How to make a flash drive readable/writable on both a Mac and Windows computer
Description: A guide explaining how to make a flash drive readable / writable on both Mac and Windows computers.
In order to make a flash drive readable on a Mac, it needs to be formatted FAT 32. This must be done on the Mac. If it is done on the Windows machine, it won't be recognized on the Mac.
- Click on Finder.
- Click on Applications.
- Click on Utilities.
- Click on Disk Utility.
- Click on your flash drive.
- Click on Erase.
- Make sure it is set for MS-DOS (FAT) and click on
- Finally, click on Erase and you are done. The flash drive will now be able to read / write using both a Windows computer and an Apple computer.
