I initially planned to upgrade an old HP Compaq for gaming and to use graphic design software. I intend to play Overwatch, Halo, Kingdom Hearts, Splitgate and more. For graphic art I'm mainly interested in digitizing embroidery files and want to make stickers and pins. After getting some help, I realized it would probably be better to build from scratch. I would have loved to keep my original case since I painted it pink and cut out a Jigglypuff silhouette but the CPU cooler and graphics card were too wide to fit. I do like the sleeker look of the new case but in hindsight I should have waited until I had the parts before customizing the case. I did go back to the store a week after building the PC to get more RAM more for cosmetic reasons than needing an extra 16gb. It took about 5 hours to build because I would rearrange how the things were and connecting the rgb cables was a bit confusing. Cable management wasn't too difficult but involved a lot of reworking how I initially connected everything. Next time I'll work on Cable management as I'm building. In general, I should have done more research before starting the build process because it would not turn on when I had finished. I realized one of the power cables was not fully plugged in after checking the cables for everything else first. In the end, it was a fun project and I inspired my boyfriend to want to build a gaming PC for himself.

When I was in school for LAN WAN Administration we were given an assignment to build a PC on paper for a customer so I did. The teacher was impressed with my build it was basically a gaming PC. The class was puzzled and asked me why did I build a gaming PC with such high specs I simply told them because I want the customer to be able to do anything with this PC. At that time I only had experience with pre builds I knew I was destined to build my own at that point so I did and hear it is.

Most recent build a few years back utilized a 7700k paired with a 1080 TI and so I wanted to try an AMD CPU. Really fun building this one and I’m really pleased with the performance. I primarily wanted to have a build focused on gaming (Call of Duty, Borderlands 3, Battlefield, and other upcoming games) but also will need to support virtual machines and possibly video rendering. Also wanted room to overlock in the future. No problems with temps while gaming, pretty much upper 60’s c to 70’s c. *Samsung 960 Pro m.2 taken from my other build to use as a boot drive for OS (OS boot times are very fast). Used the Lian Li SL 120 fans for the case and Kraken Z73 (the daisy chaining is pretty cool). I do want to note that the case fans RGB cables are plugged into the fan controller that the 3x fan pack comes with, which is then plugged into the internal USB header (fan cables are then connected to fan ports on motherboard). The AIO is connected to CPU OPT and the radiator fans are connected to CPU Fan. Although the motherboard will fit in the standard Lian Li Dynamic case, I wanted more space (especially with the thicker PSU cables of the EVGA P2 1000!) so I opted for the XL. Highly recommended with the eATX board. Also happened to walk into Microcenter which had the RTX 3080 TI in stock, so I was glad to pick that up :).

I built this rig because I have a passion for building Pcs and wanted to take advantage of downtime during the pandemic as I figured if not now then when? It had been about 11 years since I built a rig for myself though I have built a few for others over that period of time. Coming from a 1st Gen Sandybridge 2700K (which still works perfectly might I add.) This thing is pure beast, my only regret is that I didn't build a Ryzen Threadripper. I build mobile apps, websites and graphic design, also do a little music production. In this build I have a: Ryzen 9 5950x recently upgraded from 3900x Asrock Taichi x570 MB Asrock 5700xt tiachi 64GB x Gskill trident ram @ 3600mhz 3x 980 PRO PCIE 4.0 NVME 1x team group ssd 6x Thermaltake pure rgb fans 2x 360mm radiators Phantek Evolv X with custom front panel Cable mods cable extensions Custom loop Would like to upgrade graphic card to 6900xt or 3090. In hindsight would have went with a different case I also play Ghost Recon in my spare time, and this system run amazingly.

I primarily built this PC for a VR race sim setup, but I also use it for regular gaming, school (especially CAD modeling), running my Plex server, and just general use. The goal is to run games like Assetto Corsa on my HP Reverb G2 with good details and solid FPS, but I haven't been able to test it just yet as I'm waiting for some other parts for my sim setup. Outside of that, this PC can handle just about anything you throw at it; when playing Metro Exodus on max settings, fully ray-traced, and 'Quality' DLSS, it rarely drops below 100 FPS on 1440p. And of course, if it can handle that game that well, everything else is a walk in the park. When playing one of my favorite games of all time, Dark Souls 3, with all settings maxed, it sits right at the built-in FPS cap (60 FPS, i cry) and just ~31% GPU utilization even with other programs running on my other monitors (usually Discord and a browser). The only things I'd really consider changing with this build are (1) a nicer motherboard and (2) a PSU with 3 PCIe plugs for future-proofing.

This is my first gaming build back from 2012 I mostly just play rocket league and whatever else now. Through time and upgrades it doesn't really have any of the original parts anymore but over the years its at this current stage. I bought a water block for my 1070 around 5 years ago because I always wanted to water cool my PC. Never got around to it, but the idea was always in the back of my head. Until recently I said screw it and went for it when I upgraded my cpu to a ryzen 5 5600x. I think I bit off a little more than I could chew with this small of a case and my first time water cooling. But it was well worth the frustrating, but fun process and I learned a lot. In the future I would like to definitely add another radiator in the front of the case for a little better cooling. Also would want to re-do some of the tube's and maybe buy a jig to get better looking bends. Also maybe get custom cables for better looks and shorter length because the back of the case is a little messy. And whenever I do this again I would measure everything more I got lucky in some spots that are pretty tight.

I originally had a rig that I built over 7 years ago and felt it was about time to upgrade, but this time, I wanted something that was a little more eye catching and clean. It use to be mainly for gaming but as time went on and my kids have grown up, I’ve moved onto building them their own rigs and have had less time to enjoy my own, but had to have the best looking one, as I am dada. I managed to find most of the parts for this build during peak of the pandemic, so I feel it is really special to me to have finished it during that time, but I am still on the hunt to find myself a Vision card to complete the look I originally wanted.

I originally got into PC gaming around 4 years ago, and I started out with a crappy ASUS laptop that wasn't even meant to handle games and a wireless mouse that I borrowed from my mom. After a while I got a new keyboard/mouse and a good ROG monitor. Then I finally got rid of the ASUS laptop and got a MSI gaming laptop for X-Mas 2 years ago, which after expanding the range of games I played, couldn't handle some of the games. So that's when I started to think about getting a PC. So for Christmas and my birthday I saved up everything and spent months researching. Now this is my first build and also my first tower so I was a bit confused here and there with certain parts but I think it turned out all right, I mean it turns at least so that's something.

This PC was originally made for gaming but turned into my everything rig such as photo editing, professional work (teletherapy), and light streaming. I play Tarkov, League, CSGO, Apex when I have time. I was inspired by Bitwit to make my build aesthetic and settled on a black and white color scheme. I started off with a red color scheme with a 3600, a MSI Ventus 2060, and a cheapo ASRock x570 board all in a NZXT H510. Kyle's videos had me slowly upgrading each part as I became more knowledgeable of PC parts. I love how far it has come (check the last pic for what it used to look like).

Built for my birthday of 2021 , this PC was loaded with the best looking components that I could find within reason for a high refresh rate ultrawide 1440p gaming focused rig. Replacing my 2015 MacBook pro 15 ;) I was Hoodwinked into the world of pc gaming and the many branches that it contains such as keyboards, headphones, mice and monitors etc. It was an absolute blast to build and I am personally most proud of the GPU... I camped for 12 hours for it at my local BB for it. Temps are under 75 C for both gpu and cpu running all but the most demanding games... looking at Cyberpunk... at max settings. This build is my pride and joy and will bring me fun for years to come.

I mainly built this rig to play games such a Minecraft, Valorant, GTA 5,ect. This is my third pc ,but the first I build on my own. My first was a $600 dollar prebuild that i returned in the first week, my second was a starter build my friend build for me and was roughly $800. Now i have this system i'm showing you. My z73 has cables coming off the pump and i couldn't route them anywhere else due to the cables being to short. The pink and blue theme i wend with was mainly because of the gif I have on the z73. The 2070 I painted with my brother using engine enamel spray paint. The pc came out pretty good in my opinion and works fine for everything i do. MY FANS COST MORE THAN MY CPU :(.

I recently got back into PC building in 2020 (Last Build was 2012) and a friend told me about these youtubers that have build guides so I checked out Jayz2cents, and quickly found myself subscribing to Bitwit, Pauls Hardware, GamersNexus, Austin Evans, and of course Linus Tech Tips. I was hooked and really appreciate how all of these channels try to vary their content but all exist in the same space in a friendly way. I've built 6 systems for friends and family since then and most recently updated my personal system which is the white and black system in the O11 Mini. This system was upgraded after I camped out at Microcenter in January 2021 and was lucky enough to get an RTX 3070 Strix White Edition. The Lian Li TU150 was the 1.0 version of this computer before the 3070. I had purchased an ASUS Strix RTX 2060 Super but sold it last summer after I got the 3070. So hopefully that makes sense why I needed to upgrade to a case with better Air flow. The ITX build was fun but just was a hot box!
