How to disable Internet Explorer 11 in Windows 8.1

  1. Press Windows key + X.
  2. Select Control Panel.

  3. Change the View By category to Small Icons.

  4. Click on Programs and Features.

  5. Select Turn Windows features on or off.

  6. Uncheck the Internet Explorer feature and click OK.

  7. Click Yes at the prompt.

  8. Proceed to reboot your computer after the changes have been applied.

  9. Internet Explorer has been disabled.
