I got fed up with my old MacBook and finally decided to build a PC for myself this year. I started gathering parts in July 2021 and got the system to post the following month. Most of the parts I got on sale through Newegg and Micro Center, and the motherboard was the one part I bought secondhand. I built this system for Battlefield 2042 and 1440p high refresh rate gaming. I also plan to use this to learn how to code/program; I want to get into a coding bootcamp to start a new career in tech. I may also use this for streaming, video editing or music production eventually. For a first time build, I'm pretty happy with how this system turned out. Let me know what you guys think as well as what can be improved to make this system even better. Thanks!$2,183.24 -

I built my PC originally for Destiny 2 and have since upgraded it for better 1440p high refresh rate gaming. Currently, my primary games have been Genshin Impact, Destiny 2, and the New World Closed Beta. As amazing as the Noctua NH-D15S is, I do want to replace it with a 360 AIO in order to truely vertically mount the GPU. Right now, the 3070 is vertically mounted at an angle under the heatsink as it's the only way it'd fit.$2,127.89 -

Was using a 7 year old prebuilt that was starting to give me frame rates in the teens playing games like POE. And when I saw games like Elden Ring, I knew I needed to build something new. Hindsight I should have swapped that front case fans for Fractals rgb version. There is also a “empty spot” in the case that is meant for a water pump is that is your thing. But I have plans to put in a small screen there to give me real time thermals on the cpu and gpu and fans speeds.$2,014.93 -

Had an AMD A10 7700K Black Edition with Asrock fatal1ty fm2a88x+ killer board, 8GB Crucial Ballistix RAM 1600Mhz, MSI R9 270 Twin Frozr 2GB, 128GB Samsung 840 PRO SSD and 1TB WDBlue HDD, EVGA 500W 80 Plus PSU, in a Corsair Carbide Spec01 lol. This is my complete overhaul (2.5 years-ish old now. Newest part is GPU, originally had an Asus RX580 4GB) Built this purposely for casual gaming at 1440p high/ultra, photo editing and minor video work.. Running 2 monitors ACER Nitro VG271U and MSi Optix MAG24C.. (Yeah cringey cause not matching monitors lol) Peripherals are Glorious Model D, Glorious TKL Keyboard with lubed and filmed Gateron Yellow switches, Glorious Extended mouse pad. For Audio I'm currently running FiiO E10K USB DAC/AMP to a Philips Fidelio X2HR open back headphones. Speakers are Logitech z623 system. Mic is a Fifine T669 with boom arm and shock mount. Aiming to upgrade to AIO cooling since I have the space.. Feel free to roast or suggest anything lol$1,992.79 -

I built this PC with primarily the dual purpose of gaming and doing design work. It does both of them very well! And then this isn't necessarily any hardware inside the build, but I have active display port and usb cables so I can run the PC in my basement and have my monitors and necessary USB peripherals at my desk in my office 1 floor above. That way I can keep the heat of my PC out of my office, which is great especially in the summer!$1,906.92 -

I built this pc for the purpose of gaming and some creative programs I use in school. I play a lot of demanding games such as Far Cry and Elden Ring that require a decent gpu. I also use Adobe and Autodesk programs which is why I went with such a nice cpu. Overall this pc accomodates my needs in a efficent manner allowing me to pursue what I like to do.$1,893.92 -

This build technically started back in 2016 as there are still some leftover parts from my first PC, as time went on I just continued to add more parts and recycle old ones where I can. There is some insane value in this PC as I virtually have little to zero dollars in it since I would upgrade and sell my old parts for more than what I paid originally over the years. Its a more than a decent gaming rig, but these days as I have no time anymore, it has become a fancy facebook/email checker and a YouTube machine for my toddler.$1,877.90 -

This was my first time building a gaming PC after being on console only forever. I mostly play Battlefield 4, Deep Rock Galactic, Overwtach, and cRPGs (like Divinity and Tyranny). I feel like this is a great base too for when I need to upgrade any parts. I chose a 3700X because I use this for data analysis for work as well.$1,876.92 -

On weekends it’s for gaming and watching YouTube and on weekdays it’s for homework and if I have time (which I won’t) it’s for the same stuff as weekends. I will probably get a better monitor, a few more fans and more storage like a fast m.2 but it’s a great pc and it doesn’t need to be upgraded in several years.$1,846.92
