  I was working in California at the time, and had my gaming PC there. When flying back to Massachusetts, I didn't have a PC... I was working in California at the time, and had my gaming PC there. When flying back to Massachusetts, I didn't have a PC to game on, and I just felt with the new generation of parts, it was time to build a new one. So, I took the leap and decided to start compiling a new, upgraded rig for when I would fly home! The main components are an i7-10700k and a MSi Gaming X Trio 3070 at the heart of the project. I was lucky enough to get a 3070 through notification at around 3 in the morning. Thus, my 2020 "away" build was born and has been a delight to game on since!

Going for all dark and mostly non-RGB. Waiting for GPU card, so using integrated Intel UHD630. Mostly play retro games from the 90s for now and Terraria and StarDew Valley. When GPU arrives, any Triple Fan 3070 at this point, then competitive gaming like Apex Legends. Currently has 280 AIO from EVGA to keep that i7 10700K cool running at a +1 offset all turbo boost of 4.8 and 1-2 core boost to 5.2 ghz. 32GB of Gskill 3200mhz C16 and 2TB Inland Premium NVME also from Microcenter. Top off with 750W Gold PSU in a NZXT H500.

I play FPS games like CSGO and Warzone alongside RPG games like Far Cry, Witcher, and others. In the future, I plan to upgrade my GPU to a 3070 or even 3080 if the opportunity presents itself. That's probably the thing I would've done differently in hindsight. I had an opportunity to buy a 3070 at Microcenter and I passed it up because I thought I didn't need the upgrade but now I wish I hadn't. The PC handles everything I throw at it but just the idea of higher framerate without any worries about the video settings is appealing. I also realize that its about time I cleaned this PC out cause it's looking mighty dusty while taking these pictures.
