My initial motivation for building this PC two years ago was the anticipated release of Microsoft Flight Simulator. I had been playing other simulators for many years before then and wanted an upgrade for the new intense game. I've been wanting an upgrade from my Dell Optiplex retrofitted with a GTX 1050 Ti for a while, but this pushed me to actually go ahead and do it. I still play Microsoft Flight Simulator to this day, but most of my time on this machine has shifted to software engineering and, incidentally, developing addons for the simulator. I am a computer science student and use this computer to compile Rust libraries, run simulations in Python, and develop websites. A year after getting this computer, I replaced the stock heat sink on my RTX 2080 Super with an NZXT Kraken, and it was totally worth it as I haven't had any problems with thermals since then and the computer is pretty darn quiet. The only upgrade that I see myself making in the foreseeable future is a kit of custom white cables along with a modular PSU to replace the horrendous ketchup and mustard powering the rig.$1,732.91 -

Hello, this is the Water Hashira, chose his name due to this being my first ever attempt at water cooling and I'm a fan of Demon Slayer. The main reason for my build was to upgrade from my prebuild Ailenware that's been doing right by me for so many years. The second reason, after watching so many Youtube videos with hard tube water cooled builds, the urge to give it a shot myself grew into what you see today. This was my first ever attempt at a water cooled, hard tubed build, and it was challenging and frustrating sometimes. Oh it was so satisfying seeing the leak test pass, and filling the loop. I mainly game on my PC, while also using it to complete school work and other tech labs to improve skills. My main games right now are League of Legends, Fortnite, Warzone, Spellbreak, and Overwatch. I also stream on twitch from time to time, twitch.com/handsomemumbler, if anyone ever wanted to check out some ok gameplay and chat. In hindsight, and anyone else thinking of giving water cooling a shot use my mistake for your gain, I would of only leak tested with air and not coolant or water. I was not aware of an air leak tester at first and trust me when I say my heart was in my stomach during my first leak test. Use an air tester!$2,169.91 -

I'm actually submitting this build while my girlfriend is laying on the hospital bed in front of me having her first contractions going into labor. This is one of the main reasons The Kraken was built. I wanted to have a quick home PC that would able to handle major video edits for our daughter and family growing up. I also enjoy playing games from time to time and if you aren't on max settings, well you aren't playing it right! I look forward to this PC serving my familys home video edits and my gaming habits for years to come.$2,599.89 -

Computers and gaming are my passion. This year I finally got my wife into PC gaming. This setup is a His/Her setup to reflect each of our personalities, favorite colors, and design language. It celebrates our individuality while also bringing us together. I will do a separate submission highlighting HER rig. Our Main Game Currently: Call of Duty Modern Warfare. I am working on getting her into RPG games like Diablo III, & The Witcher, as well as strategy games like the Total War Series. The goal of my rig was to get everything to match and sync. Everything in my setup is Razer themed, and ALL my lighting syncs through Synapse. I went with AMD for the first time in 15 years because the Ryzen chips are trouncing anything Intel has for most tasks. I just got my Philips Hue Hub and plan on either getting play bars, or their light strip for my desk lighting as that will also sync with Synapse.$2,832.37 -

Thanks to Nvidia's GameStream and the Awesome guys at moonlight. I'm able to stream from the ITX Rig to phone, laptops, & TVs via the moonlight app. Streaming Project Cars 2, TitanFall2, GTA 5, StarWars Battlefront II, Fallout 4, Destiny 2 over Ethernet or WIFI, I'm usually either 2k@144p or 4K@60p, Ultra settings. Also, the typical Bitrate of the stream over WIFI is usually 100 Mbits/s. Next up, will compare raw performance between my main computer (Macbook Pro with eGPU) vs ITX Rig. More future projects to come. Few Lessons learned: 1) Distilled Water......🙌🏾. So doing custom loops you learned quickly it's better to be safe and use non-conductive water. Saved me many times. 2) Fans Step Up and Step Down...Please set this option.....it helps soo much to stabilize temperatures. With this option set to 0, temperatures would never stay consistent on idle. 😔 3) Graphite Thermal Pad is good enough. Some of the best paste used: MX2, MX4, IC Diamond, Noctua are all great choices. Graphite helps to keep it clean, no paste mess. 🙄 4) Rollercoaster relationship with water cooling. Love to tinker, So pulling stock cooler from PCD, and installing water block was awsome....👏🏾. Getting all the air pockets out of the system sucks. And pouring water over electronics and seeing a drop of water anywhere is scary 😳😓. 5) Using water temperature sensors to relay temps to the motherboard. This allows me to set the fan controls for the GPU. Future Upgrades: 3950X or 3900XT, Waiting on the new AMD APUs, Quick disconnects, External Water Flow Sensor.$1,314.96 -

This build has kinda taken on a life of its own and I am nowhere near done with it. At first I was going to get an AIO and then decided to go the custom loop route, I will be adding another radiator and liquid cooled GPU when the new Nvidia cards launch. I will also be working on some mods for the case as well for the first time, cutting a acrylic panel and using it for pass through fittings to run water lines behind the case and for a cleaner look as well.$4,605.44 -

There were multiple reasons why I went forward with building this when I did – one of them being for remote working purposes as I am a Graphic Designer full-time for a company in New York City. I would be lying to you if I said I didn’t have streaming and playing video games on the list of reasons why also! Part of me wishes I went with the EVGA RTX 2080 TI XC Ultra GPU rather than my 2080 Super but I’m not complaining. I know I’ll eventually upgrade to a dual SLI at one point or another but with that, I’ll probably need a bigger computer case and a higher wattage power supply. Also going to get another M.2 SSD for my motherboard since two are compatible. I stream a variety of games Part-Time on Facebook and love interacting with new gamers in the chat!$3,231.85 -

I built Ernie because my old PC could not handle everything I wanted to do. I know, sounds pretty generic. This was a huge build for me. I have lived my whole life using low end, or very old hand-me-down parts. I had built a brand new PC before but it was entry-level at best, and I was not smart and favored looks over performance. I learned my lesson and buckled down and saved every penny one summer. I was going to spare no expense. RGB and looks were low on the list, but still very important. I was going for a Storm Trooper theme PC, and I think that turned out. I wanted the maximum performance possible, fast storage, and lots of it. The latest graphics and features and the RTX 2080 Super from EVGA fit the bill nicely. I wanted the CPU to have at least 8 Cores, so it would excel at recording and streaming. I was originally looking for the PC O-11 Dynamic, but it required fans and water cooling looks sick in that case, but I don't plan to do a custom loop, anytime soon. The Fractal Design Meshify C, it has good thermals and even better looks. It is pretty small for an ATX chassis. The biggest reason I built Ernie, was so I could start doing Youtube, and Streaming. My old PC could not handle gaming and recording at the same time, and struggled to run most games at 1440p/60FPS. I am looking to upgrade my monitor to an LG UltraGear IPS 144hz QHD Monitor. I also am looking to upgrade the AMD Stock Cooler to a Be Quiet! Dark Rock Pro 4, because the stock cooler is super loud. I need to add more fans to further improve thermals, I am looking at some Corsair HD120's those look nice and perform well. If you read this far, Thank You, and maybe subscribe to my new YT Channel, QuackoOperator, I have already posted a video about this PC and I hope to continue to grow the channel and make some gaming content in the future. I want to make a series on F1 2020, maybe some Nascar Heat 5, and other racing games and shooter games such as COD: MW/Warzone.$1,807.91 -
