I built this PC about a year ago to enjoy my all of my favorite games with high refresh rates and resolutions. Primarily, it serves as my gaming rig for racing titles such as Forza Horizon 5 and Assetto Corsa. Outside of gaming, it's my workstation for schoolwork and watching YouTube. Currently, I have no upgrades in mind, as it's already very powerful. Something I would highly recommend adding is the cable extensions. If you just use the included PSU cables, you'll have one extra cable hanging loose from the GPU.

  This build is my new daily driver. This is replacing a 2018 Acer Predator Helios 300 that in turn replaced a gaming desktop... This build is my new daily driver. This is replacing a 2018 Acer Predator Helios 300 that in turn replaced a gaming desktop build from 2014. I typically refresh my builds in 5 year cycles, turning the last piece of hardware into a server. The 2014 desktop is still going strong as a server and the laptop died, so I'm hoping this build lasts another 5 years. The H9 case is beautiful, but not as easy to work with as I'd hoped. There are a lot of parts, and it can be a pain to get the cable bar on and off. Overall, I'm very happy with the way it turned out.

I built it because my last PC was extremely outdated (AMD Radeon RX 560 Cyberpower PC from 2017) and I wanted to have a fun time gaming rather than experience exhausting load in times paired with choppy gameplay. I want to play all competitive FPS shooters and Battle Royal games. I will stick to my PS5 to play story mode games but every other type of game will be played on my PC. No planned future upgrades as I got mostly the latest parts but in retrospective I would have gone with a different AIO because the Arctic Liquid Freezer III was so difficult to work with. Overall an insane rig and I will use it for many many years to come.

It's currently running Ubuntu 24.04, but will add another M.2 SSD for Windows and gaming. Currently I'm participating in multiple scientific distributed computing projects with boinc, I have transcoded ripped blu rays (1080p so far) at a stable 500 fps to AV1 mkv's using ffmpeg (cuda hw accelerated). I plan to run an LLM locally, and want to see if i can run a 70B model without too much quantization, and compare to my old rig (core i7 3770, 16GB ram, GTX 1080). That only ran 13B models max. I might need more system memory. Lol.
