I built this as a new personal PC build since I sold my old personal build recently. I use it to play games like Minecraft, Genshin, League, Valorant, etc., and use it for CAD projects. If I were to do things differently I would've gotten the white version of the graphics card but nonetheless the PC has satisfied my expectations. I also only paid around $500 for the system which satisfies my budget expectations.$514.99 -

My daughter wanted a better computer and since she helps me upgrade mine from time to time she wanted to build her own. We told her if she could keep it around 500.00 budget we'd help her, so we scoured forums and youtube videos for less expensive builds. We found Toasty Bros there, and they in turn directed us to microcenter where we found a very nice cpu/motherboard/ram combo. with the combo and new case we came in around $570. She got her wish and I got a great father-daughter moment to cherish the rest of my life. :D$574.95 -

This gaming PC was made after a few of the family's windows laptops were damaged. We have a mac at home, but wanted a dedicated Windows PC at home. I used one of the Micro Center Intel bundles as the basis for the gaming build (The $250 one with the Core i5), then picked out parts to build on top of it. A good thing for my current budget was that I had various storage devices at hand for this build. I did decide to get the case elsewhere as I found an open box deal for a case that normally costs $100. I am happy with how things have turned out for this build. For upgrades, I plan on buying more sticks of ram to double the memory capacity and I am in the middle of getting be quiet case fans for the desktop as the case only had two pre-installed and were quite loud and rumbled a lot. I know the motherboard supports the current 14th gen cpu's, so I may do that whenever those go down in price. And if necessary, I might change the CPU cooler if the current $20 one craps out in the future.$772.92 -

I was once an avid gamer and as games got better my PC just couldn't handle them. I have been using a low-tier laptop since 2016 and even that struggled with older games, let alone newer ones. As a personal trainer I would love to be able to make make videos and host live streaming content for my clients or those interested in making a change to their fitness/health habits, but my setup just doesn't have the ability to do so. With this new rig I hope to be able to be able to reach a new group of clients and help them to appreciate fitness and how it can change their lives for the better. This (as well as the included picture) is of the current old PC. I am hoping with the holiday deals and this coupon that the new PC (Parts list) will be on the way shortly. Money is always tight so I will be reusing some components from the old PC. Namely the case, GPU, and SSD.....for now. Old computer CPU: intel Q6600 motherboard: Asus p5k-e wifi Ram: 3 gb ddr2 GPU: nvidia 7800gt upgraded to 7800GTS which eventually died an was replaced by a generous friends GTX780 PSU: cosair hx650w CASE: antec P180 HDD/SSD: 640GB platter upgraded to 500Gb SSD.$940.93 -

Here’s a breakdown of why I chose each component and how it contributes to my setup: Gaming. I enjoy a variety of games, from AAA titles to indie gems. Some of my current favorites include "The Witcher 3," "Cyberpunk 2077," "Overwatch," "Fortnite," and "Minecraft." These games demand a solid GPU and CPU to run smoothly, and my setup handles them quite well. 3D Printing. I use software like Blender, Fusion 360, and Tinkercad for designing my 3D prints. The i7-6700 CPU provides the necessary processing power to handle complex 3D modeling tasks without lag. Programs like Cura and PrusaSlicer are essential for converting 3D models into printable files. My GTX 1060 GPU accelerates the slicing process, making it faster and more efficient. Here are the parts and why I got them in this build: CPU: i7-6700 at 3.4GHz- Chosen for its strong performance in both single-threaded and multi-threaded tasks, which is essential for both gaming and 3D modeling. GPU: GTX 1060-6Gb- Provides excellent performance for gaming at 1080p with high settings and is also capable of accelerating rendering tasks in 3D software. 16GB Ram- Sufficient for multitasking, running multiple applications, and handling large 3D models without any slowdown. Storage: 256Gb SSD + 1 Tb HDD - The SSD ensures fast boot times and quick access to frequently used applications, while the HDD offers ample storage for games, large 3D model files, and other media. I boot with Windows 11 for its latest features, compatibility with a wide range of software, and enhanced security measures. By sharing the details of my build and its purposes, I hope to provide insight and inspire others in the community who might have similar interests. Whether you're a fellow gamer or a 3D printing enthusiast, let's engage and discuss the best ways to get the most out of our rigs!$974.96 -

One is a reliable system with decent performance I can use to do coursework and participate in online classes. The second "need" is, well.. gaming! The 6600 is meeting my gaming needs okay for the moment because I am playing games like Doom Eternal at 1080p resolution.$985.92 -

The main purpose of building this pc was to be able to play games and do work at the same time. The main game I play is Fortnite, and since the 6650xt is a decent card, I can get around 250 fps in game on performance mode. In the future, I plan on upgrading my gpu and my case. The gpu I got is not the best for my cpu(12700k), and a 6800xt would have been a better choice. I also decided to budget my case, which was a huge mistake, since the case I got used molex connectors and it was hard to take off the gpu brackets.$986.91 -

Had a budget of around $800, and got a SUPER SOLID rig. Micro center had great deals with their bundles and got a killer deal!
