I was able to build this PC because of a CPU + Board + RAM combo deal, and it was incredibly helpful since I was building around a $1,500 budget! (I actually managed to get in way under budget, which was a wonderfully welcome surprise) Originally, I optioned it with an AMD RX 6750 XT GPU, but have since upgraded to a RTX 3080 Ti Founder's Edition.$1,314.92 -

I want to play Red Dead Redemption on it, and the build is good enough for me to play this game at 120fps and high graphics settings and I'm really happy about it, It runs cool and very quiet too. Completely opposite from the prebuilt I had previously. I enjoyed buying these parts and assembling them myself. There were a few hiccups, but youtube is a very good resource for learning how to assembling a PC from scratch. I may add more RAM later but for now I'm going to finish the game first.$2,107.89 -

Not a professional builder, but I did a lot of research on reddit and pc building sites. I came to the conclusion that with $1.5k budget it's best to get AMD cpu and gpus for the best performance. The build took me the whole day but got done eventually. It lights up on the first try. And it's been working great since. After installing the drivers, I had several games tested in 1440p, and they run perfectly smooth.$1,347.92 -

I wanted my first-ever gaming PC to be something that could run most of the new games without spending too much money. The setup ensures smooth gameplay and stunning visuals, which enhance my gaming experience after a long day. Aside from gaming, my rig doubles as a hub for my creative projects. I frequently use Canva for designing graphics for social media campaigns, creating digital art pieces, and crafting presentations for work. The powerful GPU and CPU combination not only handle gaming demands but also crunch through intensive graphic design tasks with ease. Looking back, I might have considered a larger SSD to accommodate both my expanding game library and the numerous design files I work with. Future upgrades could include more RAM for smoother multitasking and perhaps investing in a dual-monitor setup to boost productivity while working on design projects.$1,086.95 -

This PC is a build that I designed and built for a friend who wanted to get back into PC gaming. The only limit given for the build was a budget of $1200 USD, and I decided to go for top performance, sacrificing clean looks and lighting in almost every aspect. Given the budget, I went with the the Micro Center i9-12900K bundle as it came with both a Asus PRIME Z790-V motherboard and 32 GB of Ripjaws S5 memory, both ideal for this case. This alone saved me around $200-220, giving me a lot more headway for choosing a graphics card. I decided to go with a Deepcool AK500 cooler as it was on sale on Newegg (the Zero Dark edition) and I thought that the thermals would be adequate. Through another coupon, I was also able to get an Inland 1TB M.2 SSD for only $27. I also put in another 1TB 2.5" SSD I sourced from Reddit's hardwareswap. The power supply and case are nothing special, but it was my first time building in a 3000D as I am more used to the slightly older 4000/5000D series cases. It seemed to be just around the same size as the 4000D but made with cheaper materials, e.g. swapping aluminum and steel for plastics. However, the case is still robust and I would recommend it for the price point. The GPU was a hard fine, but I finally found a 3080 on eBay that fit the budget. However, the card, which was a EVGA FTW3 ULTRA 3080 10GB, had a broken fan. This was an easy replacement with a very low cost, so overall it was worth the effort. I however would not recommend doing repairs like this for new builders, and instead spend the extra money on a complete card. Lastly, I found a 6 pack of RGB fans on Amazon for fairly cheap, and used them to complete the build. All in all, building this PC was a fun experience as it was my first time seeing DDR5 memory and first experience with the 3000D. Overall I believe I did a great job in selecting parts, and the PC is able to run games such COD MW3, SF6, and Diablo 4 at 1400p 120hz on upper-medium and high settings.$1,157.00 -
