This was all new parts bought from MicroCenter with the exception of the GPU - bought second hand from Facebook Marketplace for $270. The 12400 is a GREAT CPU, and I think I won the silicon lottery since it got over 12,000 on Cinebench. The 3060ti is perfect for my 1440 gaming, and paired with 16GB of 3600mhz RAM at CL16, it is buttery smooth.$936.94 -

One is a reliable system with decent performance I can use to do coursework and participate in online classes. The second "need" is, well.. gaming! The 6600 is meeting my gaming needs okay for the moment because I am playing games like Doom Eternal at 1080p resolution.$985.92 -

Bought and built this to primarily play games and to finally have a machine that can handle all current gen title games at 1080p. Games like Apex Legends and Halo Infinite all hold a framerate well above 144hz at the highest graphic settings with no problems as well as keeping cool. This computer also allowed me to be able to record my gameplay in high quality using OBS thanks to NVIDIA'S nvenc encoder in part to the 3060 RTX. Video editing programs such as adobe premiere also run well to edit footage together to create youtube compilations of the many games I play. Eventually upgraded the storage on the computer with SSD drives which was easy due to the microATX motherboard being in a ATX size case for ease of building as well as the case having drivebays on the back panel of the computer.$1,137.92 -

Went with 1440p for productivity but I'm not sad about the resolution for gaming! Next upgrades will be subtle - larger fans for quieter operation and a bit of bling (thinking Aer 140 RGB). The H510 Flow was a pleasure to build in, even as a newbie. Easy cable management and classy good looks.$1,436.87 -

They have a shared desk space, and a limited area. I also love small form factor, and doing new things in the space. So I used my favorite PC case (FormD T1) and put not one, but two fuly functional PCs in it. One is a Ryzen APU PC, and the other is a low TDP intel CPU paired with an Nvidia GPU (I covered the big three chip makers in one box!). Single slot GPU was essential, so a professional card was about the only option. (1070 Katana's are incredibly rare).$1,611.94 -

My last build was lga 1155 i7-2700K. Back then I was still single and have money to spend lol. Now after moving here to the US I decided to build a entry to mid 1080p all around PC for my family ang get my son into PC building and gaming. What I love of todays build is you don't need a disk drive anymore! I still remember buying a 60Gb 2.5 SSD for my booth drive and 1 Tb HDD for my file storage. NVME SSD's are God sent it makes the build look more clean! Looking forward to building my personal gaming PC once I get settled here and save up.$1,714.93 -
