I've been wanting to build a new PC for quite some time now, and seeing all the Fractal North builds really pushed me to build one of my own. I set a budget of $1600 for this build and the build was about that much after taxes are included. I went for the white case because most of my furniture is white or wood so it fits in perfectly. I've been using it daily for about a week now and it's been great! Super fast and quiet. I love it!$1,479.92 -

My computer build is a multi-purpose system and also a love letter to the amazing retro cases from Caselabs. Caselabs went bankrupt in 2018 due to the increase in import tariffs. So, to this day, finding any Caselabs product is rare and treated as collectible. My computer build features a Caselabs S3 with a black interior and white exterior. It is water-cooled using EKWB fittings and waterblocks. The coolant is a Mayhems pastel coolant that changes colors from yellow to green depending on the light. I use my computer for school, but I also built it to play 4k games without breaking a sweat. Some of the best games I've played using this computer are Death Stranding, Horizon Zero Dawn, SMITE, and Elden Ring. Some improvements I would make would be to make the custom cables shorter, just so I can reach the drain valve a little easier.$2,336.93 -

Up until this point, I had been using a gaming desktop based on a Ryzen 5 3600 cpu and a nvidia gtx 1060 graphics card. I finally reached the point where I was no longer happy with the gaming performance I was getting out of it - namely in playing the recently released game Starfield. I looked at some gaming benchmarks and realized that the 3600 cpu still actually holds its weight pretty well in the realm of midrange gaming. And so ultimately what I did was replace the gtx 1060 with a new AMD RX 6650 XT 8gb graphics card.$658.92 -

He likes his Switch though. I like the Lian Li O11 Dynamic Mini design but it’s a little too much for my budget so I got the DIYPC case instead. I’m saving and waiting for a good deal on either RX 6700XT or 6800 non XT, then I can use the 6650XT, which is used in this build, to build another computer for my son.$616.96 -

I love the case, the Phanteks Enthoo Pro M, great for watercooling. I went from a Ryzen 1700 with a Radeon 290 GPU, to a 3600X and RX480 GPU, to a 5900X and a 5700XT, RMA'd the 5700XT and exchanged it for a 6600XT, then finally bought a used 6800XT + EK waterblock off of ebay. It's for gaming but I also do work on it, I love how fast it is and even when I'm doing stuff like AI upscaling to old videos, it's a beast. I have a strip of UV lights that do a good job of illuminating the UV dye in the cooling liquid. I had a 2nd strip of UV lights as well, but those things generate a lot of heat and I dropped one and replaced it with a RGB strip.$1,719.96 -
