However, I have a friend who is completely enamored with RGB components and so this otherwise-basic build was assembled according to what he wanted. The 6600xt is a midrange card that runs 1080p and occasionally 1440p games like Overwatch 2. Air cooling (and not a liquid AIO unit) was chosen for the cpu so that my friend wouldn't have to worry about an element of an AIO failing in future years of use.$884.92 -

This is my main gaming PC made up of old and newer parts. It's set up in the living room, so being quiet is most important.... This is my main gaming PC made up of old and newer parts. It's set up in the living room, so being quiet is most important. The case used to have one of those solid plastic front-panels with few vents, so I removed it and just exposed the fan filter directly. The GPU also had a lot of extra plastic covering up the fan exhaust, and I modified the GPU shroud by cutting out most of the plastic bits. Combined with a moderate undervolt, the whole system runs very cool/quiet even while playing games at 1440p.$1,380.95 -

I had wanted an NZXT H400i for the longest before it got discontinued. Was able to source one and made some small mods. Was able to add a plexi “elite” glass front panel. Snipped the motherboard tray and stuffed a 280mm Z63 up top. My favorite part of the build is the Asus Impact dtx motherboard. I’ll eventually move on to am5, but for the time being the 32gb of Corsair 3600, 5800x, and 2080 super are great and cool inside the case.$1,812.93 -
