Apparently, 11 out of 10 case mods currently are Cyberpunk 2077 themed, so I guess if you can't beat 'em, join 'em. Of course, it had to be water cooled, too, and I haven't water cooled a system since the days of cutting your own window in a beige case and milling your own waterblocks. Thankfully, though, The days of shopping the plumbing department of Ace Hardware are a thing of the past, and I can just walk into a store and pay an entire seperate computer's worth of money for premade stuff! Having a 3d printer department in a store that's not located on a starship somewhere in the future was also amazingly helpful, and made the relearning curve of this entire mod bananas. Now I have an entirely new hobby that my wife can yell at me for enjoying. My initial vision was of a custom reservoir with a cyborg floating inside, with blood red fluid running through the tubes, like the sci-fi movie cliche where swimming in goo replaces all hospital beds, but then i realized that this is not my day job, so i improvised and bought a kit. I mean, what's a cyberpunk theme without a bubbling vat of person? The future is also shaped like a hexagon, so I added an aluminum hexagon pattern to the front panel of my case, and partly on top. I added 40 caliber shells with magnets inside, to the back panel for extra awesome. I've been eye-balling the Phanteks Enthoo 719 for some time, because I love full tower cases, and this sucker is a beast. Also, who has 2 thumbs and finally saved up enough money for a 2080 ti 2 months before the 30xx series is released? Oh yeah, this guy! Honestly, the card was worth the long wait, and chugs along maxed out at 4k, at around 37 degrees. Now all that was left was to bleed the system for a week straight, and add a half gallon of water to an improvised vase on the top of my case. This adventure is not for the faint of heart, and gives me nightmares, but the enthoo 719 weighs about as much as a Space X Falcon Heavy, so it should hold. The logo, fan grill, and cylinder base were all printed with a Creality CR-10. The base is just an enlarged fan grill available on Thermaltake's website. Homage paid to Akira and Elysium in the form of exoskeleton spine parts used as a cable cover.$3,973.82 -

He wanted to build a new system and give his old one to his sister. He didn't keep up with hardware news so he didn't know what to purchase and also didn't want to do the build by himself, so he asked me to help him. Build is used for gaming and school, and possibly streaming in the future. He is also considering video editing as a possible use for his system. To that end, I advised him to go with AMD and in the end, he just went with everything that I recommended. I'm a bit surprised that he wanted to go with water cooling, and honestly, it was my first time ever doing a custom loop for anyone. I wish that I had more time to polish the build (and manage the cables better), but I had to work at his place and be home at a reasonable time. Since he was a bit far away, I could only manage two visits: one for building the system itself and one for installing the soft tube loop when the parts finally arrived.$4,094.93 -

The main use for this rig will Freelance UX/UI Design with a little bit of gaming as well. I've been a Mac user for 15 years and only used PC off and on to casually game. Now that I work-from-home almost exclusively and 2012 was the last time you could buy an upgradable Macbook Pro, I've decided to jump ship and move to something I can actually upgradable and more powerful. I'm very pleased with this setup, it has lots of power, memory, and storage. I am able to have tons of design applications and browser windows open with no performance issues. Now I just need to get used to Window's CTRL vs Mac's CMD which is in the same spot as ALT. The first day using this for my design work I hit ALT+Z about 400 times which brings up Geforce Experience overlay. LOL I built this computer using Micro Center's Custom PC Builder, reserved my parts online, and picked up my parts hours later. Pretty cool being able to put together a complete build and pick up your parts the same day. The Custom PC Builder has compatibility filters so it only shows parts that will work together based on your selections. Although build this computer myself because I really enjoy the building process. For a small fee, Micro Center offers a building service which they will put together the hardware, and make sure it posts. For a bit extra cost they can even install Windows, appropriate drivers, and make sure it's up and running before you pick it up. You could literally pick out your parts on a lunch break and pick up a working computer after work, they just need a 4-hour window to build it.$3,227.88 -

This is the full components list for the PC Linus assembled in our Denver, Colorado store for his video about the new AMD Ryzen Threadripper 3990x processor. In his video, Linus was tasked with assembling the following components to create an extremely powerful $10,000 workstation PC. The AMD Ryzen Threadripper 3990x just launched yesterday on February 7, 2020. This processor has 64 cores, 128 threads, and 256mb cache. Linus made some alterations to the build on day of filming in order to water-cool the GPUs. He had a time crunch, but he got it done, and we really love the finished product!$10,808.41 -

The system was originally built for benching in overclocking competitions, specifically for CPU and memory overclocking. It has since been used for general web browsing and gaming, with some performance tweaking going on every now and then when I get the urge. I can bench the delidded 8700k at 5.4ghz (Thermal Grizzly Conductonaut on the die) in Cinebench and my memory runs stable at DDR4 4000 C15-15-15-30 with a Command Rate of 2. tREFI at 65535 and tRFC at 300. Every single timing has been tightened to their limits, from primaries all the way down to the last tertiary timing. RTL and IO-L values have been manually dialed in to prevent the RAM from training outside of my specifications. Currently, the least impressive aspect of my system is the graphics card. It's a stock RTX 2080 Ti using a reference PCB and modded to use my old 1080 Ti FTW3 Hybrid cooler. Anything is possible with a rotary tool. I plan on using a custom Heatkiller Pro IV block to replace the FTW3 hybrid cooler and eventually mod the card to support a higher power limit through shunt mods. My cooling solution is quite overkill, hence the name of this build. My CPU water block is a Heatkiller Pro IV. My loop has a massive 1260mm radiator with 18 Corsair ML140 fans in a push-pull configuration. My water never exceeds the ambient air temperature in my room. It's for this exact reason that I am able to bench my processor as high as 5.4ghz, and run at 5.1ghz stable under load. I use a standard EKWB D5 Liang pump which has a high enough flow rate to move the liquid through my radiator. To top everything off, I use a little pink desk fan to keep my motherboard VRM's cool under this heavy load. If it looks stupid but works, it's not stupid.$4,067.68 -
