cooled, but I am returning to air-cooled for this build. Water-cooling adds weight and the drain and refill maintenance cycle is taxing. My old temps were in the 40°C range under load with occasional peaks up to 50°C. This system runs at 60°C under load with peaks up to 70°C. I view this as sort of a "sleeper." Not a lot of RGB or fluff, but with an AMD 7800X3D CPU and Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4090 GPU, it runs everything as well as can be run .. today. My last build lasted four years before it couldn't run the latest games fluidly. I'm hoping for around that with this one. Check back in four years. The case is a Hyte Y40; Hyte collabs with Hololive limited edition case. It came with a bunch of accessories. The case itself, it's OK. Doesn't have a lot of space in the back, so I just gave up on cable management and shoved everything underneath as much as I could. Y40 is a high quality case but over price. They should reduce the price and sell riser cable separately. Vertical GPU looks nice but it is too close to the panel. I'll install it horizontal later. PSU is a bit overpowered. I have Corsair SP120 fans on my last build. I didn't know how loud they were until I got these Lian Li fans.$3,234.92 -

After graduating from school and getting a real job, I knew I needed to get the best gaming setup I could buy to reward myself. I haven't paid too much attention to the PC market since my senior year in high school. The last time I built a PC, I went with a Ryzen 5 3600 and GTX 1080 setup, so you know how out of touch I am now. But I know 4090 GPU is a must for my build. I build this system so I could stream and game at the same time, rather than run two pc's at once. I usually stream a selection of games and whatever is currently popular I will make content on. I upgraded to a msi suprim liquid x 4090 and i9 13900k. The pc is rocking a msi edge wifi z690 mobo , 32 gigs ddr4 corsair vengeance pro ram , msi 1000 watt psu, artic freezer II 420 mm rgb aio and 2 sets of lian li fans. When I got the 420 mm aio I didn't account for the thickness and how big it is. So as you can tell the case had to be cut and modified a little, since I spent all of my budget on the cpu , aio and gpu. Overall it looks amazing, this pc has come a long way! The main purpose of building this pc was to be able to play games and do work at the same time. The main game I play is Fortnite, and since the 6650xt is a decent card, I can get around 250 fps in game on performance mode. In the future, I plan on upgrading my gpu and my case. The gpu I got is not the best for my cpu(12700k), and a 6800xt would have been a better choice. I do programming during the day and then... also during the day... some gaming on the side. Right now I'm playing Persona 5 Royal through the Game Pass service. Games like that don't really require a gpu any fancier than my 6650 XT. The last time I built a desktop pc a few years ago, all the popular with cases were all about tembered glass + rgb. Now, it looks like the popular direction in which cases are going is to feature mesh intake. It makes sense that mesh would be better for airflow, so I decided to join onboard this bandwagon.$1,226.91 -

I built it for vr - heavily modded skyrim vr specifically, but also vr chat. And also for ai - open source llms and stable diffusion. For things i would have done different, I didnt have the money for a really really good cpu at the time and i opted for a ddr4 board to save money - the 12700k is great but turns out its the limiting factor in my skyrim vr modlist (~500 mods). Overclocking the cpu and ram and tightening timings on the ram helped a lot but it still kind of chokes sometimes. I may upgrade to a 13900ks or a 7800x3d, and add a custom loop. Also i wish i got a asus 4090. The zotac doesnt give you the full 130% power limit and i dont want to flash a different vbios.$3,172.91 -

Built this rig to play my many games at high frame rates while maintaining stellar graphics. I aimed for the 2K resolution as it was the best of both worlds in terms of high refresh rate and still having good-looking graphics. Mainly though, I play games like Battlefield, Call of Duty, Overwatch 2, Wreckfest, Cyberpunk 2077, and many more. For MP games I tend to keep RTX off for the added bump in frames, but for any coop/SP games, I crank everything to 11 and enjoy the beauty. The LG OLED monitor was a perfect choice for me as it provided the refresh rate I wanted while having an incredibly stunning color range and depth of black. Pair that with the 13700K and RTX 4090, and the games not only play super smooth but look incredible while doing so. All this sit on top of the Secretlab Magnus metal desk as I needed something right around this length while having prime cable management and this checked off all the boxes I needed while looking sleek. All in all, everything worked out right the first time, and luckily I planned everything out well enough to where I did not need to reconsider choices. One thing I will change/add in the future is adding my LG 34" UW back into the mix and probably put that on top, just for some extra real estate.$5,869.79 -

This is my first time dealing with a water cooled gpu and overlooked the case so you will have to have the vertical mount from Lian Li if you plan to run this gpu in the o11d evo case if you don't want the glass pushing against the tubes. The glass panel will shut but I don't like putting stress on the tubes. The pc will easily play Cyberpunk (without rtx overdrive), hogwarts legacy, and Horizon 5 at 100+ fps on max settings with Ray tracing on a 3440x1440p monitor. The GPU overclocks pretty easily and scored very high on 3d mark port royal. I have added a picture of the best overclock setup I could figure out so far but I am still pretty new to overclocking.(just watch JayzTwoCents' review of the card as he is way better than me at that) The case is very easy to cable manage and has a removable hdd bay that sits right above the power supply. However, if you plan on using the hdd bay I would not recommend the Corsair shift power supplies as it gives you very little room to access the cables. The vertical gpu mount does take a couple weeks to arrive from amazon so if you want the build completed all at once I would order that in advance. Once the gpu mount arrives I plan on getting the final 3 intake fans installed and will then be completed.$4,254.87 -

Why i built it? i was merely a conduit on this earthly plane, mine were the hands that built it, but the person from who’s mind it was birthed i am not. it’s creation was inevitable. built to rule over all and provide unlimited frames to those worthy of perceiving such power shining down from the Wall.$4,109.97 -

I built this computer to replace my 5 year old gaming rig to celebrate by 50th birthday. I use it mostly for gaming and daily networking, but I do use some software that takes full use of the 128GBs of RAM. I purchased a power supply and case designed around future expansion, but I have no plans to upgrade anything at this time.$6,375.69 -

I built this to set the foundation to jump to 4k without sacrificing frames. I've been chasing the 120+fps at 1440p in most titles and previously didn't see 4k as a worthy trade off for visuals with the loss of frames. This setup allows for a truly compromise free experience in virtually all titles.$3,525.48 -

I stream Halo infinite, CoD, Apex, OW, FF15/11/7, runescape. All I need now is to get a proper keyboard, and upgrade my monitor to the newer 2160p Neo G9. This is the completed build. Paul & Austin in Deluth help me determine what I needed for what I wanted. Because it was my first custom loop I chose to do soft tubing...It would look better aesthetically had I done hard tubing. I also now regret getting the 4090. It's a monster of itself but it doesn't support DP 2.1 which limits video bandwidth. I did upload this build to PC parts picker to see most of the stuff in this build. https://pcpartpicker.com/b/myxcCJ$7,687.27 -

I never really liked showing my end result as I just love the build. I tend to become totally enthralled in making a PC work. so after 3 back to back deployments (and some money in the bank) I decided to pull the trigger and do a new rig build. I am not going to lie to you this build took away from gym time but was well worth it. I built my first PC when I was 14. That would be 1996. A Pentium 286 and it was awesome lol. fast forward to now and components are readily available and there is a monopoly now. Don't get me wrong I still think everything is pretty overpriced but compared to paying $300 for 8mb of "gold tip" RAM its kind of status quo.$6,208.82 -

It was there I first noticed the "Extreme gaming Rig" giveaways. Despite my best efforts at winning what I thought was the pinnacle gaming experience. I was never able to win one for myself. Years went by and I started building budget systems. They got the job done but I was always anxious to jump into the next project. One day while I was planning out my next build and I saw this ridiculously over the top PC build on youtube. The type with an absurd amount of fans, RGB lighting, and a PSU large enough to power a small city. It brought me back to the lazy days when I was browsing through gaming magazines, signing up for anything with a free entry. I decided I had waited long enough; rearranged my budget and went to work. If I couldn't win that gaming PC I was going to build it. Chungus Ultra was born. At it's core it's a Gaming PC, but I use it's extra power to stand up VMs, RDP for my Apple stuff, and to send/receive phone calls. (I get Imessages on Windows through bluebubble server/app) and to a lesser extent control my Hue smart lighting. The system initially had an RTX 3080, and I recently upgraded to a 4090 Strix OC. I pulled out the old Corsair lighting and replace it with Lian Li Unifans (Corsair RGB cable management is a NIGHTMARE), and I'm looking to replace my DDR5 memory kit. I will be throwing in a 1200w ATX 3.0 PSU once it arrives (yay cable management!). In one of my pics the fans are reversed. I'm aware, I was testing something and they have been fixed.$7,209.52 -
