We rearranged out living room and now have all of our electronics in a minimalist tv stand. As a result, the odd man out was the bulky full tower desktop pc I had been using hooked up to the living room oled tv. But, to view the glass as half full, this rearrangement meant I got to do something I've always wanted to try. Namely, to build a complete pc in the same size as a gaming console. Performance wise, there were no real corners cut because I chose a case that accommodated a relatively large graphics card (EVGA RTX 3070). Temperatures aren't much of a problem because the kinds of games this system plays is pretty casual, such as my kid's current playthrough of the Spyro Reignited Trilogy.$1,096.90 -

I've been wanting to build a new PC for quite some time now, and seeing all the Fractal North builds really pushed me to build one of my own. I set a budget of $1600 for this build and the build was about that much after taxes are included. I went for the white case because most of my furniture is white or wood so it fits in perfectly. I've been using it daily for about a week now and it's been great! Super fast and quiet. I love it!$1,479.92 -

Right now it runs on a 6700XT GPU which is sufficient for most things I'll be doing but I do plan on upgrading this to a 3070 or 4060 sometime in the next couple of months to make this into more of a gaming machine as well. Currently it's more than enough.$1,387.92 -

This is the pc I had after High School I had been saving for a while and then I used grad money to finish the rest. I intended for this PC to be able to handle most of what I throw at it I use things like blender - for 3d modeling / animation / and rigging , OBS for any recording I do, and davinci resolve for video editing. I do also use this pc for my online school work at the moment and its been doing just fine in all these regards. and when the 50 series nvidia GPUs come out I might consider upgrading but I'll see with its pricing for me I do plan on changing the Case and CPU cooler soon though$1,208.92 -

I like playing FPS games like Valorant, but I also like to play strategy games like Civilization or RTS. This is a budget build, and I am hoping to upgrade my CPU and GPU at some point. Currently I play on a 1080p monitor so its FPS is still decent for most games.$977.95 -

After a couple of years of having an SFF gaming build, I decided that I want to go back to ATX. This build is a combination of reusing parts from the past along with black friday buys. I play Overwatch, Counter Strike 2, Valheim, Elden Ring, and lately have been playing all of the Kingdom Hearts game at 4k. The 3070 works well at 4k for me. On less demanding games I can fully saturate my 160hz 4k monitor, and at more intensive games I can reach 80fps with some graphics tweaks. I plan to upgrade to the 5800x3d, and in the future plan to upgrade to the next gen gpu's, but my 3070 has been treating me great so far so not really pressured to upgrade my gpu yet.$1,194.96 -

Recently I had my older brother mention to me that he was interested in building a budget-friendly pc for him sometime soon that would be close to a PS5 in performance. Well, little does he know that the build is now done! And wiring up this desciption is my way of venting some enthusiam about the build wihout actually giving it to him as a gift this Christmas. He specifdically wants to play the first God of War game on pc because he knows it runs a lot better on pc than on console. I went with an Intel i5 12400 cpu because it's was the best performance-to-price product in my price range. But I did have to buy a seperate air cooler. I didn't want to trust that wimpy Intel air cooler than comes in the retail 12400 package. (It looks basically like the same aluminum cooler they've used for years but now have painted it black.)$751.91 -

I strapped the tower to a wheeler so I can vacuum underneath it when I clean my room, it's not truly a mobile gaming PC haha. This build has been working great. I had it for about 4 years, and did the best I could to upgrade it. After years of suffering through ungodly slow daily use, I finally became old enough to get a job. I worked all summer long and saved enough money that I could buy the computer and only spend half of the money I had saved. I decided that I would go all out, in the hopes that this build would last me a long time. I went with, at the time, all the latest and greatest parts that I could buy, without spending so much that I am approaching the point of diminishing returns. And so the Space Heater was born, it keeps me warm during winters and makes me sweat during the summer. Gaming aside, the quality of life of being able to restart your computer in under a minute, not have to wait for 45 minutes to render a single frame in blender, and to just play any game I want without having to think about whether or not I can run it has been absolutely life changing.$1,730.94 -

With online tutorials, I managed to light it up for the first time. I built it during the COVID pandemic, making it challenging to find a graphics card. I settled for a 3700G just to get the PC running. Luckily, I snagged a 3070 Ti FE from Best Buy after lining up all night. I finally completed my rig, and so far, everything is working perfectly for all the games I've played :)$1,139.92
