It's used as a gaming PC to play games like Call of Duty, Overwatch, Rainbow 6 Siege, and so much more. I also use for work, as I am a photographer. All of my work as a photographer is done on my computer from editing photos to updating my website. Another use for my PC is for college. I am currently a college student and do almost all my assignments from my computer, as well as attending zoom classes. My PC has a lot of uses and I wanted one capable of handling games with good quality graphics and high refresh rates, processing thousands of images and work, and for my studies in college. I hope to upgrade things like a bigger SSD, better cooling, and more soon!

I built Aurora Borealis originally to replace my console as the 30 fps in destiny started giving me headaches, I primarily play Destiny 2 or Elder Scrolls Online or the occasional game of call of duty with friends, I do stream some as well, i tend to have issues with quality of the stream if im playing Destiny and call of duty but other games I don't have too many problems with. The cpu I'm using is an i5 9400f that is just a stand in until i can afford an i9 9900k, the motherboard is a gigabyte z390 aorus pro wifi which i dont plan on upgrading anytime soon, I'm running 16gb of Gskill Trident z rgb ram clocked at 3200mhz, my case is the Lian Li o11 dynamic, my cpu cooler is just a cooler master hyper t4 I had from a previous build, the graphics card is an EVGA gtx 1070 (the blower style i originally planned on watercooling but my budget forbade that), for the power supply I went with the Gskill ripjaws PS850P 850w since I didn't want to have to upgrade the psu later, I currently have 2 SSDs(non nvme but 2.5in sata unfortunately) and 2 HDDs totaling to around 4.5tb, I have 3 corsair LL120s I plan to move them back to the top when time permits, 3 of the arctic 120s at the top currently and 2 on my cpu cooler. As for my upgrade path I already said the cpu, and I want to get some more LL120 fans so they all match as well as get some sleeved cables(originally planned to sleeve them myself but couldn't find wiring diagrams for my psu, if someone happens to find it let me know because I still want to sleeve my own cables), I hope to get either an RTX 3070 or 3060 later on, update to an nvme m.2 ssd for my boot drive to remove some of the cable mess, I might get another 16gb kit of trident z memory, I need proper led strips as I repurposed some cheap automotive leds that are controlled from a tiny remote, once I upgrade the gpu I am going to make another acrylic backplate as the one I have already made will more than likely not fit, I plan on getting an aio liquid cooler as well, I might remove my homemade decals and make some new ones but I'm not sure of the theme of the decals I want just yet or more specifically the font for the word aurora. at some point I want to make a custom loop system for Aurora with either light purple or blue pastel coolant. I have 3 different monitors and before anyone says anything I did it on purpose because they each have a purpose left=1440p for content creation, middle=high refresh rate 1080p gaming, right=small display for when I'm streaming old gamecube games. I have the razer Nari essential headphones, blackwidow lite with orange switches, and I do plan on making some resin keycaps, as well as a corsair Dark core pro mouse. I do have a desk boom mic but for the life of me I can't find the box so I don't know exactly what it is. I ended up adding extra dust filters since my computer is near my workshop. It also has an added external power button that I put on the far left of my desk. sidenote:I'm not a great photographer so don't expect too much there.

I needed a rig that could handle playing Beat Saber while running multiple programs, recording with green screen, camera, running PC game, and VR all at the same time. I built this pc because my old computer I had that was prebuilt when I purchased could not handle everything I wanted to do. Before this build, my old pc would keep lagging and I would end up being stressed and not playing after ten minutes. Even though I'll be using it for games, and also office work, it's nice that I now have a pc that will not only let me do anything without it lagging or freezing, but also a pc that I love and built myself from scratch. Emotionally rewarding and satisfying building my first pc! The journey to researching each part, and learning the components are great too. I knew nothing when I started this build. Now I can record/stream the games I love, and able to start recording so I can upload and share on youtube and hopefully on twitch soon (I am "LastFoodBender" in both platforms. Username is LastFoodBender because I love food lol). The games I mainly play are Beat Saber (also other VR games), Destiny 2, Fortnite, Fall Guys, World of Warcraft,Call of Duty (I love zombies). If it wasn't for Microcenter having much better prices than anywhere else I would not have been able to build this, and would have had to settle for lesser parts that I could afford within my budget which may have ended with a pc that was not fast enough to do everything I want. Eventually I would like to upgrade my GPU, get a bigger ssd, and higher psu; for now though, my pc is something I now absolutely love and proud of!

I've been using this build to game, stream online, and do art work (i actually made a custom picture for a coworkers birthday), its been helping me practice and teach myself for what i want my future carrier to be, a graphic designer. in the future id like to upgrade both the CPU and GPU so i can stream at a higher quality or maybe even build a mini ITX PC to handle the stream and this current one to provide the game play.

I have a wide range of games I play, some as simple as Garry's Mod all the way to something unplayable without a ridiculous PC like Star Citizen. Only thing I'd change is the case, no room for a large modular PSU and the drive tray at the same time so for the time being I've ditched the HDD's and am running on only the two M.2 SSD's. I'm planning out another build for a buddy of mine which will essentially be a more polished version of my original with the changes I would've made, going with a Fractal Design Meshify S2 for that one.

Gaming, photo and video editing, spreadsheets, media storage, and more. It's for both business and pleasure, so it's no surprise they needed an i9-9900K and 32GB of memory. That said, they controlled their costs carefully, investing the most in parts with the biggest impact on performance. 'Pragmatic' is the key word here, to the point where we configured their RGB lights to change depending on the temperature. They have plans for upgrading the memory and motherboard in the future, and have a Bluray drive, three hard drives, and two solid-state drives at home in their old machine that they're going to install. They also brought in their new graphics card for us to install as the cherry on top.
