I built it originally to get the highest frames possible in games like COD, Rocket League, Overwatch, all in 1080p. I’d like to make upgrades to certain parts for power efficiency or heat reduction. I probably should’ve picked out a CPU that was better value for gaming rather than editing.$1,882.93 -

I also use it as a cloud gaming rig. If I could've done something different. I think I would've gone for a cpu with x3d. Something like a 7800x3d would've been worth it in the competitive scene, but I still got a great deal with the microcenter bundle. As a side note, I bought my gpu and cpu cooler separately from Microcenter. Zotac 3080 OC and a Peerless Assassin cooler. Everything else I got for an unbelievable price.$1,364.92 -

I built it to get back to gaming after more than 20 years (back in my college days). Its my first build ever as well. I bought 2 bundles from Microcenter - CPU+memory+motherboard and then ASUS Prime case + motherboard + psu bundle. I sold the motherboard from the CPU bundle (since it was regular size ATX board). The build posed some minor challenges which i loved. The Asus Prime case did not allow fitting the Arctic 280 cooler so i had to change one of the fans to a slim profile fan (as you can see in the pic). The HD drive was not easy to mount either. I am not much of a gamer though - but I play Far Cry 6, Metro: Last Light, Counter Strike, GTA V.$1,473.89 -

In the bustling town where I grew up, there weren't many options for computer enthusiasts like me. Sure, there were a handful of small computer shops scattered around, each offering a mishmash of components, but none could compare to the tech haven that is Microcenter. My journey into the world of building PCs began amidst these humble surroundings. Armed with determination and a modest budget, I scoured the shelves of these local stores, piecing together my first rig. It wasn't perfect, but it was mine—a testament to my budding passion for all things tech. As I tinkered with my creation, learning the ins and outs of hardware assembly, I couldn't shake the feeling that there was something more out there, something beyond the limitations of my small town's offerings. That something turned out to be Microcenter. The first time I set foot in that gleaming megastore, I felt like a kid in a candy shop. Row upon row of pristine components stretched out before me, gleaming under the fluorescent lights. It was a paradise for any PC enthusiast, with shelves stocked high with the latest processors, graphics cards, and peripherals. But it wasn't just the sheer variety of products that captivated me—it was the expertise of the staff. Unlike the often clueless employees at the local shops, the Microcenter team were true professionals, eager to share their knowledge and offer advice on even the most obscure tech questions. Armed with the resources of Microcenter and the guidance of its knowledgeable staff, I embarked on my next build with newfound confidence. Gone were the days of settling for "okay" parts; now, I had access to the best of the best. With their help, I carefully selected each component, ensuring that my new rig would be a masterpiece of performance and reliability. As I sat back and admired my completed build, I couldn't help but marvel at how far I'd come. From humble beginnings in those small-town computer shops to the pinnacle of PC building excellence at Microcenter, my journey had been nothing short of extraordinary. And as I powered up my new rig for the first time, I knew that the best was yet to come. At its core lay the beating heart of my creation, the Intel i7 8700k, a processor as reliable as it was powerful. With its six cores and twelve threads, it was the engine that drove my digital adventures, powering through the most demanding of tasks with ease. Surrounding it, like loyal soldiers standing guard, were 32GB of RAM, a veritable army of memory, ready to tackle any challenge I threw their way. And nestled snugly within the belly of the beast was a lightning-fast 1TB SSD, its silent whispers promising swift load times and snappy system responsiveness. But it was the crown jewel of my rig—the RTX 2070 SUPER GPU—that truly set it apart. With its ray-tracing prowess and blistering rendering speeds, it transformed every pixel into a masterpiece, bringing my virtual worlds to life with unparalleled beauty and realism. Together, we embarked on a journey unlike any other, a journey into the heart of gaming and streaming glory. From the darkest dungeons to the farthest reaches of outer space, we traversed virtual landscapes with skill and determination, our every triumph and defeat broadcast to an eager audience of fellow adventurers. But it wasn't just about the games—it was about the connection. With my powerful rig, I streamed in crystal-clear HD, my every word and gesture captured with stunning clarity. And as I interacted with my viewers, sharing stories and swapping strategies, I felt a sense of camaraderie unlike anything I'd ever known.$886.96 -

I use it mainly for school work and some occasional gaming (Valorant, Minecraft, the likes). I feel like overall I did a good job, as I did a lot of price hunting and got my GPU eBay, the rest from Microcenter with their insane deals. One thing I would have changed if I knew about this earlier was to get a better motherboard - the B450M is good but I ran into a lot of problems for some reason, maybe it was me? This build cost me around $450 - yes, you may have seen the price above, but it did cost me around $450 because of some coupons I used, the GPU came from eBay, and lots of deals Microcenter had at the time I made this a month back. Whatever the case, overall I loved this project.$635.93 -

This is my PC setup which I have gradually upgraded over the years with a mix of old and new components. There is some jank involved in my setup as I had to use Lego to hold a monitor in place and to have a webcam that I could use without blocking parts of my main monitor screen as it has thin bezels. It started off as a low end computer because I didn't have much money to be able to afford what I desired. And the only reason I was able to afford those PC parts was because I decided to sell some of my electronics. Those electronics include, a Nintendo Switch with all of its games and a few other things I can't remember. And after I save up enough money and bought all my parts from Amazon, only because I didn't know about Micro Center at that time. I know it sucks, and I feel bad for myself for not knowing about it. And that was the worst time for me to start building a computer since it was 2021, when the prices were too high. So my first parts were a Ryzen 3 3200g CPU, an AsRock B450M Pro4 motherboard, Viper rgb 8 GB 3200 Mhz ram, Crucial P2 500GB ssd, Aresgame 450W power supply, and a cheap MSI case. I didn't buy a GPU until 5 months later when I was able to afford one. That was when I found out about Micro Center, so I bought an AMD Radeon RX 6600 MSI MECH 2X GPU for around $460. From there on I started to slowly upgrade my PC. I changed my ram sticks to Crucial RGB 2x8 16GB 3600Mhz. I bought an AIO from cooler master, which lasted me all those months until just recently I upgraded it because my new CPU needed better cooling. Next I upgraded almost everything with the money I saved up from one of the jobs I worked at. I bought a new case, Motherboard, CPU, and new fans. The case was a Fractal design Meshify C, the Motherboard was an MSI MPG B550 Gaming Plus, and the CPU was a Ryzen 5 5600g. I was finally able to play more demanding games, which is good because I love playing Campaign open world games like Far cry and Cyberpunk; and multiplayer games like Call Of Duty. And I was not done, I still wanted better gaming quality and performance. I then decided to go big or go home; Once again I saved up money from work and bought an EVGA RTX 3070 Ti, but I wasn't pleased. So I saved up a little more and bought a EVGA RTX 3080 FTW3 Ultra Gaming 10Gb GPU for the low price of $770 US. And i'm not even joking, that price at Micro Center beat every other retailer, so I was very happy. Also another reason why I was able to afford all the upgrades was because I sold all my old parts to friends or other people, and I would help them put the computer together if they needed it. Then I changed my Ram again to some G.Skill Trident Z Rgb 4x8 32Gb 3200Mhz CL16 because why not. And so this year I made my last PC upgrades until I feel the need to change it up. I received an email from Micro Center of a CPU & Motherboard combo deal for an Intel platform, and I've been wanting to upgrade my CPU so that was my chance to which I took. And that was what caused me to change my AIO to a 360 mm for much better cooling. I also forgot to mention a few other parts I added and changed, which were a new case and more SSD storage. I will have all my recent parts listed, so there is no need for me to list them here. Lastly, the name Rem comes from a female from one of my favorite anime, at first sight she isn't so great but over time she becomes a lovable person just like my PC. And her hair is blue which is my favorite color. Finally, all of this happened because I was bored of playing games on console and I wanted to become better since I wasn't making anymore progress on controller. And I was inspired by Linus Tech Tips to build my own rig. I learned almost everything from his YouTube channel. I want to thank you Micro Center for all the amazing deals and for reading my rant of my long journey that lead me here.$2,276.85 -
