I come from a console background so building this as my first PC would give me more versatility in the games I could play. I mainly play a lot of shooters like Apex Legends and Overwatch so I didn't really need anything too high end starting out. Besides that, I'm planning to get a racing wheel relatively soon and start playing games like Assetto Corsa and iRacing.$1,050.91 -

I'm thrilled to share my very first gaming PC setup with you all. After years of living in the Mac world, I've finally made the leap into PC gaming, and let me tell you, it's been an incredible journey! Why I Built It: Switching from Mac to PC was a big decision for me, but I wanted to explore the world of gaming in a whole new way. I built this PC because I wanted something powerful enough to run all the latest games smoothly while still fitting within my budget. It's amazing how customizable and versatile PC gaming can be, and I couldn't wait to dive in. Purpose: This PC may be my first, but it's already exceeded my expectations. It's more than enough for me to enjoy gaming to the fullest, whether I'm exploring the vastness of space in "Elite Dangerous" or battling it out in matches of "Overwatch." Games I Play: As someone new to PC gaming, I'm still exploring all the amazing titles out there, but I've already found a couple of favorites. "Elite Dangerous" is perfect for satisfying my craving for space exploration and adventure, while "Overwatch" scratches that competitive itch with its intense multiplayer action. I'm constantly discovering new games to play and loving every minute of it. Future Upgrades and Reflections: While this PC may be perfect for me right now, I'm excited to see where my gaming journey takes me in the future. As I become more experienced with PC gaming, I might consider upgrading certain components to further enhance my gaming experience. But for now, I'm just enjoying every moment of gaming on my new setup and embracing this exciting new chapter in my gaming journey.$874.94 -

This was a budget build I did for a friend, keeping cost in mind, but also a clean look and decent performance. The combination of Ryzen 5600 with RX 6600 is amazing, giving me over 200fps on fortnite (performance mode) on a 1080p, for the budget, this is an amazing build, still looking cool and modern. Sadly, all prices went up in microcenter a month later and I'm not able to replicate this build, the cheapest I could find was a Ryzen 5500 with GTX 1660 Super and a B450 board, paying over $50 on tob of this build, too sad.$664.91 -

An aesthetic-focused mid range gaming rig with room to grow and upgrade, designed for my wife. Definitely not winning any awards for the price-to-performance ratio, but I intentionally specced around some components (like the white, way more wattage than needed power supply and 32 GB of RGB RAM) based around looks and not needing to be upgraded later, with other components (like the RX 6600) being obvious targets for future upgrades. If anyone wanted to emulate this build while still going somewhat aesthetically pleasing, I'd go with the black version of the case, no RGB RAM (and also only 16 GB), get a single normal fan for rear exhaust instead of the RGB 3 pack, different power supply, no wifi card (if you don't need it, we did), and just use the stock heat sink for the 5600. With those changes, this would be a killer bang-for-buck build. As it is, I fully accept the higher cost in exchange for better looks and great accessories.$1,223.86 -

I play games such as Rocket League on this and my sister uses this for games such as Sims. First of all. let me make it clear that this build is not done according to my tastes and preferences. At all. However, I have a friend who is completely enamored with RGB components and so this otherwise-basic build was assembled according to what he wanted. The 6600xt is a midrange card that runs 1080p and occasionally 1440p games like Overwatch 2. Counter Strike 2 was recently announced which reignited my interest in building a PC. I didn't want to spend a ton of money - the goal was to keep it under $1000. However, as we all naturally do, I wanted to upgrade it the more I go. I recently purchased the Radeon 6650xt (upgrading from a 1060) so I could run newer games at higher resolutions while getting stable frames. I run games like COD, Smite, Fortnite, etc. Mainly got the graphics card to run Hogwarts though. :) I started from a budget case, Montech X1, to the Lian Li O11 Air Mini (amazing case), and now the Thermaltake P3. I also upgraded a few other things like my PSU (from 500w to 750w), RAM (from 3200 to 3600), and the stock cooler to an UpHere one (it actually cools pretty decently, it allowed me to overclock to 4.15 from 3.6). I built it for pure enjoyment of building a pc, it is something I have wanted to do for a long time. I built it mainly to play games, I like to play Fortnite, Rocket League, Assassins Creed and many other games. I am planning on adding an AIO, upgrading the RAM and adding some more RGB. This build was very fun and was filled with learning moments. One thing I would have done different would be to put the CPU cooler on the correct direction the first time. When I first placed it I had the AMD logo to the right and it cover the RAM slots, so I had to take it off and reset it, and this was a large waste of time.$1,002.92 -

The main purpose of this computer was gaming and streaming and it has held its own. I built this computer to play most games at 144 fps 1080p high settings and while it doesn't all ways hit my peak expectations I am more than happy with my dope system.$1,108.95 -

The i5 beats the previous-gen Core i9 part in gaming for cheap, so great value there. And the RX 6600 is the absolute best value midrange GPU of this generation, maybe ever, if you get it at the right price: I got this MSI model for $260, which is honestly amazing for this level of performance.$747.94 -

As soon as I had enough money in hand to build a PC, I waited no further to say good bye to my old gaming console. I know the graphic card market now is in a much better shape but I couldn't wait longer and I seriously though the chip shortage is gonna stay till 2022 end. At the time of building this PC, AMD RX 6600 is the only card that is budget friendly and readily available in market. I am not a huge fan of RGB and it doesn't add anything to performance. I don't want to waste money on that. I stayed with the stock cooler that came with Ryzen 5600G and added 2 120mm exhaust fans. I stick with 5600G rather than 5600X to keep the PC running even when the graphic card die and I can't afford another one. True future proofing :) I saw a slim gap in the price for 3200MHz and 3600MHz ram and went with 3600. AMD can take advantage of the high speed ram than Intel. Micro ATX form factor and Thermal take S100 are both budget friendly choices. I am happy with the way it looks and performs. I am set for next 5 years.$1,230.94 -

I built this because ever since I was a kid I always wanted a pc and I started off with an Xbox and have actually gotten a pc a while ago then returned it because of a wifi issue that we thought was the pcs fault. Then again we got a pc but I actually didn't know I had to plug it into the GPU so we returned it again, and after all that I finally have a pc that I've been using for a couple years now and it really hasn't had many problems at all. I like to just game, play with friends, overall just having a computer is very easy and is useful in many things.$946.95
