Fast forward a few hours and surfing the net while watching Netflix’s and found a smoking deal on some closed back Focals. Want to return the AirPods but bit no return sticker on it. Hoping unopened gets a pass 0 · Share on TwitterShare on Facebook Answers Ian admin January 29 Greetings. Yes, this applies to all types of headphones. Community Article I3-10100 max ram speed — Micro Center Computers Computer Parts Custom PC Builder DIY/ Maker {$smarty.capture.menu} Activity Categories Discussions Computers Computer Parts Custom PC Builder DIY/ Maker Home › Help Choosing Parts I3-10100 max ram speed stuc3386 ✭ December 2020 in Help Choosing Parts Hi folks. I’m building a PC to take over home computing tasks, including some Adobe suite, and Cyberpunk. I got my hands on. 3060 ti. itx form factor is a must given our house setup. I originally didn’t want to spend the extra for z490 mobos especially since the asrock affordable option is out of stock locally so went with a h470. when I did this I wasn’t aware of ram speed limitations and am considering upgrading to a z490 mobo but haven’t been able to nail down the limitations on ram speed   The i3-10300 processor itself states “Memory Support DDR4 2666 MHz” on Intel website but I’ve seen discussion of higher speed rams online especially when overclocking is discussed. I know h470s are limited and the one I’m considering is 2666 max, but the z490s support over 4000. Im worried the lower ram speed may impact performance just since it’s so far below what’s now available. I’m looking for feedback into whether this is true and for feedback on what ram speeds may be supported by the i3 with z490 Thanks for reading this far 0 · Share on TwitterShare on Facebook Comments stuc3386 ✭ December 2020 Hi again - I was able to find some more info by searching intel 10th gen max ram speed instead of searching specifically for i3-10100 max ram speed.  I’ll share what u found here for anyone who may have similar questions, and if I’m sharing bad info please correct me.  Generally speaking, the intel stated ram speed is the max ram speed when not overclocking, but overclocking can utilize higher ram speeds. However, the i3-10100 is locked so the stated ram speed is the max.  However, the i5-10600k can use DDR4s over 4000 when OCd (the ‘k’ at the end of the processor number specified ‘unlocked’ which means it can be OCd) Also the H470 has some ability to overclocking, though much less than the z490. There is more but that’s a start 0 · Share on TwitterShare on Facebook Categories 7.9K All Categories 1.2K The Blog 59 What's Trending 15 Past News and Updates 185 How to & Technical Guides 13 Computer Hardware 119 Software 3 Home Office 6 Networking 2 Audio/Visual 2 Home Automation 20 3D Printers 20 Maker 32 PC Build Guides 120 Reviews & Buying Guides 55 Build Showcase 27 Contests 48 Past Contests 1.6K The Community 1.9K General Discussion 106 New Members 245 Consumer Tech 67 Prebuilt PCs and Laptops 100 Software 8 Audio/Visual 27 Networking & Security 1 Home Automation 3 Digital Photography 3 Content Creators 22 Hobby Boards & Projects 33 3D Printing 68 Retro Arcade/Gaming 92 All Other Tech 1.6K Store Information and Policy 77 Off Topic 16 Community Ideas & Feedback 120 Your Completed Builds 2.9K Build-Your-Own PC 1.9K Help Choosing Parts 251 Graphics Cards 200 CPUs, Memory, and Motherboards 73 Cases and Power Supplies 23 Air and Liquid Cooling 26 Monitors and Displays 33 Peripherals 19 All Other Parts 28 Featured Categories We love seeing what our customers build Submit photos and a description of your PC to our build showcase Submit Now Looking for a little inspiration? Max Budget - $400 jxcelyn97 ✭ July 2020 in Help Choosing Parts Hello everyone. I want to build my own PC. I am still learning what parts can do. I want to build a PC that can runs the Sims 4 and Minecraft smooth and playable and lasts for few years. 0 · Share on TwitterShare on Facebook Comments TSTonyV admin July 2020 So thankfully both those games are extremely light graphics wise, and you could get away with using a Ryzen 3 3200G or a Ryzen 5 3400G. However, the 3400G would probably stretch that budget  a little too far and put you over $400 if you build it yourself. If you use the 3200G, you could do something like this: https://www.microcenter.com/site/content/custom-pc-builder.aspx?load=a8e8a115-91ee-4fda-914b-6044a19690ca However, keep in mind that this does not include Windows. Alternatively, you could go with our pre-built Powerspec B244 https://www.microcenter.com/product/618836/powerspec-b244-desktop-computer The Powerspec includes the 3400G and Windows, and the 3400G will be a little better for long-term use. Just remember that the integrated graphics on these Ryzen G CPUs is good for light gaming like Minecraft and the Sims, but isn't suited to more demanding titles.  1 · Share on TwitterShare on Facebook Categories 7.9K All Categories 1.2K The Blog 59 What's Trending 15 Past News and Updates 185 How to & Technical Guides 13 Computer Hardware 119 Software 3 Home Office 6 Networking 2 Audio/Visual 2 Home Automation 20 3D Printers 20 Maker 32 PC Build Guides 120 Reviews & Buying Guides 55 Build Showcase 27 Contests 48 Past Contests 1.6K The Community 1.9K General Discussion 106 New Members 245 Consumer Tech 67 Prebuilt PCs and Laptops 100 Software 8 Audio/Visual 27 Networking & Security 1 Home Automation 3 Digital Photography 3 Content Creators 22 Hobby Boards & Projects 33 3D Printing 68 Retro Arcade/Gaming 92 All Other Tech 1.6K Store Information and Policy 77 Off Topic 16 Community Ideas & Feedback 120 Your Completed Builds 2.9K Build-Your-Own PC 1.9K Help Choosing Parts 251 Graphics Cards 200 CPUs, Memory, and Motherboards 73 Cases and Power Supplies 23 Air and Liquid Cooling 26 Monitors and Displays 33 Peripherals 19 All Other Parts 28 Featured Categories We love seeing what our customers build Submit photos and a description of your PC to our build showcase Submit Now Looking for a little inspiration? I have an old HP L3065 2560X1600 monitor that I've been using with an old Nvidia card for years without any issues. However, the maximum resolution this Radeon card allows me to select is 1280x800! I'm running the latest Radeon software and the latest version of Windows 10 Pro as of 11/18/20. The monitor uses DVI connectors and the Radeon only has Displayport and HDMI connectors. Welcome to the Community.  The answer is yes if the BIOS on the motherboard is updated to support the 3rd gen Ryzen processors. At this point, most all the B450 boards will be updated and compatible out of box, and will be designated with a label like this: If that's there, it means the board is updated already. If not, you'll need to update the BIOS, which we can do at our service desk for you, or you can do yourself with a first or second generation Ryzen CPU.  0 · Share on TwitterShare on Facebook jordokream ✭ May 2020 Thank you so much for the quick reply!! I used PCPartPicker to gather my list of items and I get this message along with others? The motherboard M.2 slot #1 shares bandwidth with SATA 6.0 Gb/s ports. When the M.2 slot is populated, two SATA 6.0 Gb/s ports are disabled. Here is my list: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/q2D2p8 Any help in understanding this would mean so much to me! God bless and thank you. 0 · Share on TwitterShare on Facebook Comments TSTonyV admin August 2020 All this means is if you use an M.2 drive in the board, some of the SATA ports are automatically disabled because they share the same lanes/resources so only one or the other could be used. It's not a problem, just how a lot of motherboards are designed. If you have an M.2 drive and are planning on using SATA devices like a hard drive or a DVD drive, you just need to make sure you don't plug them into the disabled SATA ports. Which ports are disabled will be listed in the motherboard manual. For this board it's SATA ports 5 and 6.  0 · Share on TwitterShare on Facebook Luke_Jeung ✭ August 2020 Okay, thanks so much! I'd recommend this PSU instead of the one you've selected. https://www.microcenter.com/product/485312/powerspec-650-watt-80-plus-bronze-atx-semi-modular-power-supply 0 · Share on TwitterShare on Facebook Categories 7.9K All Categories 1.2K The Blog 59 What's Trending 15 Past News and Updates 185 How to & Technical Guides 13 Computer Hardware 119 Software 3 Home Office 6 Networking 2 Audio/Visual 2 Home Automation 20 3D Printers 20 Maker 32 PC Build Guides 120 Reviews & Buying Guides 55 Build Showcase 27 Contests 48 Past Contests 1.6K The Community 1.9K General Discussion 106 New Members 245 Consumer Tech 67 Prebuilt PCs and Laptops 100 Software 8 Audio/Visual 27 Networking & Security 1 Home Automation 3 Digital Photography 3 Content Creators 22 Hobby Boards & Projects 33 3D Printing 68 Retro Arcade/Gaming 92 All Other Tech 1.6K Store Information and Policy 77 Off Topic 16 Community Ideas & Feedback 120 Your Completed Builds 2.9K Build-Your-Own PC 1.9K Help Choosing Parts 251 Graphics Cards 200 CPUs, Memory, and Motherboards 73 Cases and Power Supplies 23 Air and Liquid Cooling 26 Monitors and Displays 33 Peripherals 19 All Other Parts 28 Featured Categories We love seeing what our customers build Submit photos and a description of your PC to our build showcase Submit Now Looking for a little inspiration? Doesn't look like you'll have enough room to go 3080 though.  1 · Share on TwitterShare on Facebook TSKevinG admin December 2020 Good Morning @Iconic_Xam The video will most likely be the main component to upgrade as the processor and memory should both be good.  for the way the system is setup now you would not have enough room however potentially you may be able to remove the in fans from the liquid cooler  to give some more space as you would not set of fan n each side of the radiator.  If you look at the 4th image on the NZXT site you can see they are showing it with a larger GPU in it https://www.nzxt.com/products/h210-matte-white 1 · Share on TwitterShare on Facebook LandShark admin December 2020 @SlowRoddo has it right! A GPU would be the biggest improvement. You may be able to fit a 3080 or 3070 if you remove one set of fans around your radiator, as it looks like their double up right now. Another option would be to increase the SSD capacity. You'll find that loading games and other programs will be much more snappy when using your SSD. Hope this helps! 1 · Share on TwitterShare on Facebook Iconic_Xam ✭ December 2020 Awesome to hear about that, Thank you fellas for the input now here I am curious If I could maybe fit a 2080 super in my mini nzxt. 0 · Share on TwitterShare on Facebook LandShark admin December 2020 Mini NZXT? Do you mean the H1? or perhaps a different case? 0 · Share on TwitterShare on Facebook Iconic_Xam ✭ December 2020 Fitting a 2080 super in the Case: NZXT: H210 0 · Share on TwitterShare on Facebook LandShark admin December 2020 Oh, I see. They are closer in size than the 3000 series cards we mentioned. I'd say that as long as you're willing to adjust the fans on your AIO a bit, it should fit just fine. Can you confirm that you do have fans in the front and behind the radiator? Or am I not seeing that correctly? 0 · Share on TwitterShare on Facebook Iconic_Xam ✭ December 2020 Yes, it does have extra fans on the right side of the radiator. 0 · Share on TwitterShare on Facebook Categories 7.9K All Categories 1.2K The Blog 59 What's Trending 15 Past News and Updates 185 How to & Technical Guides 13 Computer Hardware 119 Software 3 Home Office 6 Networking 2 Audio/Visual 2 Home Automation 20 3D Printers 20 Maker 32 PC Build Guides 120 Reviews & Buying Guides 55 Build Showcase 27 Contests 48 Past Contests 1.6K The Community 1.9K General Discussion 106 New Members 245 Consumer Tech 67 Prebuilt PCs and Laptops 100 Software 8 Audio/Visual 27 Networking & Security 1 Home Automation 3 Digital Photography 3 Content Creators 22 Hobby Boards & Projects 33 3D Printing 68 Retro Arcade/Gaming 92 All Other Tech 1.6K Store Information and Policy 77 Off Topic 16 Community Ideas & Feedback 120 Your Completed Builds 2.9K Build-Your-Own PC 1.9K Help Choosing Parts 251 Graphics Cards 200 CPUs, Memory, and Motherboards 73 Cases and Power Supplies 23 Air and Liquid Cooling 26 Monitors and Displays 33 Peripherals 19 All Other Parts 28 Featured Categories We love seeing what our customers build Submit photos and a description of your PC to our build showcase Submit Now Looking for a little inspiration? Here are the important parts. CPU: Ryzen 7 3700x COOLER: NZXT Kraken X63 GPU: EVGA RTX 2070 SUPER Motherboard: ASRock X570 Phantom Gaming 4 PSU: Corsair RM750 Ive been playing games like Overwatch and at random intervals the pcs screen goes black, display says no signal. The GPU fans get to max and make a loud noise. The rgb on the fans and the cooler still works. The tempreture isnt the issue, I monitored the temps as I play and they dont go above 60C. Ive checked to see that everything is plugged in and everything is in order there. Any suggestions on what to do? 0 · Share on TwitterShare on Facebook Best Answer TSMikeW admin July 2020 Answer ✓ Sounds like a display driver crash. Look at your event viewer logs and verify this is what's happening. From there, first thing to try is a clean driver install. Use DDU: https://www.wagnardsoft.com/ After running the "Clean and restart" option, reinstall the latest drivers and test again. 5 · Share on TwitterShare on Facebook Answers charan ✭ July 2020 What do you look for in the event viewer logs? There seems to be a few different types of things shown. 0 · Share on TwitterShare on Facebook TSTonyV admin July 2020 You're looking for warnings/errors that match up with the time the issue occurred. @TSMikeW can correct me if I'm wrong, but usually graphics driver crashes in Event Viewer will list the faulting application and a faulting module, and the module will typically be the driver. Something like DirectX or Direct3D, or it may just say "display driver" in the error description. I would definitely recommend downloading and running DDU to do a clean uninstall of your drivers and reinstall them.  0 · Share on TwitterShare on Facebook charan ✭ July 2020 I’ve tried running DDU and have followed all the steps, the problem still persists. Could this be possible hardware malfunction? Any other fixes? 0 · Share on TwitterShare on Facebook TSTonyV admin July 2020 edited July 2020 Open up Settings, go to System, then Power and Sleep. Look for something like "additional power settings" and that should open up the power plans in your control panel.  If you're set to the Ryzen power plan, switch it to the standard "balanced" option instead and see if that helps. Windows recently released an update and the Ryzen power plan has been known to cause issues like this after that.
