  My parents are running a 4th-gen Core i5 computer with 8GB of RAM that is really starting to bog down. I started looking... My parents are running a 4th-gen Core i5 computer with 8GB of RAM that is really starting to bog down. I started looking for a replacement computer for them, but was unhappy with the price for performance offered by pre-builds. So, I offered to build them a computer. I think this option ends up giving them the best bang for the buck.

  I built this PC for general purpose usage (web browsing, image editing, software development, maybe some light gaming, etc).... I built this PC for general purpose usage (web browsing, image editing, software development, maybe some light gaming, etc). I'm pretty happy with it overall. My only complaint might be that I can hear the fans quietly whirring when the room is quiet, but I suppose that's to be expected with a mesh case, and it's not really an issue. I will probably add a couple of HDDs from my old computer for additional storage, but the 1TB SSD is plenty of space and super fast. If I decide to get into PC gaming in the future, I will upgrade the graphics card when prices come down; but the T600 seems more than adequate for general usage.
