This is my very first build and I wanted it to be a showpiece kinda item on my desk. I was looking around for some ITX form-factor build as space on my desk is limited and I can't fit in an ATX case. I came across this vertical open-air case, Xtia Xproto and I thought it would be the right case for my desk as it also has an artistic look to it. I was initially concerned about sound and dust accumulation. But then I thought the build would look crazy and unique, so I decided to build on/in it. The reason I gave the build a name as Titan BT-7274 is that I loved the AI Robot character in Titan Fall 2 game. And also the build looked to me like a small machine in a few angles, so decided it would be a nice nickname :) Initially, I wanted the build to be pretty basic for the hardware and the configuration. So I started with the AMD 5600x which I thought would be a sweet spot for gaming. For the motherboard, I went with Asus Strix X570-I Gaming. And again I know it's gonna be overkill for a 5600x processor if I am going to use it without overclocking it but thought it's better to go with a fully packed board. One thing to note about this motherboard is if it comes with a bios version lower than 2606 you would require an older gen AMD CPU to update the bios to or higher up than 2606 to make gen3 AMD CPUs work. I started hunting for a graphics card, which is going to be a difficult task for most of us who are planning to build a pc or upgrade an existing one. I initially wanted to stick with Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti FE, but after waiting outside BestBuy during one of the drop days I was only able to grab a 3070 Ti FE, which is kinda an upgrade. And that made me go with Corsair SF750 PSU instead of the SF600. I know for a 5600x CPU and with an open-air case AIO would be overkill, but then I thought I might overclock it someday and I did like the LCD on the NZXT Kraken z53. :P For the RAM I bought a 16Gi Corsair Dominator 3600 16CL kit, but then I thought it would be better to have 32Gi for future-proofing. So returned the 16Gi kit and purchased a 32Gi Corsair Dominator 3600 CL18 kit, I know its latency cycles are bad but if I would have gone with the CL14 kit it was costing me way more than my budget so had to stick with CL18 and I am planning to tweak the timing myself to see if I can get it to CL16. I like to have RGB elements in my build, so have bought a pair of Phanteks Digital RGB Strips. I am going to add them to the edges of the case. Haven't added them to the build yet. One thing I found stressful when building the case was cable management. It was tough for me with the standard length corsair cables. Even though they were pretty flexible, cable management gave me a hard time. Especially with the PCIe cables which had two heads and those SATA cables with 3 heads. :(.

I built this PC because I wanted to make it as equivalent to the next gen consoles, in terms of the specs. Also, I wanted to run the games that I play on max settings on 1080p as well as making sure that it runs upcoming future titles as well. I play Borderlands 3, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, and Halo Infinite. The CPU and GPU are similar to the hardware that's on the PS5 based on what I've read, so I wouldn't have to upgrade for the next eight years until the next generation of consoles are released. I got most of my PC parts for free. The motherboard, PSU, and RAM were given to me from a friend because they said that they had issues with it. The hard drive was ripped from my old prebuilt office PC that I had. The rest I had purchased over time. Upgrades: I'll probably upgrade the PSU soon since I don't know how old it is, but it still holds up. I'll probably get a 2TB hard drive soon since most games nowadays need at least 90GB of storage space. I'll probably get another 16GB kit of RAM since I don't see myself making the switch to DDR5 anytime soon. Maybe I'll upgrade my CPU down the line so that I can get the most high end AMD CPU for DDR4, but that'll mean that I'll have to get an AIO to cool it more efficiently. Regrets: I should've researched a better SSD, since the one that I have right now does not have any DRAM, which means boot times can vary. In addition, I should've researched a better case that has airflow. I have some regret on buying the 5600X because the last AM4 CPUs are going to come out in 2022 and I heard that the refreshed AMD CPUs will have 3D V Cache and I don't if it'll be a noticeable increase in performance. However, I did bought the 5600x for 250 so that should be good. I'll sell my 3400G to one of my friends to offset the price even more.

Needed to upgrade my rig, and managed to get a Ryzen 5 5600 X, but didn't want to wait any longer for a GPU. Playing Overwatch, Doom (2016), and a bunch of other stuff. Really hoping to put a 3070 in it someday so I can play Doom Eternal with higher quality settings.

Previously used i5-4690k and now the well received Ryzen 5800x. After 7 years I decided it was time to upgrade. This computer is meant to be my all in one gaming, work, FTP, and media server. I named it the decade because I expect it last me 10 years given that my old PC lasted 7 and I did not need to upgrade besides the itch to spend some money. I mostly play league of legends hence why I am reusing an old GPU. I cannot find nor afford a new GPU at these prices.

I built this because my old one was pretty old and I play rust, the new world and the hunter mainly playing rust where I was getting low 40 and 50 fps sometimes dropping below 20fps in late stages of the wipe which sucks because you cant even reload your gun when you get below 20fps and because of the GPU shortage (Graphics card) I had to reuse my old EVGA FTW 1070 card until my son upgrades his card then im taking his NVIDIA 2080 liquid cooled GPU now I was shocked with the old GPU 1070 it is a trooper my fps is set at 100fps for rust and with this new setup im running mostly in the 90's fps only dropping into the mid 80's around highly populated areas (high entity count areas) its awesome so even with an older GPU just building around it will help significantly so you may not need a new GPU also
