I decided to just go all out and get mostly ASUS ROG products. Little overkill from what I'm told but I'm really happy with it all. The fact that I switched over from Xbox specifically for VR is hilarious. I will never buy another console. I sadly paid a scalper for my Strix 3090 because I did not want to wait for the unseeable future. Very happy to have the help of Greg and David to help build this monster! Definitely going to update all the wires. Sorry to your eyes >.<

I have been a PC gamer since 1988, and have been building my own PC's for almost 30 years. Recent games I've been playing are Days Gone, The Accent, Red Dead Redemption II, Cyberpunk 2077, Doom Eternal, Mass Effect: Legendary Edition & Control. I don't really have any future upgrades for the rig planned, but I am working on replacing the desk, doing some serious cable management and apparently some dusting after looking at my pictures I submitted.

Left PC gaming back when the XBox first came out and stopped building PC's and just gamed on my XBoxs over the years. This is the first year after having my XBox glod for over 16 years and I am not getting the newest release due to joining back into the PC world. I custom built this PC last spring starting out with an AMD Ryzen 7 and then upgraded the bios on the MSI X470 Gaming Pro MB to allow me to drop the AMD Ryzen 9 3900x in the system. I am running the Crucial Ballistix DDR4-3200 4x8gb ram. As for the Hard drives I have an NVME 1tb, Samsung SSD 860 EVO 500gb, 2x Samsung SSD 860 EVO1 TB, Samsung 8TB external, WD 2TB external, EVGA RTX 2080 TI FTW3, all cooled with a EKWB custom loop with the water block on the GPU and CPU flowing into 2x360mm radiators separate for each unit running the blood red coolant. Power supply is the EVGA SuperNOVA 1300G2. I was able to run some of the black and red cabling but need to order more for the video card. I am also waiting for the 3pin DRGB controller to come back in stock for the LED control for the EKWB water blocks and pump. Hope you enjoy the build. Removed the top and front cover to help with the airflow through the radiators. All of this was build in the NZXT 710i case.

I built this rig for the primary purpose of 4K gaming, VR gaming, and learning overclocking. I built my first computer in 2007 in high school and since have dreamed of building another over the years. Being in school and while working my way up left me barely enough time to sleep and no money to eat. I now finally have the ability to work from home and I wanted to celebrate with a gaming pc. My brothers and best friends are big into gaming and I can finally join them! In process of building this pc I helped both of my brothers and two of my friends build their gaming pc, all with parts from microcenter at St. David’s! We can finally game together, these computers have brought us all together enduring the crazy year. About the build: Since I am a old counsel gamer I wanted my rig to be in my living room. So I paired the system with a 120hz 75” Samsung 4K 8 series tv and a bowers and Wilkins panaorama 2 sound bar. Specs: CPU: Ryzen 5600x GPU: Strix 3090 OC RAM: trident z neo 32gb 3600cl16 Storage: 1tb xpg pcie 4.0 nvme, seagate 3tb hdd PSU: Corsair AX1200 MOBO: Asus TUF x570 plus WiFi Cooling: NZXT x73 Kraken push/pull configuration Case: NZXT H710i black, custom silver cable cover

As a graphic designer with a dying MacBook pro, I desperately needed a replacement for work that could render without lagging and hours of waiting. After a while, I also decided that I wanted to game on that computer, what's the point of having two graphic cards if you won't play a couple of games. Plus, everything looks so impressive on a 5k screen, so crisp! I needed specifics parts that were compatible with Hackintosh; it was a lot of research but fun! This was my first build with a glass panel, and I felt it looked a little sad and empty. Since I also needed a place to store all my little Disney creatures, they all ended up inside it (temperatures are still surprisedly low)!

Red Storm is built on a Gigabyte Z390 Xtreme board with an Intel i9-9900K CPU, 32gig of Corsair Dominator Platinum RGB RAM (3600MHz); 5 Samsung SSD's (2 NVMe, 3 SATA), an AMD Radeon VII GPU. For the OS, I’m running the latest 64-bit version of Windows 10 Pro, ver. 2004, build 19041.388. My Monitor is a 24-inch NEC wide gamut monitor @ 1920 x 1200. I tend to organize my files/media by drives so I use a 512gig NVME 970 Pro for my OS drive, a 1TB 970 Pro NVME for my finalized photos/work images. A 2TB 960 EVO for games, 1TB 860 EVO for music files, and 2 TB 860 EVO for on-site minor backups. This is a multimedia build used for photo editing via Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop, gaming (Division 2, Metro Exodus, Skyrim), audio rips (dBpoweramp), music streaming (Plex, JRiver Media Center), and school/work (Office 365). While the system is capable of overclocks of 5.1gig, I keep it at base settings (XMP enabled) to not only insure stability, but quietness. It’s is housed in a Cooler Master H500M (mesh front) case, which has 3 case fans – a real Corsair 140mm ML (Magnetic Levitation) RGB fan, two front stock Cooler Master 200mm LED fans. The CPU cooler is a Corsair H115i Pro RGB platinum AIO with two stock 140mm ML RGB fans. The 1000-watt EVGA power supply has an Eco mode that prevents the fan from running unless the power supply is pushed. And the AMD Radeon VII (16gig of HBM VRAM) has 3 stock 75mm fans that constantly run but are silent unless pushed as in gaming (Example Division 2). The end result is an incredibly quiet build that keeps temps at bay (idle 30, loads 78ish while gaming). My room ambient temps average 76F/25C (78 summer, 74ish winter) Also connected to the PC is a Teac UD-503 USB DAC which has inputs for USB, Analogue, and Digital. I USB for clean musical sounds, and the motherboard’s built in ESS Sabre HiFi DAC (using Realtek drivers) for gaming or YouTube. I'm really happy with this build :)

Walking through Micro Center one day to get a new fan for my good old Raidmax Smilodon case and made the mistake of walking past the cases, saw a core P3 black on the shelf and had to build one for myself, and so it began, which color which was a back and forth decision for some time. Had to bail on building it few times due to other circumstances and just kept researching and getting parts over I would say 2 to 3 years, some accessories are past over from last build though. Built it for gaming and just general use, do a little go-pro video editing from time to time. Really do not have any upgrade plans for the tower at this time but we all know how fast that can change. Definitely would like to in time upgrade old been through it all desk that started as a U desk and due to space keeps getting smaller and also some better cable management for the desk. Custom loop would also be a possible upgrade but do not like the idea of constantly changing the coolant and I like simple (LOL) so to be determined, that being said next will more then likely be VR. Types of games really I am all over the place, it is really whichever I got hooked on for the moment. Forth build I have technically done but always had a sidekick that honestly knows much more and this one is the first I was solo on other then texting questions and thoughts to said sidekick <(leader of what to get and do)(LOL), also is where the Klipsch 5.1 came from (great friend).

It was the last piece missing from my man cave. I wanted a clean build but powerful at the same time. I set the build up with dual 1440p ultrawide 100hz viewsonic monitors and an extra long hdmi to my 75” Samsung tv that is connected to my surround system via arc to the marantz receiver. This setup allows me to game at my desk or kick back on the couch with a controller. I also got a oculus quest with oculus link to play beat saber and Half Life Alyx!! I chose a EVGA 2080ti FTW3 ultra Oc to power all the monitors and TVs. I have made so many trips to microcenter during the building process I have become a regular and familiar with most of the associates at the St David’s location, btw they all rock! The complete specs are below: CPU: Ryzen 3600x Cooler: wraith prism GPU: evga 2080ti ftw3 ultra Oc RAM: trident z neo 3600 cl 16, 32gb Storage: nvme pcie 4.0 1tb, nvme pcie 3.0 1tb, seagate hdd 3tb 7200 Case: NZXT h710i VR: oculus quest connected via oculus link Monitors: 2x Viewsonic xg350r-c 1440p ultrawide, Samsung 75” 4K 7series Sound system: marantz 6008 receiver, dual mono block amps for front towers. Haven't had a capable gaming pc in over 10 years and haven't actually built systems in over 20 years (my bro and I used to as teenagers). When my wife gave birth to our second son and we got a nice tax refund, my wife gave me the all-clear to get myself a new system. Bought a prebuilt at first but due to problems with the system and poor customer service, I returned it and got to researching my own build. The system started off on a Gigabyte board and NZXT case, but after more problems with certain parts, I ended up with an almost completely Corsair build. Out of all of the customer service issues I had to deal with, they are simply the best: no hassle, no run around, just fast RMA. As for the system, I use it to play mostly single player RPGs or FPS games. I love the Metro series, Divinity games, The Witcher games, Resident Evil, BattleTech and MechWarrior, Tomb Raider, Assassin's Creed, Far Cry, Deus Ex, and so many others. Recently I played most of the latest games with real time ray traced effects and I'm eagerly anticipating where the technology is heading. Really looking forward to a couple of other games that will feature the technology in Cyberpunk 2077 and Vampire Bloodlines 2. Also really looking forward to Baldur's Gate 3. Currently enjoying Season 2 of The Division 2 with my brother, and really hoping that the next Control DLC will feature Alan Wake as many expect it to be! In the future, I hope to install a hard line custom loop, likely in the Hydro X series since I already have a Commander Pro and have already installed a soft tube Hydro X loop for a friend. Sadly, I can't find a water block for my card (they appear to be EOL both at EVGA and EKWB - Corsair doesn't make one for my model), so if I want to go custom loop, I'll probably have to get a new card. Otherwise, I don't really plan any other upgrades until I replace the system maybe in five years, especially since Z390 is also the end for upgrades.

He was given a budget of $5,000 and he was able to use the brand new Intel 9900KS processor. Linus decided to use the Asus TUF Gaming GT501 case with Corsair RGB fans. He built a very powerful PC including 2 Nvidia RTX 2080 TI graphics cards. Linus put this system together in our workshop and decided he wanted to sell it. With limited time left in the day, he priced this $5,000 PC at small discount for $20! The lucky customer who first noticed this PC was purchasing it as a birthday gift for her brother. Unfortunately Linus was not able to accept credit card payment at his cardboard stand, so he knocked another $5 off the price. With $15 cash in hand, he headed to Carl's Jr. after a successful, hard day of work! Thanks so much to Linus for coming out and filming in our store. We had a blast and can't wait for the next time you're in town! To see the full video visit Linus' channel here: https://youtu.be/5rwYjRzLHHI
