They've recently gotten really interested in playing simulation games like Rollercoaster Tycoon and Cooking Simulator. They contacted me recently and were distraught that these two games they recently purchased do not run well on the laptop they've been using. As a result, we decided to do a cheap pc build was thrown together for the purposes of their light gaming.$444.94 -

My old gaming PC was outdated, so I decided to sell it and build a new one. I was able to recover $1.3k by selling my old PC plus I saved up a bit, so I went all out on this build. Took a while to put it together, but I got it done. After running some test and game, I was very impressed with the performance. I played APEX and DEAD Space remake at max setting without any issue and the cpu temperture remain below 60C. I am glad I went with water cooling.$3,154.94 -

I am going to fix it up when I upgrade my heatsink. It's currently on stock heatsink that came with the CPU. When I play games, the CPU core temperature is around 55C. It's not a huge problem, but I will definitely upgrade before summer hits. I am using this PC primary for gaming. I have played Wild heart and Apex on this PC. It's running very smoothly even at ultra graphical setting. No lag or drag. Overall, I am very happy with this setup.$1,754.95 -

I dislike naming PC building projects but I'll call this A Bit of Everything because that is exactly what this was intended to be used for as I was selecting components and putting everything together. The primary use will be for educational purposes doing online classes bit it will also be used from time to time for things like light productivity applications (photoshop, video editing, etc) and then also running some non-demanding games. I don't expect this will be used to play anything above 1080p resolution. As far as something I wish was done differently - I now realize that I could have installed more case fans fuctioning as exhaust blowing up and out of the case. But I can always add those later and so far temps and overall airflow have not been a problem at all.$664.95 -
