The whole building process was a blast, except for the cable management part which took much longer than building the pc tbh. But the work was paid off. The pc runs smoothly without any issues.$2,132.92 -

I use this PC for working from home, web browsing, and gaming. I play all kind of games, Elden ring and Dark&darker to name a few. Made the choice to move from Intel to AMD because of all the horror stories about intel's newest cpus. So far it's been working good!$2,274.89 -

I built it because my last PC was extremely outdated (AMD Radeon RX 560 Cyberpower PC from 2017) and I wanted to have a fun time gaming rather than experience exhausting load in times paired with choppy gameplay. I want to play all competitive FPS shooters and Battle Royal games. I will stick to my PS5 to play story mode games but every other type of game will be played on my PC. No planned future upgrades as I got mostly the latest parts but in retrospective I would have gone with a different AIO because the Arctic Liquid Freezer III was so difficult to work with. Overall an insane rig and I will use it for many many years to come.$1,764.94 -

I don't need raytracing, that's why I went for the RX 7900 XTX and not RTX 4080 Super (I mean, 24Gb VRAM and more FPS for less $? I'll survive without RT for sure). Microcenter's 7700X bundle provides amazing value, but may require some troubleshooting to ensure RAM stability. Overall this rig is a beast and pairs very well with my Hisense 55U8K TV$1,791.92 -

The build is complete, but as times passes, I will add some nice power cable extensions and replace all case fans with white ARGB ones. This time around I decided to go AMD instead of my usual Intel/Nvidia build. The pc is used to play @1440p 165hz and I’d say paired up with a Sapphire Nitro+ 7900xtx, it can easily achieve that.$2,279.92 -

I started this as my first ever build. i wanted something better than the Xbox. I really thought I was going to build something "cheap and simple" and I went a little overboard! I love it though. Instead of spending around $1000 on a new laptop, I thought I would build a PC for around the same price instead. Right now, I only have a couple games installed, which are Prey and Need for Speed Unbound. Prey is a well optimized game, but it runs on dx11, and arc was known for having issues with non dx12 titles when it came out. I know Intel has gone back and improved drivers for certain dx11 games, but when playing Prey at max settings at 2560x1440p, there would be times where my framerate would drop from 144 fps to around 70 fps. The GPU usage would drop to around 30% To solve this, I ended up using dxvk to make the game run on vulkan. Now it stays at 144 fps all the time, with some shader compilation stutters. Using dxvk in dx11 and dx9 titles to make the game run in vulkan has a good chance of boosting performance with arc cards. To use dxvk, you just need to paste at most two folders into the game's exe directory. There are videos on YouTube that show how to do this. The only downside is that you can't do this in online games that use anti cheat. With need for speed, the game ran well out of the box. Playing at 1440p, I get around 70-85fps at max settings with xess quality. If I disable upscaling, I can reach the same framerate with textures at ultra and the rest of the settings set to a mix of mostly high and some medium. After setting a gpu fan curve, the hottest I've seen the GPU get is 64 Celsius, with vram hovering around 62 Celsius in a superposition benchmark. In terms of the ryzen 7700x, I was able to set a pbo curve of -35 on all cores, and I didn't crash after running prime95 for 20 minutes. I'll have to run core cycler and see if it is truly stable, although I haven't crashed in any games yet. Because of this, it runs extremely cool. At most, I've seen it hit 55 Celsius and pull 75w when gaming. In the prime95 benchmark, it pulled somewhere around 120ish watts and hit a max temp of somewhere around 86 Celsius. According to hwmonitor, the hotspot was also around that same temperature.$964.99 -

If i remember this right, it's been over 13 years since I've built my first (and only) desktop PC, so I came into this one a little bit rusty and barely any experience. Since then, I mostly just used consoles for gaming, considering that first PC was VERY low end, but i finally got the courage to step into the "master race" once again. After a lot of catching up and a bunch of youtube videos, yet another Fractal North build was born... All jokes aside, I don't remember having as much fun doing something in the last few years, as I had building this thing from the ground up! And you get that extra warm feeling when the build comes to life, EXACTLY as you imagined it.$2,474.92 -
