As a graphic designer with a dying MacBook pro, I desperately needed a replacement for work that could render without lagging and hours of waiting. After a while, I also decided that I wanted to game on that computer, what's the point of having two graphic cards if you won't play a couple of games. Plus, everything looks so impressive on a 5k screen, so crisp! I needed specifics parts that were compatible with Hackintosh; it was a lot of research but fun! This was my first build with a glass panel, and I felt it looked a little sad and empty. Since I also needed a place to store all my little Disney creatures, they all ended up inside it (temperatures are still surprisedly low)!$5,590.61 -

This is a top of the line Intel based gaming behemoth. All of the components were chosen because they were, and still are, top of the line for a gaming rig. The customer brought the machine in this year for a water cooling upgrade. Planning for the custom loop was rather difficult, as the open air design of the case does not leave very many mounting options. The final result was well worth the effort. The case used for this build is the InWin D-Frame 2.0, which comes equipped with a built in 1065w power supply.$4,940.51 -

I have a wide range of games I play, some as simple as Garry's Mod all the way to something unplayable without a ridiculous PC like Star Citizen. Only thing I'd change is the case, no room for a large modular PSU and the drive tray at the same time so for the time being I've ditched the HDD's and am running on only the two M.2 SSD's. I'm planning out another build for a buddy of mine which will essentially be a more polished version of my original with the changes I would've made, going with a Fractal Design Meshify S2 for that one.$4,574.84 -

I started building this machine 2 years ago, and have upgrading part by part until I got to where I am now. I built this monster PC mainly for gaming, with the SUPER light YouTube production on the side. I play anything from Forza Horizon 4, to Fortnite, to Immortals: Fenyx Rising. I also take the road down nostalgia lane and play some Bloons TD6. Although gaming is its main purpose, I'm doing online school on it too, as I do not own a laptop. As for future upgrades, I'm looking into waiting until DDR5 becomes mainstream, as both my motherboard and CPU are perfectly fine right now. I could go with an i9 10900K or a R7 5800X, but that's just not worth my money for the maybe 10-15% performance uplift. If anyone is wondering how the GPU hybrid kit does, I have never seen the GPU core above 50-55 degrees C when playing games (keep in mind, the fans are only running at about 40-50%, so its nice and quiet too). As for the Galahad AIO I have in here, it cools my 5GHz 9700k very well, have never seen it above 70 degrees C. Don't mind my crummy cable management, this case is good, but not stellar for cable management. But then again, I do have extension cables so 100% of the regular PSU cables in the back of the case.$4,542.91 -

I built this gaming rig because I like to play games without any restrictions. My Xbox and PS4 are paper weights now. With the release of GeForce RTX 3090, I'm already looking forward to my next build. Currently playing Destiny 2, The Division 2, Borderlands 3, Madden and some World of Warcraft.$4,327.73 -

I built this system to because I built one for a buddy of mine and had too much fun doing it so i decided to build one of my own. Micro Center in Columbus Ohio did the hard line tubes for me. I wish I would've waited to get an AMD to drop the 3000 series of CPUs. The only things I didn't list where my Ducky One 2 Mini, and the custom cables from CableMod and Dream Cables. I have a 2080 Super listed but I only have a 2080 Founders, and a the block from Corsair listed is for a 2080ti but its the standard 2080 block.$3,859.75 -

This is the 3rd iteration ( still being built actually ) of the "Game Room". This station will focus on "player 1" as we have 3 in the room. The purpose it to achieve all aspects of what you need to work, and Game with friends. Player 1 is built to playing Apex Legends, and doing remote work for the office. Specs: Custom Hard Tube Water cooling, Core I7 9700k with Thermaltake water block, 16GB Corsair RGB Pro, Asus 850 Watt PSU, Asus Strix 1080Ti with Thermaltake Waterblock, Asus 32 inch curved 1440 144hz screen, 2x AOC 144hz 27 inch curved screens. Apple MacBook Pro 16 ( 32gb, core i9 8 core, 2TB ) connected to Razer Core X Chroma for screen output. Custom Desk. Things to do... waiting for the 3 series of Nvidia, So any winnings would go there but the room also isn't done yet so lots left to do. Build Process: Custom Hard tubing is a fun thing to learn. Ive redone the tubing about 5 times now getting better with each iteration (Most recently changed yesterday with the adding of the Asus power supply and reworking of tubes for "neater" bends. The whole room is taking about 2 months to complete so far. It should be done in about 2 more weeks ( So far we are on week 6 )$3,623.87 -

I plan to stream soon when I'm ready. I made the rig to be able to run most games on high to ultra settings with little to no problems. And so far it has stuck to that. This was my first custom rig, built originally for light gaming, but morphed into a much more complex and powerful build (and more expensive) that I originally planned. I may have sacrificed a bit in performance for aesthetic, as water cooling and high-end RGB components are not cheap. I currently play games such as Red Dead Redemption 2, Assassins Creed: Odyssey, Monster Hunter: World, the Dishonored franchise, GTAV, and plan on getting Cyberpunk 2077 when it releases. I am in the process of upgrading my GPU from the 980ti to a RTX 2070 Super, and recently upgraded my monitors from a 24" LG 1080p 70Hz and Asus 27" 2k 60Hz to dual LG Ultragear 27" 144hz 1440p monitors. Sadly, with the GPU upgrade, I will be converting from water cooling to all air cooling, with plans to add an AIO CPU cooler down the road.$3,605.92 -

The main use for this rig will Freelance UX/UI Design with a little bit of gaming as well. I've been a Mac user for 15 years and only used PC off and on to casually game. Now that I work-from-home almost exclusively and 2012 was the last time you could buy an upgradable Macbook Pro, I've decided to jump ship and move to something I can actually upgradable and more powerful. I'm very pleased with this setup, it has lots of power, memory, and storage. I am able to have tons of design applications and browser windows open with no performance issues. Now I just need to get used to Window's CTRL vs Mac's CMD which is in the same spot as ALT. The first day using this for my design work I hit ALT+Z about 400 times which brings up Geforce Experience overlay. LOL I built this computer using Micro Center's Custom PC Builder, reserved my parts online, and picked up my parts hours later. Pretty cool being able to put together a complete build and pick up your parts the same day. The Custom PC Builder has compatibility filters so it only shows parts that will work together based on your selections. Although build this computer myself because I really enjoy the building process. For a small fee, Micro Center offers a building service which they will put together the hardware, and make sure it posts. For a bit extra cost they can even install Windows, appropriate drivers, and make sure it's up and running before you pick it up. You could literally pick out your parts on a lunch break and pick up a working computer after work, they just need a 4-hour window to build it.$3,227.88 -
