I have an hour drive there I can't get anyone to answer the phones I want to know if I can wait and how early can I arrive be it midnight or 7 am I don't care. Also will they hand out a voucher or ticket if you are in line? Going to be a cold night! 0 · Share on FacebookShare on Twitter AntzC ✭ September 16 Wonder how many people are going to show up at the paterson location since its then only store in jersey 0 · Share on FacebookShare on Twitter shinfo44 ✭ September 16 Ok, so there are a lot of "my uncle works at Microcetner" types of posts going on right now on reddit and here. Can anyone here honestly verify if people are already lining up? Maybe with a picture or something? I am most concerned about the Houston store. Someone said "they are already handing out vouchers", which I doubt it true. I fully believe it is some people's ill intent to dissuade people from showing up at stores they want to go to by posting misinformation online. I don't care if people are already lining or not, but I would much rather take my chances at home hitting F5 all day if things are already looking not good. 2 · Share on FacebookShare on Twitter Youtellatale52 ✭ September 16 Planman said: FallenDeity93 said: Anyone going to be at the Dallas location? I think you are misreading, he is saying that there are people posting non-confirmable reports of people waiting and getting vouchers. I am mainly getting my information from a reddit thread, but it looks like it was removed because the guy was spreading false information, more than likely. There are even people here going "lol people are camping out already!" that was posted yesterday, but I highly doubt that is the case. I'm just going to take my chances. No offense, but you can't expect him to answer this. He has already been more than kind in giving us what information he can. I doubt he knows. If you feel this strongly about getting a card that you can put a waterblock on, then maybe you should wait until you know you can gather a card you want for sure. Ive seen pictures the previous two major launches when things were still normal and neither looked terribly bad. I do not expect a turn out like that for this release for a number of reasons. It's releasing during covid era. It's a workday, weekday.  It's a $800 gpu after tax. Will there be a line? Absolutely. But it isnt going to be like some are imagining. One thing thats increasing the anxiety is how poorly the retailers are handling updatea and information regarding the aystems theyll have in place. I am not camping out. Not showing up at midnight. There will be no need.  if i knew how many they were getting, i could compare it to how many people have stated interest in the thread, then extrapolate that out to the 13 million people within an hour/1.5 hour drive. I would say if you are heading towards irvine from any direction maybe avoid 7-8am driving since the 5 and 405 will be an absolute mess, I'm not gonna bother with midnight but prolly 6-7am if we get news 8-9am if we don't but i'll be checking periodically, I just don't like being unable to bayes' it out 0 · Share on FacebookShare on Twitter «1…11121314151617…50» Go Sign In or Register to comment. If you ask me, I'd say it's unlikely we'll have any card on that water block list except possibly the Zotac card. I've never seen us carry the other brands on that list. Obviously I could be wrong about that, but I just don't know. I can only speculate about what our stock will be at this point.  I know everybody wants details but we really don't have the details to provide. I'd be more than happy to give all the specifics but at this point the only information I have to give is what's already been given. FAQ was just updated. 0 · Share on FacebookShare on Twitter CobraKai ✭ September 16 edited September 16 I must went to the Microcenter store in Overland Park, Kansas, they told me they only have 12 cards, EVGA and MSI currently, no FE cards at all. He also told me they have around 60 or so people interested and a bunch are going to camp out starting at 5pm today and then tomorrow right before they open they will hand out the 12 vouchers or more if they get any more 3080s between when I left around 3pm CST until opening.  The issue I see here is that Microcenter won't price match anyone typically unless that store is one of the major online retailers or brick and mortar store and currently at the time of your purchase they have them in stock.  Also, Microcenter typically raises the price a bit more than other brick and mortars on release day because they know they can charge that price and people will still buy them. It thus limits those who are going to resell them on eBay for example in my opinion so that they don't make as much money.  Lastly I ain't waiting no 17 hours in line for anything that I am spending my money on ever. I will wait until I can walk in and buy one off the shelf, I have a 2080ti and it plays everything I play just fine no issues. This 25% increase over the 2080ti that the 3080 they are stating is not worth it to me to even bother with, I will look at the 3090s once the reviews come in to make up my mind then. Good Luck to those who show in the morning, you probably won't get one since there are those who will camp out or get there way early in the morning. How many will you have in stock? A.) We are expecting a very limited quantity of RTX 3080 cards for the launch on Thursday 17th. We anticipate quantities of less than 20 per store.  We are working hard to get these cards in as quickly as possible, and are going above and beyond our normal shipping processes. Q.) How many vouchers will be handed out? A.) Stores will be handing out vouchers for the cards in stock at that location Hopefully this is a little helpful. There's nothing I can say in regards to "what time they're handing them out" or anything like that because that's going to depend on your specific store location. This is, as far as I'm aware, all the information we can provide at this time, and any other questions in regards to specific stock and pricing and such will have to be answered by your local store when the listings go up.  1 · Share on FacebookShare on Twitter TSTonyV admin September 16 Hics said: Wait, is Microcenter really going to price gouge these? Is waking up really really early even going to be worth it? Or will I have much better luck just pressing F5 all day... Also consider that none of that stock will be the higher end variants (FTW3, Rog Strix, AORUS/Master) 0 · Share on FacebookShare on Twitter Ziggy ✭ September 16 who here is going to marietta location? I'm a bit worried that no matter how early I go I won't get a card and don't want to miss out online as well as in-store. 0 · Share on FacebookShare on Twitter shinfo44 ✭ September 16 qwertytheasdf said: shinfo44 said: Man, if it really is less than 20 per store, I have some serious debating to do. Also consider that none of that stock will be the higher end variants (FTW3, Rog Strix, AORUS/Master) I'm honestly kind of ok with that. Some of those higher-end ones are a bit too big for my case anyway. I would be happy with an FTW3, but honestly, if my heart is set on that, then I wouldn't get one for a really really long time because of the demand. 0 · Share on FacebookShare on Twitter Gaming4platinums ✭ September 16 Anyone going to the Fairfax Va location?? I'm hearing that the variants will be overpriced 0 · Share on FacebookShare on Twitter TSTonyV admin September 16 Drew_nickel said: So no Nvidia FE? I'm hearing that the variants will be overpriced No Founders Editions unfortunately, but I would anticipate the pricing of variants to be in line with the previous generation cards. Lower-end models being $30-50 more, higher end models (EVGA FTW3, ASUS ROG STRIX) being ~$100 ish more. I don't know what actual pricing is but considering the MSRP I would expect the same kind of pricing as we saw on the 2080/Super 1 · Share on FacebookShare on Twitter Freshib23 ✭ September 16 I’m here at the store in line waiting and I’m being told the sticker price on the evga that retail 750 is $999 with only 10 cards in stock and 8 people in line 0 · Share on FacebookShare on Twitter «1…12131415161718…50» Go Sign In or Register to comment.
